First they send a fraudster, Gary Farmer (GOOGLE HIS NAME) to our house with a binder full of false medals and accolades from the military when the guys being charged with STOLEN VALOR, he never served a day in his life!! He went to the extreme to fake recommendations, medals, accomplishments and the whole nine!! We chose Steel Hammer who was the mid bid of the 4 companies due the the fact of Allegedly being Veteran owned, and being a general contractor as we had trusses broken from a fallen tree. First off they held our 10k down payment ransom for 2 months while giving us the run around on the start date, in that time we had 2 close calls with hurricanes....speaking of hurricanes, they even lied to me and said our materials were sent to the west coast because the hit areas got precedent, I called the supplier and NO ORDER was ever even made! I finally told them to give us our money back and we'd hire a competent company, this was after Gary tells me to do so, but at that point I was already going to do it because I hate LIARS and being ran around during a very active hurricane season. I guess the thought of losing money got them moving, and the thought of doing the whole hiring process over and waiting on a check during hurricane season led us to just allow these CLOWNS to do the job!! LET THE NIGHTMARE BEGIN!! Oyeah, it hasn't even started yet!! They were supposed to get a engineers design to fix the trusses in which I was guaranteed by Brandon and Gary they would do, it was my first question when they said they could do the job. We unfortunately were on vacation when the roof was fixed, or rather NOT FIXED!! I doubt they had a engineers fix on the first attempt, in fact I doubt the roofers who showed up even knew about the broken trusses! They slap some 2x4s half ass on it and re-roofed it! There was a bird bath so big you could see it from the ISS!! I send pictures to the Building Official and he pulls the passed inspection. Now a guy from Brandon's Daddies company comes over to try to do what should've been done when they had my roof ripped off. Now the counties involved so they're using a engineer, the engineer wasn't happy with the 1st attempt to fix it so he comes out again, at this point he gives up and says the roof will have to be RIPPED OFF to fix it!! They rip the roof off and low and behold it's still bird bathing, why? Because they didn't fix all of the broken trusses even after ripping the roof off a second time! They must've used a jack, or just forcing a 2x4 made our living room drywall drop from the ceiling more than before and it was because of a broken truss. They also came on Thanksgiving of all days to finish it!! I would give them 0 stars if I could!!

They assisted us with 3 major projects: PROJECT 1: Renovation of an entire office suite that connected to my current office suite. With that renovation they installed all the framing, drywall, all trim (baseboards and doors), and all the painting. They were professional and worked around my needs and schedule. They were very conscientious of the fact that they were renovating in an operating office and took all necessary precautions to keep their work area clean and organized and to eliminate as much noise as possible. They charged a fair price, and the work done was top-notch so I hired them for another project. PROJECT 2: Renovation of a second office suite connected to my existing office suites. With that renovation they again installed all the framing, drywall, and all trim (baseboards and doors). In addition, they assisted with the design all the cabinetry and they installed it all as well. They also installed new tile in one of the bathrooms (floor and shower). All work again was done in a professional manner and they cleaned up each day after their work was completed. They charged a fair price, and again all the work done was top-notch so I hired them for a third project. PROJECT 3: Extension and renovation of front lobby. With that project, I needed them to get the work completed from start to finish in one week. This project required them to coordinate with other trades to complete the project in such a short amount of time. They showed up when they were supposed to show up and did all the work required in a professional manner. Our lobby was opened for guests by the deadline! Guests at my office regularly pay us complements on how beautiful our office is and a lot of that is because of the beautiful work this company did with the three projects. I highly recommend this company and plan to use them again for our next project which will be a complete renovation of our home.

Electrical not finish upstairs, bathroom switch put in wrong place and not up to code. Can lights never wired and switches in bedroom not even connected. Missing ac covers, crushed duct work in attic from moving or adding vent. Baseboards not completed. Bathtub/flooring sealed. Ceiling not painted completely. Holes on ceiling not covered. Let's move to the stair case next, they used silicone caulking to secure the vinyl boarding to the stairs. Now stairs falling apart not to mention they didn't finish the stairway or the hole they left for plumbing in upstairs bath. Now let's move downstairs can lights not installed in the bedrooms and additional vent in master bedroom never installed . Also was suppose to move a vent never done. Holes in ceiling never fixed. The doorway to the bedroom not completed. Caulking in bathroom not done. Now let's visit the bathroom they tore apart painted half never finished installing bathtub after continuous excuses. Sink never finished cement wall board never installed, plumbing never done. Tile not installed and toilet not installed. Now the garage installed side door that's not working and was suppose to install beam in garage. Never happened. This job started on April 1 2025 and Steve and Brandon did show up most of the time until Steve got his last draw and promised they would be done in 2 weeks that was on August 25th they came 2 more times and a bunch of excuses on why they couldn't come back and finish. Last I heard on September 19 he and Brandon would be there Monday 22. That day came and went and still no sign or word from them. I paid them all there draws and material costs have all the canceled checks. But they skipped town. I have had an electrician come and fix the problems they left me with as well as an Ac person come and fix the problems Kova contracting left. I will be in the coming weeks. Have a plumber come and other trades to try and get the work done that I paid for already. So this is not a good review. I would post the other photos but apparently there is a limit

Cody gave me a bid for tiling my backsplash (~30 sq ft) that seemed good, so I hired him. He showed…read moreup an hour late (though he let me know beforehand that he was running late). We went over the work that needed to be done and he commenced work. A while later I needed to leave to run an errand (my wife was home though). When I got back, Cody's truck was gone, there were a lot of cut sheets of tile, but nothing on the wall and no Cody. I found a message from him on Yelp asking me to call him, which I did. It turns out he has "lost confidence" and abandoned the job. He said he tried to tell my wife before leaving, but she was unaware of this. When I spoke to Cody on the phone he indicated that I didn't owe him anything, and did offer to put me in touch with someone he felt could do the job. I didn't go with his recommendation mainly because I didn't have enough trust in him to make that choice. The guy I did hire was able to reuse some of the cut tile Code had left, but we needed to buy 5 more sheets nevertheless. There may be lots of things Cody is good at, but tiling a backsplash with herringbone tile sheets is not one of them, and abandoning a job is just not OK.

Was told their crews were assigned to other larger jobs. Pack in/out work submitted to Allstate Insurance was not completed because they assigned their workers to other jobs and couldn't get it done before cabinets were installed. I was left with dozens of boxes to unpack myself before guest were scheduled to arrive. They knew it and put other jobs ahead of mine. Had to cancel guest who planned months ahead. Unlicensed sub-contractors. Most parts of the job required multiple visits to complete properly. Horrible experience with my kitchen cabinets. Management was unresponsive to my problems. Now waiting for a check for broken crystal that was promised weeks ago, after they were paid by Alacrity. Job was finished in December. Alacrity paid them. Still not check. Project manager won't respond to my text. Would not recommend them for any work!!!
