Wanted $200 for an $80 part on eBay and then tossed out comments after I said I would stop wasting his time (he said people waste his time) and left. -- Like the motorcycle shops that all crashed, people are fed up with the old asshole behind the counter (unlike big corps AUTOZONE etc) where you have to deal with there arrogant crap. NO MORE. We can find it on Ebay, read, verify, match order and have it on doorstep in days without dealing with these low life weasels. Worst experience with a business I've ever experienced by FAR!!! I brought my boat in last June to have my 25HP evinrude worked on, not only did it take over THREE MONTHS!!!?! But they were impossible to get ahold of, they never called to tell you that your boat still exists or if they are ever going to fix it! I didn't bug them til month 2, that's when I started to get irritated! They were so rude and lacked any customer service what so ever! Those dirtbags don't even know what empathy means! When I picked up my boat, it was still in back IN THE TESTING TANK STILL! Dirty and sundamaged, they left it in the summer sun the whole time, new carpet? Not anymore! So bad that when I went to tie up the motor, the bungee cord disintegrated in my hands! Oh, and the best part, the dirtballs stole my little iPod speakers from the boat! How classy! This place sucks! They take forever to get anything done, then it's half assed! I had to take my boat in on 3-4 occasions within days of getting it back each time. The customer service is slow. Picking up the boat, u wait around for up to an hour for no apparent reason other than no one wants to work, the place can b empty & ur still waiting. It's ridiculous! No wAy to run a business. I have taken my boat in for repairs and maintenance for a few years now, and I have never had any problems. In fact the last time I had to take my boat in for maintenance, I told them I needed it back for a family camping/boating trip in three days, and they had it completed on time. I have checked around other boat repair shops, and Precision Marine has had the best pricing. No qualms with their work. read more

I took my boat there because it was over heating. They told that they would give me a detailed cost break down of all the repairs needed and all I needed to do was to bring my boat down and authorized up to $250 for them to go through the boat. About two hours after I dropped my boat off I received a call saying that they weren't sure what has wrong and it would be at least $700. They then informed me that my $250 was gone because they put in a new pump kit. I told them that I needed the detailed plan as promised before I authorized any more money. Two days later the owner called me and said it would be $1500 to fix my boat. I told him no way and he hung up on me. Thirty minutes later, I picked up my boat, paid the $250, and got the scratch paper they provided me explaining the problems. I then took my boat to Capitol Boat, where just after one day, they informed me that I had a cracked manifold and need an O ring. Total cost was $700 for the manifold (installed), $48 pump kit (that right precision never replaced it)and $3 for the O ring (installed). Now my boat runs great and doesn't have any problems. If you want to think you'll save money by going to the boat junk yard (precision), think again, these guys will waste your time and money by misdiagnosis of your boat. Had I left the boat with them, not only would they have charged my $1500 for unneeded repairs, and then I would have found out about my cracked manifold. Stay away from them if you like your boat. I took my boat for its annual service and was promised the boat would be done within 7 to 10 days (Ok, a one day job, but maybe they are busy). On the 11th day, I called to see where my boat was. The parts manager Rick told me it was in the process of repair and torn apart in the shop, however his mechanic had called in sick and he would call me the following day to give me an update. Two days later I called back again and asked for the status of my boat Rick once again told me my boat was in the process of repair however his mechanic was still not showing up to work. 13 days later, I drove by to see what was going on with my boat on my way in to work. To my dismay, my boat had not been touched and instead was out in the same place as to where I parked it when I dropped it off. Being late already for work I called and asked what was going on with my boat and finally got a straight answer as he could tell I was pissed. Rick finally told me the mechanic was MIA and my boat had not been touched. He then began to tell me someone else would start working on it in the morning. Yea right!!! I told them to leave it alone and I would pick it up first thing in the morning. After being lied to for a week by there head parts guy Rick, I picked up my boat on the 14th day and I spent the entire day washing it and scrubbing the carpets of all the tree sap and dirt as my boat had sat outside in the sun under all the trees and dirty junker boats parked out front. My boat had sap and dirt throughout and the carpets looked horrible as well. This guy was selling a motor on Craigslist listed it as a great running outboard made me drive from Modesto all the way out there for nothing...motor was a piece of crap impeller not working lower unit leaking and creamy oil....he barely got the thing to start!!! By far the worst shop I have ever been to. I took my boat in for thousands and thousands of dollers in repairs. After a few weeks I went to get my boat and the mechanic guarenteed me that my boat would run top notch and dependable. However, I had to be towed in by fish and game at my own expense 3 times. When I went back with my concerns the staff and owner could not care less. I will never recommend this place to anyone nor will i go back. read more

Your not gonna believe this, but Johnny saved another Delta vacation this year. They took us in the same day I called and were done a couple of hours later. I took my boat in for annual service because I received a coupon in the mail for a free lower unit oil change and general check up. After Precision checked it out I was told that my boat needed $5,000 worth of work including the replacement of a supposed leaking water pump and bent prop shafts. The boat is not worth much more than that so I took elsewhere for a second opinion. The second shop told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the boat. The things that Precision said were broken are the type that you could not easily see for yourself. My opinion is that the coupon is a way to lure customers in so they then can turn around and charge for unnecessary repairs. read more

A success story.....took my boat there to have a service done....service was done and when I tried to start it , the engine wouldn't turn over....so I thought here we go. I took it back and it turns out the starter was very rusted. At the end of the day Precision Marine (Larry) did everything I asked. I took it out Wednesday and the boat ran perfect. I would and will definitely take it back for service. read more

Stay FAR away from this place!!!!! TERRIBLE customer service & rude, RUDE people. I was on hold FOREVER the 1st phone call I made so politely asked the women if she would like to call me back. 3 hours later & no return phone call I should have gone elsewhere but called back. The woman parts manager proceeded to hang up on me 3 times as I was calling for a simple $40 part for my husband & didn't really know what the heck else I was talking about. I asked to speak to someone else who may be able to help me find what she was looking for better & more patiently & she told me that she was in charge of the whole place only to find out there actually was a GM when she clearly didn't want to deal with me anymore. He, however, was probably WORSE. Told me he was basically too busy to help me. Got my part in less than 5 minutes elsewhere. What is this world coming to ~ such rude, unappreciative people. This place is horrible. I took my boat in to have $4000 dollars worth of work done. It was suppose to take 4 days it took 17 and its still not fixed. Rick told us when we picked it up to go out and run it hard and let him know how it went. It didnt even make it off the dolk. The battery was dead. We went to go buy a new battery and on our way back noticed the outdrive was leaking oil. Which they supposedly rebuilt. When we called in we were put on hold 3 different times for 15 minutes at a time. We asked to speak to the owner a manager someone and was told by the woman on the phone we couldnt. We just picked up the boat and hour earlier. Told her the issues and said there was nothing she could do becuase she was just the parts person. Now I have to waste me time canceling the charge on my CC till they fix the boat properly. They are horrible. One of their own employees said the place is a joke and the owner is an A@#$%%$#$! Never again. Now im going to have to waste more time to take them to court. already filed a complaint with the BBB. Just wish I would of saw that they werent accredited with the BBB early. read more
