I will ONLY use this company for an oil change as they are the biggest con artists and will rip you off any chance they get. First, when I purchased my car through them they stated that because I hadn't had an auto loan since the late 90's, as I paid $10,600 cash for my previous car, and because my credit wasn't the greatest, I needed a co-signer. My mother, the god send that she is said she would co-sign for me. My mothers credit was impeccable however; they convinced her that she didn't have any credit, that everything went under my deceased fathers name, even though her name was on their previous car, motor home, previous mortgage, etc., they still convinced her that she didn't have any credit. So me, being the gullible idiot woman I "WAS", had to pay over 24% interest on my auto loan. They stated I could try to refinance after a year and would most likely be able to get a lower interest rate at that time. Less than 2 months into my ripoff loan, our credit union contacted us and said that I was paying WAY too much interest. Obviously we knew this however; we thought it was my only option. We were wrong!! The credit union refinanced my loan and my interest rate is now an extremely low 2.1%! Yes, that's a difference of over 22% from what these con artists convinced us was my only option. Thank the good Lord and the Credit Union, I only had to pay over 24% interest for 2 months. Recently, I took my car in for its regular oil change. My car was at about 48,000 miles at the time of said oil change. After everything, they inform me that I need front brakes, that they are about 80% worn. This I was aware of as my son in law who is a mechanic in another state informed me that I needed to have them done before winter. So this, they were honest about however; they then went on to inform me that I had a shock that was leaking and causing my tires to wear faster. I had JUST purchased 4 brand new tires less than a month prior so, I was concerned however; knowing how this company operates, I took it to 2 other places for another opinion. The one place just went off what I was told was wrong, they didn't inspect it so, I can't fault them however; I was quoted over $1,000 for parts and labor. This included struts as apparently, you need the struts replaced when you replace the shocks. I then took it to another mechanic for an inspection and quote. Preferred, ONCE AGAIN, LIED! My shock was NOT leaking, there was no wear whatsoever on my brand new tires, no leak anywhere. I was informed that dealerships like people to have new shocks, struts, etc. after 50,000 miles and, due to the fact I was nearing that, this was most likely why they lied, to try to up-sell me and make me have something done to my car that was not necessary. My shocks and struts are in great condition! Long story short, parts and labor for new front brake pads and rotors, just UNDER $150!! My advice to ALL...NEVER purchase a vehicle from these rip off artists but if you do, get pre-approved at a bank or credit union beforehand. Also, if you do have anything done by them, an oil change is the only thing I would trust them to do. read more

I have never had a negative experience with Preferred. They have performed small jobs and bigger ones like radiator replacement on my Wrangler. I got a great loaner car, great reliable work done under warranty (so a great price), and I give them credit - the service team goes out of their way to give friendly service every single time.
