At this point, there is no reasonable excuse for the lack of follow-through. Every time I manage to get someone to respond, the blame seems to get passed to a "scheduler." Then nothing happens. No firm appointment, no meaningful update, and often no response at all unless I repeatedly chase them down. Taking a customer's money is apparently the easy part. Standing behind the work afterward has been a completely different story. Mistakes can happen with any contractor. What separates a reputable company from a bad one is how they handle problems after the job is finished. Giving a company more than a year to correct its own work is more than reasonable, and I should not have to continually call, message, and follow up just to get basic warranty/service issues addressed. If you are considering Custom Fence, I would seriously think twice. My experience has been poor workmanship followed by worse customer service and essentially no accountability once the job was paid for. I am more than willing to update this review if Custom Fence finally takes responsibility, contacts me, and actually corrects the outstanding work. Until then, this review reflects exactly how they have handled the situation.

Communication was prompt and thorough and the job was scheduled to the exact date. All prep and materials were ready on time and the job started as planned. We watched the careful attention to detail to ensure the fence was completed where and how we wanted it. The workers were skilled and friendly, and the Project Manager inspired confidence. He replaced her front door with a new secure one and when it came time to sell the farm he replaced the GFCI outlets in the house and a few receptacles in the attic and barn all to meet code so we could sell on time. As a first time log home owner, I had a lot to learn about the proper care of our house and what to look for; and they took the time to educate me about what needs to be done! We had a bad home inspection when we purchased the house, and shortly after moving in we discovered a LOT of rot on the house, deck, porches and the garage. In 2 1/2 weeks, our place went from brown, frumpy and rotting to beautiful, fresh and a beautiful golden color! They also found several structural issues that I can address to further improve the quality of our home. LOL they also were very kind and tolerated my naughty roosters who were not super happy about their territory being invaded. I was also super happy that when they found a nest of baby birds at the point of our roof, they left that area alone and let them fly away before refurbishing it instead of just power-washing them down! It was truly a pleasure to have them around, and our home looks 1000% better than it started out.

There was overspray on Windows, other areas of the house we're not fully painted and you could see the original color bleeding through. I gave him a list of things that needed to be corrected in order to be considered completed and he got angry and wanted to charge more. He poured his waste paint into my patio window well making a mess and getting paint on the well and the window. He painted over the door bell button. The job was careless. When I refused to pay more he became threatening sending messages that he would come over and take the paint off the house and take me to court. I ended the contract with him and will finish it myself. He was pleasant until something went wrong and then became threatening. I would not recommend this painter.
