It wasn't. rescheduled our appointment for February 14 when carpet actually arrived. The installer cancelled our appointment as he couldn't come. Rescheduled for February 17, installer called again to cancel as his son, on his crew never got out of bed. We called and received a refund today. In the meantime we have had our carpet ripped up for weeks and are forced to walk around on plywood and our furniture all over the place. Very bad experience, we will never be back.

Bought two boxes, but unfortunately my wife went in a different direction with the room, and these tiles just wouldn't work and ended up having to return them. Now before you read any further, call Tom and book your flooring project with him, before someone else does, then finish reading this, as I assure you that by the time you're done reading this you'll really want to book with Tom! We were using a product on our floors that Tom was unfamiliar with, as are most flooring guys, because it is 'old school' and used far more in Australia, where my wife comes from, than here in the states. Tom also said he'd be more than happy to come over and look at our floors and read up on the product we were going to use. He was intrigued I believe. Tom showed up, looked over our floors, read the parts of the website I had printed out for the product we were going to use and immediately said he'd do the job. He also said he'd do more research on the product, how to use it to the greatest effect and the best way to apply it. All of which he did, and more! Tom really did his homework and knew the product inside and out before starting our job. Tom and I spoke a few times before he showed up on site and he explained his process and how things would play out. Tom was easy to get along with and always had a good suggestion to add to any discussion about the upcoming project. I felt very comfortable going into the project with Tom handling everything and letting us know what to expect. When Tom showed up on site the first day, he was nothing but professional. He walked us through the project from start to finish, explaining the process to us in even more detail and answered all our final questions. He also reiterated his 'dustless' system promise again, saying that there would probably be more dust on our already cleaned surfaces now than when he was done. Spoiler alert, Tom's 'dustless' system is really just that 'dustless'! Then Tom got to work. He prepped the job site and inspected the entire floor area, making certain that all was as he wished before moving forward. He found and fixed a couple of things and then started the sanding process. It took Tom two days to completely sand our floors and the attention to detail he paid was extraordinary! No matter what the issue was Tom had it well in hand. We had a few areas that needed fixing with epoxy and Tom took such care in fixing them that though I know where they are, it still takes me a minute or two to find them now that they are fixed. There were also a couple of things which hadn't been done right when we got our floors done initially years before, which Tom corrected to perfection. It was then time to apply our Waterlox Original tung oil finish. Tom was able to apply only one coat of this product in each 24 hour period, and we wanted 5 coats, so Tom would be there for an hour or so five days in a row. The first coat simply disappeared into the wood of the floor and left a beautiful color, but no sheen at all. The second coat got better and with the third we started to see some of the sheen we were looking for. Between the third and fourth coat Tom buffed the floor to knock down any 'grain-raise' and smooth out the floor for the final two coats. With the last two coats, Tom and the Waterlox tung oil finish really made the floors come to life and glow like we had expected them to! Our floors are some of the most beautiful wood floors I've seen anywhere and Tom was the guy who brought them back to life for us. Tom was on time every time, he was knowledgable about everything wood floor related, he was honest, reliable, fair minded, and his price for doing all this was more than reasonable for all that he put into our project. At the end of the day he gave us the best product we could have hoped for at a fair price and there were no surprises. I would recommend Tom to anyone looking to get their floors refinished, without hesitation! See, I told you that you'd really want to book with Tom by the time you got done reading this. Now, if you haven't already done so, call Tom!

Within a year of the second install, about 2 years for the first install, we had what we thought was excessive wearing. We had the carpet cleaned again, the cleaning company could not belive how poorly the carpet was holding up. We called Macco and eventually had a virtual inspection of our carpet. We had a list of "test" stuff, paper, comb, light, that weshpuls have available. The remote person asked us to video stuff over the phone and decided that although th carpet looked terrible, it was not a warranty covered issue. Macco never called to talk about it even though the inspector did note installation issues. We have terrible carpet, only a few years old and are out $4,000. What a horrible experience. We will never recommend them, rather steer friends far away. No coverage, no follow-up, no customer service, no satisfaction in any way. So very disappointing, the worst ever.

Our deep desire was to replace the old carpet/laminate/etc. with real hardwood. We wanted a classic look. We contacted Mr. Sandman (Josh) based on a recommendation and were not disappointed! The recommendation to call Josh came from a flooring outlet shop in town (UFO Flooring on Velp). When one professional confidently recommends another - that's usually a good sign. From the start, Josh was great to work with. He met us at our home and took the time to walk through it, understand what we were looking for, and answer all the questions we had. He explained the pros/cons of different materials, talked about installation methods, and offered suggestions to help us stay within our budget. He really cared that we were happy not just with the finished product, but also with the experience of working together. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the little things, his attention to detail and the fact that he takes such pride in his work. I could stop now and it would still be a good review. However, the thing that really put Josh over the top was his customer service. When picking a contractor, sometimes you're lucky just to get someone who does good work OR is friendly to work with - Josh exceled in both areas. He's one of the nicest and friendliest guys you'll ever meet. The best way I can describe it is - if you're throwing a neighborhood BBQ - you're absolutely inviting Josh to stop by! He and his crew did great work, and I'm sure it will last a long time. But when the day finally comes to have it refinished - there's no one else we would call!

Amount taken was 1/2 the cost. before he got the check he was answering his phone and email, after his phone was disconnected and he will not respond to emails. I rate him less than minus 100 as he ripped off an elder. if anyone knows where he is please let me know ASAP, as we need address to take him back to small claims court.
