We couldn't be happier with our new porch--what a transformation! Iron Castle Construction's skill…read moreand professionalism are as impressive as the outcome itself. Owner Ken Schubert worked creatively with us and our design, streamlining materials and construction methods to capture the look we wanted at a price we felt good about. He took extra care in construction, picture-framing the decking, a detail I wish I'd thought to ask for and was overjoyed that he included. From inspiration photo to finished product, Iron Castle turned our lackluster, sagging brick porch into a wide, welcoming, beautiful entry. We're excited to tackle future projects together and recommend Iron Castle to everyone we know.

I honestly feel a bit bad leaving a 3-star review here because everyone I interacted with at Iron…read moreCastle Construction was genuinely kind, respectful, and responsible. On top of that, the quality of their work is fantastic. Among other great things about their work, they did a beautiful job matching the existing wood molding in our home with the new construction they did on our bathroom. Price-wise, they were right in the middle of the road compared to the other estimates I received. Where things fell short for me was communication. I know contractor-client dynamics can be tricky, but as the project progressed, it became increasingly unclear what the actual timeline or next steps were. The project ran longer than the original estimate, and I was never given updated, reliable estimates for completion. (Part of this was due to scheduling inspectors which had nothing to do with Iron Castle, but even factoring in the inspection wait time, the project went beyond the initial estimate.) Toward the end, communication broke down and workers would show up on days without prior notice, even after I explicitly asked to be kept in the loop on scheduling. That was stressful because we had our work to take care of. Big picture: Iron Castle does high-quality, beautiful work, and they are good people. But while I love the finished product, the process of getting there was not what I would have expected.

His quote was mid-range compared with the other two, but I chose him not so much because of price, but because of his responsiveness and communication. Getting someone to call back is half the fight it seems, I appreciated his efforts to respond to me. When it came time to actually install the septic system Gianni and his crew were efficient and got the job done without any problems or holdups. I have since had to reach out to him twice with questions and he has responded promptly both times. I highly recommend.

I highly recommend DiFranco Contracting. I can't say enough good things about Gianni. I hired him…read moreto do both my foundation for my manufactured home as well as installing my new septic system. He did a beautiful job. From day one he was super responsive, gave me a lot of good advice, he was very patient answering all my question and explaining things, he stayed right on schedule which was so important because I had a deadline to meet with my construction loan. He also worked so easily with my other contractors. He even gave me a great referral for the electrician I hired. Always showed up when he said he'd show up. When I saw that he was actually hands on doing the job and worked so hard to do a great job, I knew I could trust that it was being done right. He passed the required inspections with flying colors. He seriously helped save my sanity through the construction process since I had never done anything like that before. I'm so appreciative and grateful!!! Contractors that are reliable, trustworthy, responsive, are good at what they do, and are professional like Gianni are worth their weight in gold.

I worked with Kitchen and Bath Etc. to design and implement a kitchen remodel. I worked with…read moredesigner Tara Wenger from initial discussion through completion. Tara has an open and collaborative approach while adding her experience and design knowledge which resulted in a kitchen I could not have imagined on my own but reflects me. Details of the design and layout were greatly paid attention to. The kitchen has great flow and function as well as beauty. I was given ideas and resources but was allowed time and freedom to look for backsplash tile and lighting that was not in their showroom which enabled me to make the kitchen mine and unique. I do wish as much detail was paid to execution. Craftsmanship was stellar. However, I was the one paying attention to details on some work such as clean up, scratches to be repaired or alignment of drawers/doors. These were always taken care of urgently after I brought them to K&B's attention but I would rather they consistently checked work along the way. I also feel they could have been more consistent on cleanliness of site. My space was fairly open to other rooms but there are walls. Some of the the tradesman hung plastic and cleaned up after their work, others sanded without any barrier nor fans leaving me far more to clean up than expected nor necessary. Every single person who entered the home was respectful and pleasant. I trusted them to be in the home while I was not. I definitely recommend Kitchen & Bath Etc. and Tara. I definitely recommend working with K&B.
