We had converted our garage into a workshop and needed a door that would provide better insulation and light. I was frantic last night as it was storming and my garage door was stuck open. It was after 10 PM. I have boxes, things to pack every where. Some items cannot get wet. I started calling for help. Our garage door metal support snapped over the weekend. After doing a quick search online for nearby garage door repair, we decided to try calling JD garage door first thing Monday morning. Joe from JD Garage Doors showed up right on time to install my garage door opener, when he arrived he informed me I needed an extension kit for the opener. He said that if I could get the kit he would come back the next day, I got the kit and he came back. He installed the opener in less then an hour showed me how to work everything and even had an extra keypad on the truck that I needed. He was also very neat and cleaned up after the install. Joe just finished installing new garage door motors to all 3 of my garage doors. They work perfectly and I am very happy. He did a great job of explaining all the things that these new motors can do (remote controls, using WiFi, etc.) The new motors are so quiet compared to what I was used to. Joe was called this morning. Was out in Hampton's on a service call. Said to send a photo of issue which I did. He called me back, quoted a price, also said if he couldn't get into garage to fix the lock he wouldn't charge me. Said when done out east will call which he did. Arrived on time. Took him under an hour at a very reasonable price. Good guy, knows his craft and this contractor deserves a good reputation. I'd hire him again and also refer him to my long time neighbors. Couldn't be happier with my experience. I called and within 3 hours Joe was here with two brand new Chamberlin garage door openers. Less than 2 hours later the openers were installed along with new springs, new cables. doors lubed and adjusted and the new remotes programmed.
