Beware! We had Heller do a large custom kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. The primary reason for the 2…read morerating, is they've refused to address an improper install on an under the sink slide out drawer. A clearance of 1/16" was all that was left between the slide out and the sink P-trap. The drawer should have been installed lower, or a notch cut for allow proper clearance. Heller had denied all responsibility, and refuse to answer my request to speak with the owner. The P-trap shifted, hitting the drawer, caused a leak, and ruined it. There was also a few other issues that Heller wasn't customer focused on: install of the light rail (insisted that leaving a gap/caulking vs. notching of this feature normal, it is not! After back and forth, they agreed to do it correctly, and it was simple and looks great), and a few drawers that auto close/fit isn't correct on that they insist is "normal". Cabinet quality is fine, but NO true customer service. I'll add this was a $50K book of business. I would not recommend.

I will start this review by saying I had previously purchased carpet from Carpet Fashion and had a…read moreflawless experience. I had recommended them to several people. When I purchased the carpet and tile, I had paid in FULL because I was confident in there service. I WAS WRONG! I purchased carpet and back splash tile from Carpet Fashion for my new home. My move in was scheduled around when they could deliver the carpet. Had my salesman been honest up front about the time line, I would have been less stressed. I was told the carpet would take 7-10 days to arrive. I was told the carpet was on the way and would be delivered the next day and installed the following day. On the day of the first installation, I got a call that the carpet had been delivered to a flooring store in Georgia. I was not upset as I understood that mistakes happen. I was told the carpet would be delivered the following Tuesday. On that Tuesday, I was told that the carpet arrived and would be installed the next day. The next morning, I get a call that the carpet had NOT arrived and they were not sure where it was. The carpet arrived the next week, and was installed the next day. BUT, remember the carpet supposedly got delivered to the wrong store in Georgia. Well, it was shipped from a supplier in Georgia. I do not believe it was ever delivered to the wrong store. I think it was never ordered. I also bought linear backsplash to be installed by a PROFESSIONAL tile installer. Linear backsplash requires a SKILL to install. When the installer came, he was frustrated that there was demo of an old backsplash. Carpet Fashion charged me for the DEMO so not sure how he did not know. He left his wife and another female to do the Demo. They then sat for 4 hours waiting for him to return. He dropped off drywall that they then very shoddily replaced the drywall they had torn out. The women then began installing the linear tile, however it appeared to me that they did not know what they were doing. I even commented to them that it was crooked. They could not understand English so I used a Google translator. I sent a message to my salesman who literally did nothing about it. The next day, the ladies returned and continued working. After about 3 hours, I told them to stop. It looked like crap. It was wavy and not straight. The "Professional Installer" came and threatened to quit the job. He even offered me money. He said it was "FINE", but he did admit that neither lady had EVER installed tile before let alone backsplash or linear tile. Someone at carpet fashions must have persuaded him to stay. He ended up ripping everything down and re doing it. Now, I can say it looks better but NOT like a Professional did it. To say I am disappointed is a complete understatement. I would never recommend Carpet Fashion to anyone. I would definitely not recommend that installer to anyone. He should NOT be a tile installer and if Carpet Fashion still contracts work to him, they should be completely ashamed of themselves.

Our kitchen was a 1980's builders special disaster with walls and vast counters that were unbelievably crooked and unlevel. For an excellent price and value that far beat out the big box stores and other well known local granite shops, Russel and his team helped us artistically pick out the exact slab at a large independent local granite yard, got us a great granite price, meticulously templated a tough kitchen, and even gave us a great deal on the undermount designer sink and 10+ year Stone Enhancer Sealant! We also weren't forced to pick out a slab from some limited selection that Archaic Design owned to get a competitive price. We previously had other granite and quartz counters installed in bathrooms by another local company that advertises granite specials a lot. I can tell you....Archaic Design did an installation and fabrication job that was light-years better for a much better price. It must be because Archaic Design, Russel and his crew design and build kitchens from the ground up and are building contractors...because they were able to do wall corrections, bracketing and exceptional install craftsmanship that NO big box store or basic granite fabricator around would have been able to tackle. AND there was no extra charge! Archaic Design didn't nickel and dime us to death, over inflate the measurements, or try to bait and switch us on price. Archaic Design's quoted price was our final price! ALSO .. We quickly realized how critical it is even if you are changing just counter tops to have someone like Russel and his kitchen building crew install the countertops to make sure that the proper structural modifications, leveling, rod and bracketing etc. are done during the install. As for the granite slab cutting and polishing work itself -- It was exceptional and I'm picky. There is a big, high-end difference in the edge detail and polishing that was immediately noticeable....yet at an extremely budget friendly price. I'm pretty sure that Archaic design is the ONLY full granite fabrication facility that also has a complete kitchen design and contracting operation -- which seems to give them exceptional 'know how'. Bottom line: Would highly recommend giving Russel and his crew a call and having them tackle a countertop, backsplash or kitchen/bathroom project. They immediately returned our calls and texts, and always answered all of our questions anytime. Russel and team were committed to excellence, service and high quality for a great price. They made us very satisfied customers -- Our friends and neighbors can't believe the kitchen transformation and the difference Archaic's new countertops made for what we spent!
