Gretchen to the rescue! She's awesome and fast with a needle, with state of the art equipment. I had a unibrow I'd battled daily since I was 12 years until I killed it with electrolysis in 2009, so I know electrolysis works, but recently the chin hairs have been doubling up their army. She got all of them plus the suspiciously darkening above-lip hairs in under an hour. So if you have errant hairs growing, go see Gretchen asap. Electrolysis works, it's actually permanent (unlike laser), and will save you loads of time. Plus, she's a tele skier, and who doesn't admire tele skills? TIP: If you've never had electrolysis before, about a half hour before your appointment, take an NSAID and put some lidocaine cream on the area you're planning on having removed. You'll be just fine. It will take multiple appointments for permanent removal, but Gretchen will give you an estimate when you meet with her. read more

Gretchen's work is excellent! I went through several other electrolysis providers in the Denver/Boulder area before I found Gretchen and she is by FAR the best. She is fast, efficient, and thorough. I experienced pain and even burns with other providers but never had a single issue with Gretchen. I went in for a free 15 minute consult looking for a new electrologist since moving states and was immediately questioning my judgment after stepping into her "office". I sensed an off vibe to the place as we began talking and noticed no shoes being worn, no latex gloves being used and during the midst of Covid I was still approached with no mask and could practically smell lunch. I told her my plans to get laser skin resurfacing as a trans women for a softer complexion and in the short 15 minutes I had a crater in my chin the size of a pea that had been burned like she cranked the settings to max. I told her I was very uncomfortable without lidocaine injections and was told she doesn't provide them but she's happy to allow you to shoot up in office or right before arrival. Very unprofessional and I will always recommend running away from this place as I still have the crater of a hole burned in my face. After all of that she had the audacity to raise her pricing a week or two later like she was competing with professional level services which I'm guessing is why she had to change locations because no one wants to pay those prices for such a botching. I found Gretchen after buying a Groupon and I am so very happy I did. Her location is in an office building so she doesn't get much foot traffic. I never would have found here without Groupon. She pays close attention to her work and knows her stuff. I have light hairs and they are slowly fading away, soon no more underarm hairs!!!! Gretchen does the first session free where she takes a lot of time to educate you about electrolysis and what is can offer. She has a $14,000 machine (very high end) and she is meticulous and precise in her work. There is no licensure for electrolysis in Colorado so you can get people who haven't gone to school for it but just learned from a friend but Gretchen did go to school for it and she is a perfectionist in her work. I've seen electrologists charge as much as $85 for 10 min. but Gretchen only charges $30. I did NOT go with this service because I chose to do laser instead which is more affordable and only six 15 min. sessions and better for larger areas but it isn't permanent just a reduction but for me it was a better option because I wanted large areas. Electrolysis is better for tiny areas like chin and lip. read more

I met Gretchen a little over a year ago through a daily deal. I not only love the service she provides but it's a pleasure to be around her at every appointment. She's caring and very friendly. She helped guide me along the way in regard to facial hair with what's a natural look vs. an unnatural look. I'm down to 1 appointment every 3 weeks and I can honestly say, I miss her! I bought this deal off living social. I am so surprised at how rude this lady was. It took me forever to get ahold of her, Gretchen. I finally left a message and she called me back the next morning. She informed me of what her off days were before I could even ask about an appointment. I don't want to give too many details because she has my information and will probably see this but RUDE RUDE RUDE. I would hate to have someone with that kind of negative attitude sticking a needle in my face! Yikes, Gretchen, if you don't like your work find a different career!
