I had a new door installed recently by Precision, and the sales experience was amazing. The price was more reasonable than I expected it to be (so glad I got a quote from Precision.) Two days ago, my door stopped working late at night. I was able to make an appointment online very easily and quickly (they had availability next day- I just didn't). The technician they sent to fix it, Ryan Swan, was quick and proactive to figure out the issue. He had a big smile and great attitude the entire time. He replaced the faulty sensor quickly and I'm back in business. His positive attitude and workmanship is an asset to the company. read more

We had 2 problems with my garage doors. 1we added Owens Corning installation. Bad move on our part throughing the doors out of alignment. So now both doors are super heavy and my 20 old garage openers were not working. So I called and made an appointment to have them fix. He was on time clean very nice and profession. He realigned both doors installed new spring and I was very happy because now I can lift them both with no problem. A little expensive but good. read more

Ryan Swan was our technician today to repair the "nuts and bolts" of our garage door mechanism. Ryan was courteous, professional, personable, efficient and quick! It was such a beautiful day and the beach beckoned! He said the repair would take an hour and it was completed in under an hour and with extra care and attention. If you have any other choice, do not use this company. On December 20th, after pulling into my garage, I tried to close the door only to hear a buzzing sound. The manual release was unusable because the rope was trapped between the garage door and opener. At 10:15 a.m., I called Precision and spoke with Madison, who assured me someone would arrive within four hours. True to her word, a technician arrived at 12:15 p.m. I explained that I would be happy just to get the door closed since snow was expected that night. He told me this was not possible and that I would need a new opener, reusing all the existing hardware, springs, and rails. Imagine my shock when he quoted me a price of $1,293.15. When I questioned him, he said this was the least expensive option. He installed the opener and left by 2:20 p.m. Since then, I've done some research and found that I could have bought the Genie 2128 for $345.35. By my calculations, this means the labor cost was $475 per hour. I feel like a fool, and I feel sure Precision sees me the same way. They were quick to show up, for which I was appreciative, but after that, it was all downhill. read more

I was very pleased with the service They called early to confirm the appointment and then a half hour ahead to let us know they were coming. Israel, the technician identified the problem. I know nothing about garage doors and assumed I would need a new motor. He assured me that the motor was good and not the cause of the problem. He could have sold me a new motor, making money for the company, but was honest enough to tell me it wasn't needed. I would definitely recommend this company. My remote garage door opener stopped working. I changed the battery, but that didn't work. I checked reviews on yelp and decided to try Precision. Very organized. Making an appointment was simple and the communicate by email or text to keep you advised. My technician was Danny. He called in the morning and ask if he could come early after finishing the prior appointment. Danny was very pleasant to deal with, and was the ultimate professional. My double garage door suddenly crashed and wouldn't open or close at 10pm last Saturday night with my both cars locked in my garage. I immediately went on the internet and obtained an appointment from Precision Door and was lucky to get one for Monday between 8Am-12 noon. Matthew Nameth arrived at 8:42AM Monday all prepared. He replaced springs and cables on my 12-year old double garage door. He was professional, polite and knowledgeable. He left my premises neat and clean And checked all the other components on the door to make sure they were in good condition. He is an asset to Precision Door Service. Here's a breakdown of my review: The product they sell - 5 stars. It was the main reason I chose to do business with them. The installation team of Ed and Jeff - 5 stars Those two things are the only reason I gave them 2 stars because the customer service I received from the time I placed my order was not even worthy of 0 stars. Gina, the saleswoman, came to my house on 9/24. On that date, she told me the lag time was 4 weeks. She took all the measurements and entered them into her computer program. My credit card deposit was processed on 9/26 and I received an email thanking me for my order. I figured the 4 week clock would start then. Man, was I wrong! Three weeks later, on 10/16, I received an email informing that my order had been submitted! I was told it was due to a "measurement discrepancy." No one came back to my house to remeasure anything, so I have no idea, and no one has ever been able to explain to me what the "measurement discrepancy" was. In that same email, I was also told that the lag time was now 6-10 weeks with the possibility of it being 12 weeks. It took 3 more emails to discover that the clock had been reset. The 3 week delay in getting my order submitted did not count for anything. It was now 6-10, maybe 12 weeks from October 16th! They also informed me that I would not be hearing from them until my door install was ready to be scheduled. I understand there were delays because of COVID. However, COVID had been affecting people for over 6 months when I placed my order so, if the virus was affecting lag time, I should have been told that by the saleswoman, but she made no mention of possible longer lag times. Finally, in late November/ early December, I started receiving a weekly, generic, "Thank you for your patience" email from the company. No timeline update, no useful information. I replied with questions to at least 2 if these emails, but received no response to either. Finally, after yet another useless email, and with my patience running thin, I went online to their chat help. After expressing my frustration with her and telling her that I was tired of the lack of information, plus the timeline BS, I demanded that someone call me as my emails had gotten nowhere. Finally, I was able to speak to someone when I received a call back from a gentleman in their customer service department. I vented my frustrations with him, and I was finally given an approximate installation date of the week of January 18th!. Not 4 weeks, not 6-10 weeks, not even 12 weeks! We were now up to 14 weeks (17 weeks from the date I placed my order). Amazingly enough, my door order came through and they were able to get my door installed on January 12th. The installers arrived 2 hours later than scheduled. Ed and Jeff were terrific. They said the previous job they had done was one of the most difficult replacement jobs they had ever done. I don't doubt them at all. Fortunately, my install was very easy for them and they completed it in about 2 hours. Dealing with those 2 was, by far, the best part of my whole experience with Precision Garage Door. If I had been told up front that there were long delays with installation, my review would have been much higher. I read plenty of reviews about this company before I made my decision. Unfortunately, my experience was not the 5 star experience almost everyone had. They'll get no references from me. read more

Our garage door cable snapped at 8am, bending one spring as well so we called PDS. Rob was at our house just after 9am and couldn't have been nicer or more professional. The original hardware was undersized. He gave us a few options to get us back up an running with no pressure at all. Our large heavy door was 17 years old so we decided to replace all of the cables, springs, pulleys and rollers to avoid any issues in the foreseeable future. His work also come with a 5-year warranty, not that we anticipate any problems. He had the entire job done in an hour and the door operates better and safer than when first installed. Joel was totally professional and took pride in the work and outcome. The job completed was as I expected , all wires and opener and devices were installed to my total satisfaction. Joel explained what he will need to do to complete the task and the costs upfront. His work ethic was superior as was his work.
