I called for service to find out that the spring was not enough to lift my METAL garage door because the old one was made for todays garage doors which apparently are not metal. We wore it out making it do as much as we wanted it to do. I called this shop to ask about getting help replacing the bottom rollers on our garage door. They said they couldn't help unless I but the parts from them. She didn't want to tell me the price per roller. Just wanted to book a appointment. After asking a few times she said she would look up the price for the wheel upgrade I wanted. She told me the part was 58 dollars. So the 10 pack would be $580. What a scam. The wheels can be bought from the manufacturer for less than 30 dollars for all 10. I will say that King Door was even worse. They want 119 per wheel. So over 1000 dollars for 30 dollars parts. Be careful with garage door companies. I needed spring replacements; however, only to find I needed a new garage door opener and bearings as well. Total price 2000. Only had the springs replaced for almost 600. They only have one option for replacements and prices are way out there. Couldn't afford 2000 so had the garage door springs only replaced and still doesn't work. So not helpful. I had a garage door opener stop working in our RV garage. I called Precision Door service and The lady ( which sounded like an answering company). As she did not know anything about garage door openers which is odd.. She asked a few questions and got an appointment set up (easy). The tech came out and looked at everything did no kind of testing just looked at everything and said the springs are bad and old the whole opener will need to be replaced. I asked why is they no parts available for this unit. He replied "it's old" and someone would get an email to you (me) with a price. We needed our garage door repaired and contacted Precision. They gave us so many options, including fixing our old one. but we decided to purchase one of their doors with the windows option. oh my gosh it is so beautiful! Our installer was Jose. He quickly took down our old door and put up a new beautiful door. Not only does Jose have a great work ethic, he goes a step beyond. We discovered wood rot on one of our 2x4 sides. Let me start by saying their service and installer was great, no problems at all. The huge problem with this company is they will absolutely gouge you on their pricing. I had a garage door opener and a new spring installed and was charged over $2000.00. I do have to say that I agreed to this price before they started work because I was in a hurry to get it fixed, so that is on me. I have a broken belt on my opener. I called these folks and a guy showed up and told me they don't make belts for that unit anymore. I should buy a new one for around $500.00. Offered no other suggestions. In checking with others I now find these people are not that honest and will try to sell you stuff you do NOT need. Technician arrived on time and ask me to review what was wrong. Told him I had released the spring tension from the door while replacing the door rollers and was unable to get the tension back on the door. He proceeded to give me two quotes, one for over 2000 dollars and one for ~$1850. I asked him if he couldn't just repair what was wrong for the door, and he said he couldn't do that due to safety concerns. Re-tensioning the springs and maybe replacing the cables was all that needed to be done. At this point, I had little choice other than to accept his quote. We called and got a quote for a spring replacement and were quoted $200-300. We decided to schedule a tech to come out and replace the broken spring. Jose shows up and takes a look. He says he only has "upgraded" springs on his truck and it will be $375 for the replacement. He then said we needed to replace the bearings at the same time. When we asked about the original quote he said that was for basic springs that he didn't even have on his truck. He tried telling me we needed to upgrade to a dual spring system that was going to be $800+. We ended up refusing service and asked him to leave. Now the company has switched to damage control mode and is offering to come back out and replace the spring for $275. I initially contacted American home shield regarding one of my garage door springs being broken and went over my contract prior with them prior to agreeing to pay the deductible to send someone out. Precision contacted me shortly there after and sent a tech out who initially informed me that the warranty would not cover it and other repairs were needed as well. He left after taking pics to submit to the warranty company with recommendations for repair. I contacted American home shield again and they assured me parts described were covered. They sent out an approval and another precision tech named Enrique was sent out. He also stated the spring was not covered despite the approval. We contacted the warranty company together and were again insured that it was covered. I called the home warranty company yet again and asked for a supervisor and was told one would call back by the end of the day. That never happened. The tech contacted his supervisors and later called me and said that they were going to honor the approval and come out and fix my door. No matter what, if there was an issue after the fact that they would take it up with American home shield. He stated they wanted to make sure I was taken care of since they've already come out twice and we're verbally told that it was covered. I can't say how impressed I am with the diligence to customer service and going above and beyond for a customer who is fighting with their home warranty. Repairs were quick and parts installed were better than the original broken ones. Excellent customer service by Enrique and Precision Doors from top to bottom. Andrew arrived on a Friday evening at 7PM to look at our broken garage door. He quoted a full replacement and when asked about paint color matching he said that the new door would match or that it would be painted to match. When questioned if he needed the paint brand and color at the time of quote he said no that the installers would take care of it. The quote was for two weeks which turned into nearly four weeks. When the door arrived it did not match. Before installation began we confirmed that it would be painted as Andrew stated. This led to a call to corporate and a call from Andrew who proceeded to gaslight me repeatedly. He said did you read the small print it says we don't paint and that he did not remember having the converstation. We repeatedly asked him about matching the color because we wanted to be sure.
