Her proposed solution was to "have someone pick up the arrangement for a full refund or pick up the arrangement and add more flowers to it" I said it would be embarrassing and awkward to retrieve flowers from someone who is in recovery... (from my aunt's perspective, her niece made a thoughtful gesture -- to have someone show up and take the flowers back or add some flowers only makes what was originally perceived as a nice gesture, awkward -- which an unnecessary thing to put my sick aunt through). Kim responded that SHE wouldn't be embarrassed (right, because it was ALL about her) and called me "too uptight". Anyhow, she continued to talk over me, refusing to let me get a word in edgewise... and then she hung up on me. Makes me super sad because I was being soooo nice and careful with what I was saying. There's a white columned house with a semi-circular driveway, and next to the house is a long, wooden building with a yellow sign and old license plates near the door, and chili ristras hanging from the roof overhang. Inside is quite a collection: wonderful Day of the Dead merchandise, fine crafts, some fine art prints, "Graphite Objects" ( http://www.asbworkshop.com/collections.html ) that are hand-carved and write without rubbing off on your hands, animated diffraction grating postcards, Frida Kahlo items, carved wooden boxes, ceramics from Acoma Pueblo, rugs, scarves, felted animals, tin animals, jewelry, Talavera ceramic tiles, "treasure boxes," glass ornaments. The store is not large but despite the amount of merchandise it doesn't feel like it's too tightly packed. It's definitely worth stopping in if you are driving Route 209 in the Dingman's Ferry area! She will make herself available for emergencies and goes out of her way to help. She is the DOCTOR that does the eye exams and she is great. The other part of the business is the eyeglass sales...which is run by a separate entity and which I usually don't use. I get my RX from Dr Hall and then get my glasses at other places so I can't really rate the eyeglass sales. I have brought my 2 small children to her several times, and she is always patient and tries to make the experience fun! (And one of my kids has an anxiety issue to begin with, but Dr Hall makes it fun for her!) Kudos to her in this age of assembly line medicine that she takes the time and effort to care about her patients!
