This is the third time we have used this location and received 2 separate bills. This will probably be the last time I ever use this facility. Why is it my responsibility to pay the doctor? 1 bill for service, like normal businesses. The company should be responsible for paying the doctor, not me. I didn't like having to do self check in either. A receptionist would have been nice at the front desk to greet patients, instead of feeling lost until someone from the back came out. The customer service was really really good, but the one complaint is I was given a chest xray after I had already said no. That is unacceptable and now I'm literally paying for it.

Friday night, I was bitten on the arm by a spider. As it woke me up, I could not tell from his…read moreremains what kind it was. I washed it off and went back to bed. The next morning, I had a knot on my forearm about the size of a pecan. I started treating it with some antibiotic salve that we had at the house. Over the next couple of days, it became inflamed and started to hurt. Unfortunately, I waited until the redness was covering from my elbow to my wrist. When the swelling started pressing against my arm nerves, I knew I had to get to a doctor. I made the decision about 10 PM on Monday night to go to this new ER. Parking was easy as this used to be a grocery store parking lot. I walked in and found a totally empty waiting room and reception area. I looked around for some way to contact the folks, but everything was closed. In a few minutes a nurse came out to see who had entered, and finding me with a swollen red arm, took me straight back to a treatment room. After taking a medical history, discussion of what happened, and getting my vitals, she had me lie down and went to get a doctor. Upon returning, she asked if I had my phone with me, and finding I did, said I would receive a text and that I needed to follow the directions in the text. I did that, and it amounted to completing all the paperwork that needed to be completed. This was so much better than having to fill out all the paperwork myself. The doctor came in, went over all the same stuff the nurse had done, and indicated that they were going to start me on a very strong antibiotic then, and would write me a prescription for 10 days of the same antibiotic. I was advised not to miss any of the medication (taken 3 times per day) for 10 days. I was also advised to go to my PCP by the end of the week for follow up. He also said that if it got worse, before I got in to see my PCP that I should return to him. So here I am a week after the bite. The medicine has really made a difference in the arm. He warned me that the antibiotic may give me stomach trouble, and he was right. So he has been accurate on all that he said. Will I return? Hopefully I will not need to come back, but if I do need the ER, I definitely will come back here. They did everything I needed.

Methodist ER Bulverde - 2 separate bills for the same visit. Ridiculous.

We're not from the area, so I was nervous about taking my 18-month-old to the ER for a dislocated…read moreelbow. We called two ERs beforehand--this one was immediately kind, reassuring, and let us know there was no one else in the waiting room at the time. From the moment we arrived, the experience was excellent. Check-in was smooth, and we were taken back in under 10 minutes. The staff was incredibly kind, and within another 10 minutes, the nurse practitioner had already treated my son. X-rays were done quickly (impressive with a wiggly toddler), and results came back in about 30 minutes. By then, my son had fallen asleep, and the staff went out of their way to be quiet and accommodating--whispering, dimming the lights, and even letting us stay in the room so he could rest. When we were ready to leave, checkout was quick and friendly. Within two hours, my son was back to normal and running around. He was even able to be a ring bearer that evening with no issues! Hopefully you never need an ER, but if you do--especially with a child--I highly recommend this one.

The first time they got it but they pulled the needle out, blood EVERYWHERE! the second time the old man put the needle in and kept halfway pulling it in and out on my TWO YEAR OLD! I was LIVID my son was screaming until he was blue in the face! I will NEVER go back to that hospital EVER again. Then after I told them to stop because my son was CLEARLY in EXCRUCIATING PAIN they pretty much chunk the paper in our face and say "here go somewhere else."

She tested positive for covid. Doctor wouldn't prescribe her anything. I asked if he could at least give her prednisone for her throat. Shook his head and said "Nope. Not giving her anything. Just go home after after about 5 days she'll be better." The rest of the conversation went like this: "If you gave her monoclonal antibodies would they help her covid?" "She's not a candidate for that." "Ok. But would they help?" "I'm not going to prescribe that to her." "But would they help?" "I already told you that I'm not giving that to her." "Yea, I know. But would they help her." "Yes. They'd help. But I'm not prescribing them." Left the hospital, called a family member doctor out of state, prescribed her prednisone, her throat felt much better 15 min. later. Go to this lousy hospital at your own risk. If you do, hopefully you won't get this jackass doctor.

Get rid of Dr. Freeman or your patient count will just continue to go down. She's a terrible…read moredoctor. I have been having serious health issues for the past couple of weeks and since my primary care couldn't get in to see me, I chose to go to urgent care, even though y'all's your is closer and more convenient and prior to the certain doctor was always amazing. But the past three times I've been there have made me never want to see a doctor again in my life. The urgent care to go to the ER because my problems were too serious for them to treat. She even sent an email over to the Baptist ER to let them know that I was coming and I needed to be treated Now. I drove straight there I checked in. I was taken back right away. The nurse was super nice. I gave her all of my medication list all of my symptoms and as soon as she walked out the door, Dr. Freeman walked in. And I felt my heart race and I suffer from panic disorder. I started to have a panic attack. She is an absolutely awful doctor and I can never go to this Baptist ER again cause I can't trust that she'll be there or not. I'm a chronic pain patient. I'm established with the pain management doctor. I have an outstanding record with them. I don't drink or do drugs. I take my medicine as prescribed. Dr. Freeman walked in the room and didn't say hi. We're introduced herself or look at all the paperwork with all of my symptoms right behind her, she walked up to the bed and said what do you want? What can we do for you today. Which is absolutely ridiculous. The symptoms that I am still having are very scary and I'll be going to a different ER tomorrow, but I also made a post on the next-door app about Dr. Freeman and it's trending because there's so many people who have been treated by her and never wanna go there again. My sister and her husband have gone there and dealt with her and been treated the same way from now on I'll be going to Stone Oak Hospital. That way I won't be shamed for the health issues that I have. And also before I could even explain to Dr. Freeman, what was happening and what was going on She had written down how many pain meds that I had been prescribed this year and picked up and I said it's a good thing. I don't want pain medication from you then. And I asked for the paper to leave against doctors orders. And I will never be back to this hospital. She's a terrible doctor. She's prejudice. She's unapproachable. She's completely unprofessional. And she doesn't listen. She's just not a nice person to be a doctor and there for someone looking for help and as I can see on the rest of the reviews it seems Dr. Freeman has mentioned a lot in a negative light. Don't see anything positive about her. But I will be calling to get her information to report her to the medical board. This is gone on too long.
