We had Total Home Improvement refinish an already finished basement, build a custom work room in…read morethe unfinished part of the basement, and build a custom storage area in our unfinished attic. Everything they did was fantastic. THI is run and staffed by courteous, highly competent and communicative people. If you want to get what you pay for from people who clearly take pride in doing their job well, contract with THI. The quality of the work they did was excellent - better in several cases than we were expecting. The on-site staff were super courteous, obviously loved what they do and care a lot about doing it right. Total Home quotes prices up front and strives to stick to that plan. Our project had some cost changes, but none were really surprises, because we were advised up front of places that things could get more (or less) complicated, and when that did happen, THI always talked with us about how to proceed before making any changes to plan. You have to sign off on contract cost changes. Overall, we love everything they did. We have future remodeling work planned and will absolutely contract with THI for it.

I selected Total Home Improvement for my second project because of their commitment to high quality work. Garret lead us through the design phase, Keith managed the project day to day and and Abigail assuring materials were ordered and on time. I highly recommend Total Home Improvement.

In addition they vented bathroom vents through the roof which had previously been vented in the attic. The installation team is exceptional, have worked together for years and very efficient. Sarah, our representative was excellent and was there each day during the installation. She explained all the available services and there were no billing surprises at completion. Superior Exteriors did the roof, garage, and windows for the 2nd and 3rd floor of my house. I had a terrible leak that started from a 3rd floor bathroom window. The leak went down the north side of the house. Superior Exteriors tore out the rotted wood under the stucco that was damaged by the leak. They replaced the rotted wood. Other companies had given estimates but did not understand that the 3rd floor window was causing the problem. I have recommended Superior Exteriors to my daughter for new windows, my neighbor who got a new roof and my sister who also had work done on her roof. I value customer service and I appreciate people who treat you like your project is important. Richard Walls has that gift and he is professional. I recommend Superior Exteriors.

Michael Prate came out himself and walked me through the job. We had used them before to replace a hail-damaged shake roof about 20 years ago and they did a fine job. When we decided to remove the shake because of age and insurance issues. (No insurance company is happy with shakes), The crew arrived on time (early) every day. They were very professional and courteous. Carlos was the lead and he was super. He even went above and beyond by taking down our old satellite dish and even was willing to wash our two skylights. Art was the clean-up man and he literally filled a huge dumpster and another smaller one with our roof debris, by himself. What a guy. Every night they cleaned up like they were finished and not coming back. The job took three days but it looks great. They sent an inspector out to check the job the following day. I can't recommend them highly enough.

We had an amazing experience with A.B. Contracting, and I can't recommend Chris and his team…read moreenough. We were remodeling our basement and got several quotes, but Chris immediately stood out with a fair, reasonable price and a thoughtful approach that made us feel comfortable right from the start. What really set Chris apart was how involved he was before the work even began--and all the way through the project. He offered great design and layout suggestions we honestly wouldn't have thought of on our own, from flooring choices to lighting to small details that made a big difference. He also helped design the space so it functions like three different rooms while still feeling like one connected, open area, which completely changed how we use it. His team was on time, professional, and incredibly respectful. They put down protective matting as they went in and out of the basement, swept the floors daily, cleaned up debris as they worked, and treated our home with real care. They even took their shoes off before coming inside. It genuinely felt like they were remodeling their own home, not just doing a job. The crew truly felt like family, and the before-and-after transformation of our basement is incredible. There were also a lot of thoughtful touches that really stood out. On days when we weren't home, Chris and his team would bring our garbage cans up near the house on collection day, which was completely unexpected and very appreciated. Even after the basement was finished, they helped move furniture and larger items downstairs, which felt truly above and beyond. Our dog even loved them--and he's a pretty good judge of character. Throughout the entire process, they were consistently kind, considerate, and easy to have around. One highlight that still amazes me: Chris and his team stained the basement stairs to perfectly match our first-floor stairs. I honestly didn't think it could be done, but they took their time and absolutely nailed it. The drywall and framing work were done beautifully, and what really stood out was that Chris came back later to check on everything and make small touch-ups, just to be sure the work held up. That level of pride and follow-through is rare. They painted the ceiling black and were meticulous--no missed spots, no shortcuts. Everything was done with care. We agreed on a timeline, and they started when they said they would, finished on time, and left the space spotless when the job was done. To make things even easier, we simply picked out samples from Home Depot, and Chris and his team handled all the materials. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. All we had to do was make one call, do a little planning, and enjoy our new basement one to two weeks later. And honestly, our basement is now one of our favorite parts of the house. It's peaceful, quiet, and truly enjoyable. What we expected to be just a more functional space turned into a place we actually love spending time in. The whole experience felt exciting--almost like Christmas morning--watching it come together. The results completely exceeded our expectations. We're really happy we chose Chris and his team for this project. The experience was smooth from start to finish, the quality of the work speaks for itself, and we'd absolutely work with them again if we ever take on another remodel.

Their expert analysis is I have excess water due to seeing a dirty gutter and per the work order they sealed it properly and I should have done it again by now. I've had concrete done before. Neighbors on the street have had concrete w/ similar driveways and I've never seen similar deterioration. Additionally and of course it was out of warranty. 2. On the day of the concrete pour I was informed the original design for the porch wouldn't work bc of our slope which we discussed at nauseum bc I knew it was a concern but again they were clearly not qualified. 3. I had to stop them mid-brick work in the back because they knocked down the existing brick and started to rebuild it the exact same way. I had to re-explain the new design to the team. Additionally they didn't slant it correctly or allow for the water to drain into the grass so after big rains excess water builds and slowly drains through unless I get out there to push it out. 4. They thought the brick around the grill in the pic below was an acceptable finish. (My entire neighborhood can see my backyard due to the way it sits btw). I asked them to replace the dark bricks to make it uniform and were given cracked and chipped replacements. At least its one color now I guess. Overall super disappointing experience because, we did our driveway one summer, landscaping the next, and just had our siding redone this spring and now the driveway is embarrassing.
