I had my follow-up of my procedure done here, and I was extremely happy with how it went. First off, everyone was super nice and genuine. They were quick to answer the questions I had, and I felt very comfortable. The doctor was gentle with the eye exam, and I felt like he answered all the questions I had easily. He was very nice and efficient. He didn't waste my time. Really, no one here did at all. The office is very clean and quiet. It's comfortable without being over the top and definitely not super cold and clinical. It was really a great follow-up, and I'm so glad they were able to get me in so quickly after my procedure since it was barely 24 hours. I'm glad they were able to accommodate my schedule. Highly highly recommended. I had 5 friends recommend this specific business to me so I researched a bit (after thinking about lasik for years) and jumped all in. I'm on day 8 post surgery right now and my vision is still clearing as the days go by. BUT from the minute I stood up from the table, I could see better than I ever had unless I fell asleep in my contacts. (Yah know, that, I can kinda see but they're dry so everything is blurry feeling). It didn't hurt, it's not near as scary as your brain tells you it is. Just a bit of pressure at first and then a weird scent (don't question it). AND I got a cool video of the entire eye surgery because they set it up so any guests with you can watch it through a tv screen as it occurs! I'm in debt now but it's so worth it to see! read more

I got LASIK on Thursday (less than a week ago) and I feel wonderful! I've been wearing glasses for 15+ years for astigmatism and near-sightedness and couldn't see much without them. After this procedure my vision is great and clear with very minor dryness. I was beyond nervous to get this procedure despite several people telling me about their great experiences and they were right. It was worth it! The procedure was super short and painless and the doctors and staff from consultation to post op were all friendly, knowledgeable and comforting. They knew I was nervous and were so understanding and kind. My recovery was quick and virtually painless (take the post procedure nap they recommend, it's a game changer) - just be sure to follow the instructions and use your drops and you'll be feeling great with clear vision in no time. I can't recommend this place and this procedure enough. It's seriously life changing and the only regret is not doing it sooner. read more

Don't go here. Go to LasikPlus, their parent company. I went here initially for my Lasik consult and walked out crying. I went through all the tests and within a minute of the optometrist seeing me, he said "your eyes are too thin for lasik" and told me they would refer to LasikPlus but there wasn't nothing else they could do and then walked me out. I was so confused and upset because they had said i would really enjoy lasik and that i would have a better life with it then denied me within a minute. I went to LasikPlus and I'm now a week out from my procedure. They are so much nicer and kind and showed me through the entire process with such courtesy. read more

I got my lasik procedure done 3 weeks ago. Everything went smoothly. Although, I was a little nervous beforehand, everyone including the staff and nurses made me feel comfortable. The procedure took maybe 5 to 7 minutes for each eye. Dr. Wexler did an excellent job, and I could not be happier. I am now seeing with 20/10 vision. I had no complications. My husband had lasik with TLC a year ago. He had a great experience. I was very nervous, but decided to have lasik myself. I have been wearing glasses and contacts since high school. I was so nervous, but the staff was so patient during the screening to answer all of my questions. The day of the procedure everyone was very compassionate and calmed my nerves. Dr. Wexler talked me through every step of the process. The entire procedure was so fast. It was over before I knew it. I went home and slept for about 5 hours. It was amazing to wake up and see without having to wear glasses or put in contacts. I don't know why I let my fear keep me from having the process done. It has been life changing. I can't begin to tell you the suffering I have experienced the past 3 years ever since getting Lasik. Turns out I've always had baseline dry eyes that they optometrist and ophthalmologist failed to realize even though I told them my main motivation for getting Lasik was because I can't tolerate contact lenses. That should have been a red flag, but these greedy Lasik surgeons will do anything for money. They don't care about consequences or follow-up. Long story short, I've had to get scleral lenses from Dr. Gemoules in Dallas to survive and I'm closely following any research and development in Oculeve (neurostimulator for tears). I think anyone considering Lasik needs to do their research. Sure, 90% will be fine, but the 10% can suffer terrible outcomes. Keep in mind that Lasik has not been around for a long enough time to truly measure long term outcomes. As we age, the eyes become drier and more prone to MGD. Dr. Wexler and optometrist here clearly failed me by not doing their due diligence during the screening process. As the cost for Lasik keeps dropping and the public start thinking its a no big deal, 5 minute procedure, I suspect more and more people will start suffering from negative consequences. Do your research. Just because your friends have told you it's a miracle, Lasik isn't for everyone and the consequences are unpredictable. I'd seriously suggest getting disability insurance before thinking about Lasik. read more

I've had several family members have lasik done at this location with Dr. Wexler. I was EXTREMELY nervous to have lasik done. The days leading up to the surgery I may or may not have called with strange questions multiple times a day, but they were always willing to assist. Luckily, my experience at TLC was great and the surgery went smooth. It's been about 3 weeks since the surgery and I am seeing great! I was actually able to see perfectly the next morning after surgery. All of my post-op appts. are being handled by my normal eye dr. (just because that office is a bit closer to home). If you're thinking about getting Lasik, I would recommend meeting with them to see if you are a candidate. They also will offer a referral discount, so if you know someone who has had it done there mention it during the consultation. read more

I had such a great experience at TLC. From the time I went into my first consultation to the time I finished my final check-up everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. I was super nervous about getting lasik (obviously - they were going to cut open my eye with a laser), but Dr. Wexler was very patient and helped me to relax. Lasik was like a miracle for me. I could not even see the big E, and a few minutes later, I was seeing 20/15. Thank you Dr. Wexler. My case was very unique since I has already been through OrthoK, where contacts are used to reshape the lenses. Dr. Wexler was recommended by a neighbor and another friend. The assistants and doctors up to the appointment were great. Very thorough and answered all my questions. The main doctor performing the surgery was very similar to the angry nursing home character Ben Stiller played in the Happy Gilmore movie. Real nice guy outside of the operating room in the consult going in, but once I was in the chair for the procedure I got to see the other side. I sat down and did his first couple instructions. In less than a minute I was told, "Okay, your eyes are really fighting me here. We can try again, but if it doesn't work we'll have to another day." It sank in after he told me my shoulders were too tense and my neck was too stiff that it was a threat. "Do you put your own contacts in your eyes?" I reply yes, to which he follows his 1-2 punchjoke at my expense. "Really, because I hardly believe that?" Everyone in the operating room laughs at me. Not sure how having steel force your eye open while a laser cuts up your cornea is similar to popping in a contact. Several times he poked at my shoulders and swung my head around, "this is too tense". I asked if I could have a second to process what was happening. "Why?!?!" He demanded. I asked if we could start with my other, more dominant eye and was shut down quickly "No." Got out of the operating room and the sweetheart of a gentleman is back, "Well your eyes really fought with me there, and I understand that wanting to blink is an involuntary action." wth a smile. read more
