This place is owned by Lincare. They are not accredited by the better business bureau and have numerous lawsuits for Medicare fraud. They kept billing me for the amount Medicare didn't cover. These charges were paid in full by my supplemental insurance. After numerous attempts to call and being on hold for over an hour I gave up. I was told to call their wecare number and wax told the estimated wait time would be 156 minutes. I took copies of all of the EOBs showing that they were paid in full. By far, the WORST DME vendor we have ever had the displeasure of working with. This place is a complete joke when it comes to customer service. They constantly redirect phone calls to other departments that just redirect you back to the original department. So it's a constant loop that eventually ends in being connected to a voicemail that is never checked. They are also the only vendor contracted with UHC AHCCCS plans. So many our patients don't have a choice but to endure the long wait times, unanswered phones calls, and cancelled orders. The intake reps you eventually speak with also illegally state at times that they are not accepting new patients - even though patients with UHC AHCCCS have no other alternative. Literally, not one. Keep in mind, if a vendor is contracted with a particular insurance company, they legally have to accept patients with that particular insurance. Now keep in mind, no amount of complaining online or over the phone will make any difference. What everyone needs to do is to go directly to your insurance to make the complaints. Get them involved because they will begin the investigations into why this company is not fulfilling their contractual obligations. But that's just the first step. Here are some other things that every patient, caregiver, or consumer can do. 1) Gather identifying company info such as National Provider ID (NPI) number and taxonomy. Yes, I second all their bad reviews....their so-called techs are pure scammers. They told me that the back tires on my jazzy chair were worn and had no tread on them. They took my chair to the back (where I could not go of course) claimed they replaced them, yeah they replaced them awright - with thire that had big holes in them. I did not find out until later after going about my daily business the chair began to drive funny in the back and that when I discovered the holes ( big holes) - I no longer do business with Preferred Homecare I NOW take all my service needs to Mobility City, since I ive in Phoenix I do have to pay a consultation fee (which I gladly pay) I know my chair will be services properly and with good, working parts. Mobility City has honest and knowledgeable technicians. Preferred Homecare could of gotten me killed with those shobby (new) tires. They are still trying to bill me for that bullshi#$$$ - they will have to take me to court. I have one leg and I am 67 so I was not able to inspect anything and I know those techs were glad of that. If I could rate them a zero I would. I was expecting delivery of medical equipment on 10/15/25 and was told it would happen between 2 and 6 pm. At 9:27 the night of the 15th I received a call and was asked if it was ok to deliver the equipment now. The person never provided an estimate of arrival, so I declined. He told me he would reschedule delivery of the equipment for 10/16 at noon. The morning of the 16th I called the company again and was told the equipment would be delivered between 11 am and 3 pm on the 16th. I called the company at 3:05 pm as no equipment had arrived. I spoke to an arrogant individual and from his tone asked to speak to a manager. He told me no manager was available I provided my name and DOB and he stated the delivery times are not guaranteed and I should expect delivery between 6 and 10 pm tonight. I again asked to speak to a manager. He restated none were available as he had requested their assistance electronically while we were speaking. I asked him if he had a Doctor appointment for 2 pm and the receptionist told him upon his arrival that his appointment has been rescheduled for 6 to 10 pm what would he do. He said that would be fine with that. It was at that very moment I realized the company pledge to provide outstanding customer service was not something he shared. Absolutely the worst company. We rented a hospital bed for my father, and when they came to pick it up, they left the mattress. They basically told my father, who is 91, who needed a hospital bed, and who can barely stand up straight, that he should take the mattress to the dumpster. How is he supposed to do that? What kind of a person, or company tells someone who is obviously physically incapable of lifting a mattress to take it to the dumpster? I have also been on hold for 27 minutes to deal with this. These people are incompetent. Our doctor sent in an order for a new scooter for my wife in April 2024. We didn't hear from them after a couple of weeks so we called them had to leave a message. Nobody got back to us. We kept calling, sometimes having to leave a message sometimes talking with someone who would "have somebody get back to us". Now it is December and we have finally talked with somebody who knows what they are doing and she told us they don't take out insurance. We spent 8 months trying to get this order moving and now they tell us we have to go back to our doctor and start over. How hard would it have been for them to tell us right away they didn't take our insurance? Totally frustrated. I called to setup en exchange back to the original N30 nasal cushion from a FF20 full face mask. I was told to bring the mask in and I could exchange for the nasal cushion. A appointment was made and when I got there I was told to repackage the mask and mail it back all at my time and expense. Why wasn't I told over the phone when the appointment was set that I was not going to be able to make an exchange there. DONOT TRUST PREFERED HOME CARE OR LIFE CARE SOLUTIONS! They never contact you back once they have you on auto pay, auto shop, you are Nothing more than $$$ to them. I've called 8 time over 3 months, often waiting 30+min on hold they transfer you to an answering service that states someone will call me back with 24 hours or the call gets disconnected. Noone ever calls me back. They continue to bill me for CPAP supplies that I am not getting. When I try and contact their billing department about the charges they tell me they are going thru a billing conversation and they do not have the power to stop my Autopay. I must talk to Link Care their billing processing agency...only for them to tell me that I need to contact Preferred HomeCare and the circles continue. I got a whole new Credit Card and according to BOFA Preferred Home Care forced through the charges. Their YELP reviews were very low 1.5 but my Dr. Chose them to fax my RX too. Talk to your DR. Unfortunately, I was provoked into leaving this complaint against Preferred Homecare, AZ. This company's low-skilled unprofessional Call Center staff is absolutely appalling. Hospice patients do NOT have to deal with such. Tuesday, July 30, 2024 @ 9:43AM, I scheduling an equipment pickup of several devices. Appt scheduled for today between 8am012pm....Never happened. Called 5 additional times, speaking with different Call Center staff (among long wait times of 14+ minutes...only to encounter Samantha. While explaining the dilemma, Samantha took it upon herself to act as a "qualifier" of calls and what she would listen to and what she would not. Sorry, Samantha, you're not in control using your uneducated low-skilled demeanor to intimidate "PAYING" CUSTOMERS. Without notice, she disconnected the call because I couldn't be "bullied" into submission to what "she" wanted to convey she had absolutely NOTHING with communicating to the 'customer' as to why No delivery arrived. Calling back was dropped into a 15-minute call queue, and finally spoke w/Denise who was able to report this: "Samantha wrote in the notes that the delivery was not keyed completely and therefore no scheduled pickup was entered however, I have scheduled it for tomorrow." I thank Denise for doing her job, while at the same time, if I had not called back, when would this information be reported to me? It would not have been. Is this really what a Hospice patient wants to hear after sitting up for most of the day waiting for an equipment pickup? I think not. I don't see any forms or contacts where complaints can be logged. but I "Thank God" this complaint will go to my insurance company (You know, the guys who pay the bills) in hopes that the contracted services with this company are reviewed and terminated. In the world we live in now, there are 'choices' as to where and how we spend our money. Rights To Free Speech: I just want everyone to know what a horrible experience I had with preferred Home Care. Back in about December of 2023 paperwork went into Preferred Home Care for a new smart drive for my manual wheelchair. Along with a new manual wheelchair. In March of 2024 I called preferred Home Care who claimed they never got paperwork. In April of 2024 I finally got my wheelchair which is a nice ki mobility Ridgid chair but the order got messed up on. I was supposed to get air tires instead of solid tires because of injury level. I since then have air tires. If I get a flat know how to fix. The air tires we're ment to be easier to get around in but preferred Home Care figured she can have someone push her around. Now for a even bigger problem. I still haven't received my Smart drive yet and been over year now not accepting. Called late spring 2024 only to be told I let me put you on a brief hold while I look into this. The brief hold turned into an hour or more. Called late fall still the same. Called last week still the same thing thing. When placed on long hold the call drops from their end and have to call back only to be put on hold again and by time it's said and done I would have been on hold with preferred Home Care. Many times I go to local grocery store or Pharmacy to do groceries shopping and get RX I see many people leave electric wheelchair or scooter up front and go racing thru store like nothing wrong. Since they not in expensive clothes you know they no chance of having expensive private health insurance and are possibly on Medicaid. So in reality it's Medicaid covering their DME. But yet good honest people like myself and others are giving the run around and face preferred Home Care telling us they lost our paperwork. Preferred Home Care would give me number to call but then risk being put on hold all day as a result of call dropping. Service is extremely poor. I had been calling for 3 weeks, and did not ever get through to them- sat on hold for 20 min. before I gave up- multiple times. I left messages, and I did not get any calls back. I had to go to their office at which time they told me that their phone system has problems and has had problems for over a month. They don't care and have no plan to fix the phones! I was so frustrated by these people that I will not use their equpment and I returned the CPAP. I couldn't get the right mask to try for my needs. An 80+ year old lady came in and had to make an appointment for next week since they would not see her and she couldn't make an appointment by phone. Tell your doctor to work with another provider. I have been trying to get ahold of the Tempe AZ office. No direct line. All local numbers go to a call center. Have been disconnected 6 times while the call center was trying to transfer my call. This business has the WORST service I've ever had in almost 75 years on this earth. No one answers calls so I can't even leave a message. I've even spent almost half a day on hold - just to see how bad the service was - and ended up hanging up before my call was answered. I live 12 miles from their Tempe location and have driven to deliver a message... to which no action was taken. So I went in to th or office this afternoon. Three women sitting behind a glass window when I walked in. Seemed to be watching for paint to dry then waiting for it to flake off. No sense of urgency. Re: Cpap Supply Order After waiting 20 min on hold, I asked the idiot (No other word to describe him) who answered the phone, for an update to my order, since I had not heard anything from two weeks prior when I faxed over the doctors renewal order, drivers license and medical insurance card. He responded that they could not read my faxed information and could not fill the order. I asked him, why didn't they call me? I have been with them for at least 5 years. He said, that it is the patient's responsiblity to call THEM to f/u. What does this tell me? 1.) They do not employ enough staff. 2) Do not employ capabe staff. I revisited my information sent and my Medical card was cut off, BUT reflected the important information as to where to submit my insurance claim information to. I was livid! THIS PLACE IS A HUGE WASTE OF TIME!!! STAY AWAY!!! I had a sleep study and needed to get a CPAP machine, since preferred homecare was close by I figured I would use them. After my sleep doctor sent my order to preferred homecare I waited over a week to be contacted and decided that maybe I need to call them to schedule an appointment. The woman I spoke to (after being on hold for 15 minutes) told me that they are processing the order and that someone will call me to schedule. So I get the call to schedule, and am told that because of Covid that I need to show up at my appointment time, wait in my car and they will call me as soon as they are ready for me. So I show up today before my appointment and wait...and wait...and wait...I finally call them to see what is going on (a half hour after I was supposed to be seen) and they tell me that I should have called to check in (which no one told me when I scheduled). She then tells me that they are already booked and will have to reschedule for another time...NO THANKS!!! I have waited almost 2 weeks for this appointment and because the scheduler forgot to tell me to call I take off work and waste my time sitting in their parking lot? This company provides the worst telephone support I've ever experienced. I took the equipment back as they never responded to pick it up and they said I didn't get it there. They were unable to find their record. I showed them the sticker on the wheelchair they said "Property of Preferred Homecare" and after a few more minutes it was found.
