Rating should be a minus 10! After a long-awaited decision to get my haircut locally rather than travelling long distance, I called this salon for some information. The person that answered the phone was apparently the owner. I cannot begin to tell you how rude she was. My questions were pretty basic: Are you accepting new clients? Do you do razor cuts? What do you charge? I eventually want to grow my hair a little longer into a razor cut bob. She immediately read me the riot act after I told her a friend in another city had been cutting my hair for years, but she was getting close to retirement. This woman sarcastically told me her location, as if I didn't know where I was calling & that I was a complete idiot. I told her I was well aware of it, since I too, was local. Then she launched an attack on me because I wanted to grow my hair out, automatically assuming I would not make an appointment for 5 or 6 months. Gee, I still need to keep my hair trimmed up while its growing out! Then I got her verbal resume (repeatedly) stating how long she's been cutting hair, & how long she's been in business. Why go there if you don't want my business to begin with? I was told the salon only had two stylists, herself & her daughter. Her daughter did razor cuts but was not accepting new clients. They do not wash hair before a cut; they only cut it dry. And finally, this extremely rude woman kept talking over me, so she never heard what I was saying. Why the @#$%^ would I book an appointment with her or her salon? One can only hope her business tanks soon. read more

Truly unbelievable business practices. I just called to make an appointment. She told me that they are appointment only. I said I would like to make an appointment. She asked if I was 100% certain that I would show up. I said yes. Then she asked if I knew where they were located. I said, "yes, I just googled your place of business and I'm a short walk away." She then lost it and said they weren't going to take me because she didn't like my attitude. I'm flabbergasted at the treatment I received and that people like this can own and operate a business. Truly disgusting behavior, but I guess she did me a favor by saving me 45 minutes in her presence. read more

I have never felt so attacked and disrespected by the owner Haley. I was unable to make my appointment and she called and proceeded to call me a "little b****" and threw out the F word several times. I have never been spoken to in such a repulsive manor by a person let alone a business owner. It's sad to see hurt people trying to hurt others. I would never refer anyone to this salon. read more

Told them I would be 10 min late, they said if I would be more than 5 min late it wouldn't work. So I stopped trying to make it. They called me 15 minutes later and called me a f*** prick. They then told me never to dare show up there again "or else." they displayed a complete lack of professionalism. The vague threats are not my favorite either. Absolute nightmare! Hailey is one of the most unkind, self righteous and unprofessional people I've met in quite some time. The valley does not need this kind of representation. We had to cancel an appointment (which she was paid for). She then cancelled our follow up appointment without notice and when I called to discuss why she proceeded to talk over me telling me "she is the best in the valley" and when I told her that her behavior was quite unprofessional she said " f u you mother fer" and hung up the phone. The salon is very cute and shared with her mom, Cindy! Adorable space with a vintage chair and modern decorative detail. Simple, clean, & classy! Hayley was fantastic! I love her personality and her attention to detail! I wear an A-line bob and like sharp edges and clean lines. I read she cuts with a razor and love how it looks when my hair is cut this way! I ask questions about their knowledge because a stylist can mangle your hair if they don't know what they are doing. HAYLEY KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING! With all the amazing salons in town (Main Muse, Greg at Zenergy) all I can say is RUDE! Hayley was extremely unprofessional! Given that I was BOOKING THREE BLOWOUTS and Hayley's prices are above average, I asked about her price and expertise. This set her off and she ended the call with "I am going to pass, have a nice day!" before HANGING UP ON ME. Hayley, grow up! You need to work on your customer service skills and acknowledge that if you charge $65 for a blowout - you may be questioned. This is the first time in 45 years of visiting Sun Valley that I encountered such DIVA behavior. It doesn't belong in the Valley. GO ELSEWHERE! There is way too much talent in this town to have to deal with someone who doesn't care about being friendly to potential new clients. read more

I have extremely difficult hair to cut, since it is dead straight and shows every scissor mark. Hayley is the only stylist within a 100-mile radius that knows how to give me a fabulous cut! She rocks!! I enjoy her personality, and she is a wizard with a razor. Doesn't hurt that the price is easy on my pocketbook, as well. read more

Haley cut my hair about 3 weeks ago. She asked a couple of questions to find out what I wanted. She uses a razor for the precision cut on dry hair. Excellent haircut when I walked out and it still looks fabulous. I highly recommend Haley. Excellent cut, quick, and appropriately priced.
