Ashlene was our barber and she works on Sundays. We loved that! It's sometimes hard to be a new client because a lot of places are booked so many weeks out with their regular clientele. We booked this, then thought...wait is this right...its Sunday! It was quiet in the shop and Ashlene was great! What worked? She took clients on Sunday. There was no one in the shop Ashlene was great to work with, asked us what we wanted and listed to us. The shop was clean and large with interesting memorabilia/decor Ashlene held the door open and helped me get inside. The shop was easy to find Parking was available and sufficient. We have a pretty big truck and its not always easy to find a spot for a 23' dually. What did not work? Not the most accessible location. I was on crutches and there was no ramp that made it easy to access. I had to go up a pretty good step and I was still working on balance and no load bearing on my right leg. The person that answered the phone was apparently the owner. I cannot begin to tell you how rude she was. My questions were pretty basic: Are you accepting new clients? Do you do razor cuts? What do you charge? I eventually want to grow my hair a little longer into a razor cut bob. She immediately read me the riot act after I told her a friend in another city had been cutting my hair for years, but she was getting close to retirement. This woman sarcastically told me her location, as if I didn't know where I was calling & that I was a complete idiot. I told her I was well aware of it, since I too, was local. Then she launched an attack on me because I wanted to grow my hair out, automatically assuming I would not make an appointment for 5 or 6 months. Gee, I still need to keep my hair trimmed up while its growing out! Then I got her verbal resume (repeatedly) stating how long she's been cutting hair, & how long she's been in business. Why go there if you don't want my business to begin with? I was told the salon only had two stylists, herself & her daughter. Her daughter did razor cuts but was not accepting new clients. They do not wash hair before a cut; they only cut it dry. And finally, this extremely rude woman kept talking over me, so she never heard what I was saying. Why the @#$%^ would I book an appointment with her or her salon? One can only hope her business tanks soon.

Rafael is also really great with kids haircuts and is a really good barber. The shop has a really cool and chill atmosphere as well, the kind of place where you just want to hang out all day.
