They helped us out by removing the furniture and plantings from our deck as I was unable to do it alone and my husband had recently had surgery. They came and power washed one day and allowed to dry and then came back and prepped the deck and prepped/wrapped the siding of the house and the windows and doors. The entire deck, spindles, rails, fascia boards and underside supports were stained as were the small gaps between the floor boards. The men came back after the deck was dry and helped move the furniture and plantings back to the deck. We have had other neighbors comment on how beautiful the deck looks! After we pulled up the carpet we found that there was plywood screwed, glued and stapled to the floor. We pried it up, chiseled away the glue and pulled (what seemed like) thousands of staples. In the end, you would have never known the condition of the floors before River Hardwood finished them. He worked fast, efficiently and made several repairs weave seamlessly in. My in-person experience was relatively good - good enough that I was posting about it to family and friends with high recommendation. But the day after the move I went to set up my TV and discovered that the screen was severely cracked, having been (it seems) pinched in the top two corners. The crack spread across the entire top half of the screen. The TV works, but is unusable. I had to buy a new one, which cost me almost $200. I submitted the damage complaint twice and was not even contacted. For a company that calls and emails every day for a week trying to GET my business in the first place, that is particularly gross. As it stands now, I can't imagine ever using or recommending College HUNKS again purely because of the lack of response to my complaints, let alone lack of resolution. If you don't have anything fragile, sure, go ahead. But maybe move the fragile things yourself (my TV was the only fragile thing I did not move myself, and I sorely regret it). I will add that it was a 3.5 hour job that involved moving down from a second floor in a house and then up to a third floor in another house, and the TV was the only thing damaged. It was not packed in a box and the movers assured me they could use their TV bag and it would be fine. It was not fine.

Joe came out, took a look what was going on, and gave me an estimate that was identical in scope but half the price of another estimate we received so we opted to go with Eames and Sons. Joe was fantastic to work with and kept me up-to-date on scheduling of the entire process, from dropping off a trailer for the old roofing materials, dropping off the new materials, the actual day of work, etc. The Eames and Sons crew came out, did the work in a single day, and then Joe came out the next day for an inspection. Joe noticed some of the work wasn't up to the Eames and Sons standards, so he had someone from the crew come back out and redo it and then came back out the same day to check on the work again. I also noticed that some of the mortar between bricks near some of the work seemed to now be missing and he came back out on his own time to fill in the gap. Eames and Sons, and specifically Joe, definitely went out of their way to make sure our roof was perfect and that I no longer needed to worry about the leak we found. This was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend others use Eames and Sons for their roofing needs. EDIT: I noticed some damage to a window screen after the dump trailer was moved away. Joe fixed the screen himself and sent someone else out to take care of some of the metal around the window as well. Eames and Sons has gone above and beyond what I expected and they have set a very high bar for any work that gets done around our house in the future.

We met with Kirk and sign a contract with an agreed amount. There were already two layers of shingles which had to be removed. Unknowing to us the first layer was cemented to the roof. Removing the cemented shingles was a difficult task which too a lot of time. I was sure the Kirk would have asked for more money to do the extra work, but, he did not. For him, a contract is a contract. I had no problem with the roof since the installation. All-Star Roofing and Kirk will not disappoint you.
