I would recommend avoiding VP Remodeling for the following reasons:…read more- They require a 50% down payment up front and they press HARD to get you to pay as soon as they are done so you don't have time to find their mistakes. - The owner is incredibly unresponsive and will not own any mistakes by the crew. - There is uneven tile throughout the house I can do nothing about. - The grouting was incomplete at many locations, just gaps between tile. - The showerhead was not secured and wobbles. - The shower worked before they got there, and did not after they finished the shower. I was only able to get them to do that because although they pressed hard to get payment right as they were leaving, I held the final payment until they came back and fixed it. They left an unpainted drywall patch in my newly installed drywall. - They broke a tile during installation and just left the pieces in the closet where they didn't expect me to see it until they were paid. - Shelves were installed in properly and wobbled, one eventually fell and replaced, had to reinstall the shelf fittings. - The drain they installed clogs up constantly so that water fills the shower, never had a problem before. Overall, it was a subpar job for a relatively cheap price. I only used them for tile, hopefully they are more apt at other services the claim to be able to provide. However, with them not offering to do a walk through and trying to get offsite and the way they pushed on getting final payment immediately after finishing (as in, still packing up their tools), I would have been left with over $1,000 in repairs on a less than $10,000 job if I had not held back the final payment. Do yourself a favor and find an honest contractor that takes pride in their work and owns up to their mistakes.

One of the standouts was Ray who did our tile, backsplash, and various other jobs with the project. He always started the day with a smile and was friendly and approachable 100% of the time. There was patches of vegetation left along the entirety of the fence line. I had specifically requested the fence line to be cleared for the new fence, but Joel basically ignored what I had asked. I wouldnt call it professional work at all. My neighbors had better luck with Joe McGrady excavating. The mistake and regret is that we paid Andres before he completed the work. He did a horrendous job and broke the tiles against the walls of the shower which we did Not need to be replaced. He left and said his work was done, which it was NOT. He did NOT finish grouting the tiles. I called him and spoke to him and he stated the work was complete. It was NOT a complete job. He then proceeded to yell and scream vulgarity at my husband and I. He continued to belittle and threaten us over the phone. He then said he would put a Lien on our home. Please do yourself a Humongous favor and STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY from this guy (Andres). He is unprofessional and does NOT know what he's doing. He's extremely dangerous! I should have called the police on him. There are bad reviews on him on Google where a client was so angry that the client went to his home to speak to Andres and tried to demand their money back.

Extremely Disappointed - Misleading Financing and Unfair Practices…read more I would never recommend A.G.U. Roofing Company after my experience. I originally contacted them about getting a new roof and solar using the PACE financing program offered by the State of Florida. A.G.U. told me in writing that the interest rate would be 7.99%, which sounded reasonable. Based on that, I agreed to move forward. When I got the final numbers, the rate had jumped to 12.79%, far higher than what was promised. I told them that was too much and decided to do just the roof and pay cash instead. I ended up paying over $20,000 for the roof alone, which I later found out was very high compared to other estimates I received. Now, even after I've paid in full for the roof, A.G.U. is trying to charge me a $1,000 cancellation fee just because I didn't do the solar. That is completely unfair, especially since their own misleading information about the interest rate is the reason I canceled the solar in the first place. This company's sales tactics are deceptive, their pricing is excessive, and their business practices are unacceptable. Be very careful before signing anything with them. I truly regret doing business with A.G.U. Roofing.
