We purchased a house that had the two heavy, spring hinged garage doors without an auto opener...it wasn't heavy to lift open but it sagged so much that we couldn't drive our (normal height sedan) car into the garage. Needing to make a change we went to Yelp and found Advance Doors. Chris followed up with me immediately...we arranged a meeting so that he could inspect the doors and give me a quote. Ultimately, I chose Advance Doors and Chris in particular because of his flexibility...during that first schedule meeting...my schedule changed suddenly and he instead met with my realtor. He adjusted to the change, no problem, and followed up with a reasonable quote to replace two old doors with new style track slide up doors with openers. I also had him instal a rollup door (like those on industrial business for my workshop(adjacent to the garage). We had to change the install dates a couple of time due to my schedule and the weather and through it all Chis was cool. He's a personable person, works efficiently and I couldn't be happier with the result and experience. I certainly recommend Advance Doors, I'm sure all the installers are just as awesome as Chris but that's who I'd ask for, based on my experience. read more

When my garage door broke, I decided to put in a request on yelp and the first response was from Advanced Doors from Bakersfield. Chris called me back right away and set up an appointment to come out the next day to fix my garage door. After Chris made sure that my existing garage door worked I decided to have him order new doors. He placed the order for my new garage doors and let me know that he would be the next week to install. He returned one week later and was able to install a new door on both of my garages. We also had Chris put on new garage door openers that he recommended for us from Home Depot. Doors came out great and I am so glad I found Chris and Advance Doors! If you're looking for new garage doors or repair on existing, give Advance Doors a call! Thanks Chris! read more

I discovered early this morning that the cable on my garage door had come off, rendering the garage inoperable. I put out a request on Yelp and within 2 minutes got a call from Chris. He was very courteous and professional, quoted me over the phone a very reasonable price, and said he could be at my house within the hour. He delivered exactly as expected, and identified a few other issues as well, one of which he fixed for free. He completed all the work in about 30 minutes and now my garage is once again functional, but more important, it's the quietest it's ever been. I set up a project to get 2 broken garage door springs replaced at 9pm. I had a few replies within a few minutes. Advance Doors was provided the best rate, a time they could arrive and that I could call them right then even though it was later in the evening. I called the next morning and was quoted $140 to replace the springs (I had my own replacement springs already, just needed installation). The technicians arrived when they said they would and very quickly had my door up and working again. They were professional and friendly. I highly recommend this business. read more

I forgot the guys name, I think it was Chris, but in any case; Advanced Doors came out next day and got my garage door fixed in less than half an hour. Didn't try to swindle me or sell me anything extra that wasnt necessary and was very upfront with what is important to do and what isnt. The price was great, other people were quoting 2-3x the amount and some even said i needed a full replacement which would have been 10x the price. Next day service, quick and quality fix at a great price couldnt ask for more. read more

We contacted advanced doors for a new garage door. We gave Chris an $800 deposit on a door we found through him. We ended up finding a different one at Lowe's so my wife and I bought that instead. Contacted Chris to let him know so he told me that he would put the $800 toward the install when our door was delivered. The man from Lowe's that ended up delivering the door said he would do it for $200 so I had him do it since it was $600 cheaper then Chris 's price. I then contacted Chris to let him know that I needed a refund and he told me that he was out of the country. Called back a few weeks later another excuse, few weeks later another excuse. Now he doesn't return our phone calls or text. He has basically stolen $800 from us. If you scroll through his reviews you will see that I'm not the only one he's done this too. There's no way I would do business with him. He's a thief. Who ever is reading this I hope you take this into consideration. read more
