The second doctor even yelled at me in the exam room telling me he is not interested in what I had to say while I tried to explain why I am there. The doctor at Southwest dismissed me saying I was seeing streaks on their lens machine and that it was as good as it was going to get with my prescription. For two years I struggled with my prescription making it hard to see. I remembered I went to see an optometrist back at El Paso Eyeworks located on Gateway w. I recalled I saw clearly after my exam, so I reached out to her. I saw the optometrist (Dr. Syndy Maynard) this past Saturday, and she listened to my concerns. Turns out, 3 doctors (ophthalmologist, all male), could not figure out that I now needed bifocals. I told these 3 ophthalmologists the exact same thing I told this optometrist. That was the change in my vision. I never had to wear bifocals before. These previous doctors could not figure out or care to figure out that hey, maybe we should take her seriously and investigate just a little further. Two years I was struggling to see! One doctor listened, cared and helped make the correct diagnosis. I am forever grateful for Dr. Maynard and strongly recommend her!

Plenty of food options... not much parking that's convenient. You would best overshoot the Walmart parking and after their last entrance on Mesa St., park, and then walk back to the Market. The vendors are super friendly and I certainly didn't feel any pressure to buy anything, but there was a lot of quality stuff. It's not entirely overwhelming, and you can see everything they have and try anything you want in about an hour's time with no rush. All the vendors are ready for contactless payment, but they take cash too. if you need cash, an ATM is close by. The food trucks are towards the front, and the vendor tents are well organized into columns along the center of the market. Everybody from the vendors to the market goers were all friendly and at around noon, the market was bustlin' but not overly busy. We bought some farm fresh honey. The kids were amazed by the 3D printed creations, the freeze dried candies, and the desserts available at the market. The kids also were entertained at the Build a Pen vendor. They spent a good 10 minutes deciding on the various bobbles to personalize their new pens. it was fun.

It seems like it's a bit hard to social distance because the space is kind of small. I felt pretty comfortable since everyone I saw was wearing a mask and it's held outdoors. There was a lot of snacks I wanted to buy. Some vendors had some delicious looking desserts, especially cookies! Yum! I'll definitely stop by again. All of the vendors we bought from were nice and helpful. This market is usually located in the Hobby Lobby parking lot on North Mesa. It's usually there every Sunday between 11 am and 3 pm. They sometimes switch locations. It's best to check their website uppervalleymarket.com and/or follow their social media @uppervalleymarket to stay up to date on what's happening each week. I would definitely recommend and plan on coming back. I need to get my hands on some of those cookies I saw! Why I left without taking some home is beyond me! They cancel appointments with no explanation. Then set my appointment before the doors even open then claim people were there all along. I called 3 times and phones said it was closed. And I knocked for 10 minutes. I left because everything said closed. Now I need to talk to some supervisor to even get an appointment. But I have no confidence that they won't cancel my appointment for no reason and that staff will show up on time. I am frustrated that I live all the way in New Mexico and went there to turn around and leave and have not received an apology for them being late and not explaining that technically it was closed.
