I saw nurses changing out their PPE's (which eased my mind), the building was very clean (inside and out), and the medical professionals were very well dressed in clean scrubs and such, and all were well groomed. I know this sounds a little weird that I'm talking about the employees grooming habits, but it's all very important when they're, one, medical professionals and two, working with people. I brought my 91-year-old father to the ER, where scans and X-rays were performed. We were then told that the images had been sent to a third-party service and that the ER was waiting for the results. This arrangement was not disclosed to us during admission. Had I known, I would have asked more questions before subjecting a 91-year-old man to hours of discomfort. After six hours, he was miserable from sitting in a chair, and we felt we had no choice but to leave without the imaging results. We were told the results would appear in MyCHRISTUS, but they were still unavailable when I checked. The most alarming part of the experience was the response we received when we asked about the delay: "We have brain bleeds that have been waiting longer than that." That statement raises serious concerns not only about our situation, but also about the hospital's ability to provide care. Photo of the room we waited in speaks for itself.

I've been trying to see this in any way that would not make this "ER" look as terrible as it is. I have been unsuccessful. I'll make this as short as possible. My wife went in for severe stomach pain around midnight. She searched ER and this place was closest. They even have an EMERGENCY ROOM sign. She was placed in a room, nurse asked a few questions, then was left alone. A biller or front desk lady came in and said they know what it likely is but needed $800 before they could even say what she was paying for. She took my wife's cc (while shes crying in pain) and left. Card declined 3 times so she came in and asked for another. Baffled as to why an emergency room was holding life saving information hostage behind a paywall, I gave her the address to the actual hospital when she called me asking for $800, in pain, panicking, and sobbing. My wife left and drove to Christus Santa Rosa. There we learned her appendix was about to rupture. She had surgery that same morning. Something we paid for with heartfelt thanks. This Urgent Care let my wife leave without recommending she immediately go to the hospital, or asking if they could call someone, or helping in any way. If they would have done even that much i would not be writing this now. For all they care she could've died in the parking lot. We understand this is a business. They may have improved in the 5 years since this took place but I wont be risking my family here. This is a place you go to when your Dr. is unavailable. This is not a place to go if you're in an actual emergency.

I will preface by saying yes maybe it's my fault we didn't pay enough attention that it was an ER.... However, we were in and out in 20 minutes and out of those 20 minutes she was probably seen for 3-5 of those minutes. She was prescribed an anti-biotic and that's all we were looking for. To my surprise, and again maybe my lack of medical knowledge, they told her what the bill was and I about lost my mind. I won't get into details of the actual amount but let me assure you they bill as a full blown ER and are VERY proud of their service, by far the most expensive 5 minutes of my life. Again, all for a common anti-biotic. Can't blame them fully because maybe it's my fault for not recognizing that this wasn't really a med clinic but I can assure you I'll never make that mistake again and hopefully I can save someone else the pain(no pun intended) in their wallets. I don't write many reviews unless i feel compelled but hopefully I can help the next person.

Checking your insurance only happens Monday to Friday. Not good, I'm paying for a service not knowing if I'm covered. The second reason was that a group your size should have Point of Care lab instruments that are CLIA Waived onsite. PCR results are available within minutes and during an office visit. Check out your competition, I.e. TexasMed Urgent Care. They do, and were able to tell me my insurance wasn't covered by them anymore. I asked can you suggest anyone else, lucky for you they mentioned FastAid. Let's get some POC Confirmatory testing in office and I'll amend my review adding that 5th Star!!

It was very obvious to me that this doctor did not care. My wife and I have been patients of Dr Stanhope for over 10 years and have never been treated anywhere near what I dealt with today. This was the worst representation for pack medical that I have ever seen and we were many many years back some of the first patients of Dr pack when he came to town with his first wife kristen. A person who is neither me nor someone who is related to me or my father or anyone we even know. So now Alicia had given herself away - they cancelled with the interpreter but NOT the patient himself. What sense does that make?? And when I called to lodge a complaint about this woman, I was - tragically - transferred to the goon herself and she said that my complaint was "unproductive" and hung up on me. If the doctors/owners there see this complaint, y'all have my number and I'd LOVE to share more about what happened yesterday because I will be making sure everyone I know knows about your office staff and how they handle your patients (i.e. the money flowing into your office). I booked for a 10:30am appointment online and arrived before my time and checked in. There were 2 people who were scheduled after us. Our information is already set in the system so everything should have been a breeze. The front desk staff sent the other two patients that were scheduled after us and before us. I questioned her and she told me that because they arrived before we did which shouldn't matter because our appointment time was before theirs and we arrived on time. I watched the guy check in after we had arrived on the keypad so I know her excuse for why she allowed the other two to go back was garbage. We ended up waiting in the waiting room 31minutes past our appointment time before I got up and asked for a refund of the $145 I paid for the visit. The great thing about having health insurance is getting to pick who you choose to take your kids to and I will be taking the trip to a different Urgent Care in the future.
