I was told I had ALL KINDS of eye issues, and needed bifocal glasses, special contacts etc. I got the glasses and after a week of wearing then I had to go back to my old glasses. There's gave me such bad headaches I actually felt nauseated all day wearing them. Forward thru covid to 2021. My husband went to Zaleski Optical. They were nice, professional & they started FROM THE BEGINNING with his exam. He loved them. I went a couple of weeks ago. AMAZING from the walk thru the door. Tammy is AWESOME, friendly, helpful, honest! The Dr. Started from the beginning with me as well. Guess what? DID NOT need bifocals. Nothing wrong with my eyes out of the normal. Have 20/20, need distance glasses AND was able to get my long wear contacts and he even told me if I need a booster with them, just go get a +25 pair of readers from a store! Their prices are GREAT TOO. I did NOT feel robbed after I left there. These ppl really care about your vision & take the time to explain everything to you from start to finish. The Dr. Didn't rush me, it actually felt like having a conversation with someone instead of a conveyer belt of in and out. THANK YOU guys for giving me a place to TRUST. You've earned two new customers for life!!

I went elsewhere, paid again, and was properly fitted on the first try. * I then ordered glasses for $715. The prescription was inaccurate and the glasses were unusable. Patrick Scully (the manager/optometrist there) refused to correct the issue without charging me an additional $250-$300 to "fix their mistake." They also refused to provide a copy of what they billed my insurance and would not accept returns initially. * I later left the glasses with a female employee. My initial visit was in September; after months of unresolved arguments, I disputed the charges on my credit card in November. The credit card company ruled in my favor. * The business sent the account to collections. The collections agency dropped the claim after I provided documentation (including my chart and proof of the unusable prescription). * Just two days ago, Patrick Scully called me, claiming he had contacted the police, who were coming to my home to arrest me for not returning the glasses. This is false--I had already returned them. He also falsely told the police that I had intentionally defrauded them by disputing charges right after my visit (another lie, as the dispute occurred months later). * They never refunded my insurance company. When my insurance contacted them for documentation, they refused to provide it. My insurance has now escalated the matter, citing potential unethical behavior and insurance fraud. Under federal law (the FTC's Eyeglass Rule) and related state regulations, providers must provide patients with a copy of their prescription and ensure it is usable. This business failed on multiple fronts and appears to be engaging in retaliatory tactics against dissatisfied customers. If you've had similar experiences at any of their locations (Matamoras, PA; Newton, NJ; Oak Ridge, NJ; Stroudsburg, PA; etc.)--such as inaccurate prescriptions, extra charges to correct their errors, refusal to take back defective glasses, threats over civil disputes, or retaliation for negative reviews--please reach out to me at imediagroupnj@gmail.com. I can share an email template to file complaints with the Pennsylvania (or New Jersey) Attorney General's Office, the State Board of Optometry, and other relevant authorities. Reading reviews across their locations shows a pattern of one-star complaints, similar issues, and reports of retaliation for leaving honest feedback. This company needs to be held accountable. No one should face threats or financial harm over a civil dispute like this. Do not let unethical practices continue--share your story and report it.

Below is the pic of what I thought we would be receiving (I purchased the standard of this version -- which you would think would have a similar artistic touch/style but smaller or fewer flowers) below is what was received. Yikes ... ($81) When I called to let them know that the arrangement was not at all what was advertised, Kim became super defensive and not in a professional way. Her proposed solution was to "have someone pick up the arrangement for a full refund or pick up the arrangement and add more flowers to it" I said it would be embarrassing and awkward to retrieve flowers from someone who is in recovery... (from my aunt's perspective, her niece made a thoughtful gesture -- to have someone show up and take the flowers back or add some flowers only makes what was originally perceived as a nice gesture, awkward -- which an unnecessary thing to put my sick aunt through). Kim responded that SHE wouldn't be embarrassed (right, because it was ALL about her) and called me "too uptight". Anyhow, she continued to talk over me, refusing to let me get a word in edgewise... and then she hung up on me. Makes me super sad because I was being soooo nice and careful with what I was saying. I hate taking time out of my day to deal with negative energy, so I figured I'd let Amex deal with her and write this review so that others are put on notice about this place.
