The lab they use if either no good, or someone in there office does not know how to take proper measurements. And the glasses are VERY EXPENSIVE. If you get an eye exam I'd recommend taking your prescription elsewhere to get filled. I've been waiting almost a month for my glasses to come in. Very frustrating since I'm wearing an old pair that gives me headaches.

About…read morea year and a half ago, I had taken my daughter to a different eye doctor in town and they could not get her to see with corrective lenses. They referred us to specialists in St. Louis to have a multitude of tests ran. We were told that she was going to go blind due to a degenerative disease. Luckily this was a misdiagnosis; however, we still had no answers as to why they couldn't fit my daughter with some glasses. We were beyond frustrated! We switched to Becvar Optometry and one year later she has 20x20 vision with no corrective lenses! Dr. Stacy Becvar was quick to diagnose her stating that the muscles that help to focus her eyes weren't working properly and needed to be trained (in my layman's terms). She put her in some glasses that were to help her eye muscles learn to adjust. One year ago, she could barely make out the biggest row of letters on the eye chart. Yesterday at our appointment, it was pretty amazing to see her be able to read every single letter on the screen...even the smallest ones! We think Becvar Optometry is the best! Besides being crazy smart to figure all this out when no one else seemed to be able to help us; she's super nice, genuine and truly caring!

The only reason I still go there is because they can take walk-ins or immediate appointments, otherwise I'd never go there again. I have gotten 2 pairs of glasses from them and the one had been such terrible quality that the first time I wore it, the lens popped off, then when I took it back for repair, they had to send it back for another 2 weeks totaling a month for that pair. Come to find several months later the lenses are completely cloudy and unusable ~ $250 AFTER INSURANCE wasted - good thing I ordered the secondary pair as a backup. I again went back a month ago, ordered another simple frameless pair of glasses (you would think it would be easier to make with no frames to fit into)...it is going on a month now and I still don't have my glasses. I've called 3 times now, the first time they just hung up without answering, the subsequent times I was given the excuse that the lenses need to be special ordered. I was very nice about it when I spoke to that same employee each subsequent time and asked nicely if she could either text or call or leave a vm to let me know if they ever arrive or what the status is and every single time she never called, so I have to call weekly just to hear her give the same excuse and never contact me. I hope Corporate reads these reviews and address the poor customer support. There are plenty of other eye centers in town that also accept insurance and I highly recommend that people go elsewhere. After this I certainly will.

They were quick to answer the questions I had, and I felt very comfortable. The doctor was gentle with the eye exam, and I felt like he answered all the questions I had easily. He was very nice and efficient. He didn't waste my time. Really, no one here did at all. The office is very clean and quiet. It's comfortable without being over the top and definitely not super cold and clinical. It was really a great follow-up, and I'm so glad they were able to get me in so quickly after my procedure since it was barely 24 hours. I'm glad they were able to accommodate my schedule.
