I've been seeing Dr. Martin at Precision Chiropractic for back issues for several years now. I initially found his office via Yelp, so I thought it would be appropriate to leave a Yelp review. When I first saw Dr. Martin it was because I was having really bad upper back pain due to leaning my head down (computers and other electronic devices are to blame). The initial work Dr. Martin did helped ease the pain and it eventually went away. I still go monthly to get adjustments and make sure I don't regress to where I was before. I've been going to Precision Chiropractic since I was pregnant with my second child. I sincerely believe the chiropractic treatment I received during my pregnancy helped me in the stages of the labor and delivery of my baby. I came back postpartum and have brought my infant in for adjustments as well. I am so impressed by Dr. Martin's knowledge, kindness, and care. He's extremely good at what he does and is so friendly. Dr Martin is the best! Have been to a few chiropractic doctors here and on the west coast, and his method is top notch(I believe it's called gonstead) ! I didn't quite believe in chiro until I met him! I had real results with him, and that's what changed my opinion. He also cares about his patients and their lifestyles and tries to create the perfect balance with my appts and the level of care I need. My back is in so much better shape than it used to be, and he has helped me get my life back. His practice is amazing, and his staff are wonderful at scheduling and rescheduling if you have to. I have had real results that no traditional allopathic doctor could help me with, other than just giving me pain killers. I recently started seeing Dr. Martin to support my pregnancy and natural positioning for my baby as he grows. From what I could see he is one of the only local chiropractors I could find that was certified for prenatal Webster technique which is a huge plus. I've only had a few sessions and wasn't having much pain so can't comment much on the relief yet (I'm sure it'll be more apparent as my pregnancy progresses!) but what I want to comment on here is how supported and safe Dr Martin has made me feel. I firmly believe in chiropractic care, and had read how it can really help support a healthy pregnancy, but I was still feeling anxious about the adjustments and if there could be any possible effects on the baby. I would like to sing the praises of my chiropractor, Dr. David Martin. I was brought up to believe that the Chiropractic was a scam - right down there with snake oil and divining rods. But I learned in my college years in Phoenix that this was not (always) the case. I met a wonderful man out there who could work miracles of pain relief and treatment of various other ills with only a heating pad, a cold pack and his hands - wonderfully skilled and sensitive hands. He had no gimmicky machines or hair-brain theories that made no sense at all. He was the Real Deal - and I learned from him that a great chiropractor is as vital to your health as a great MD or surgeon. But, frankly, I have since run into more scammers than bona-fides DCs. So when I need a chiropractor, I do lots of research before that first visit. And that's how I found Dr. David Martin! He IS the real deal - trained, like my Phoenix miracle-worker, to use his hands for treatments instead of lots of Rube Goldberg devices. Dr. Martin has kept me going through a myriad of recent leg and back problems - including an excruciating experience with sciatica. I ALWAYS come out of his office in much better shape than when I go in. And he always gives me solid and easy-to-follow guidelines to improve my condition between visits. Another important point: Doc Martin knows how to coordinate his treatment with my medical doctor. He knows the limits of the chiropractic and when to advise referring a problem to an MD or to a surgeon. This is a very important point! Not all chiropractors are willing to admit that they can't cure everything. That's not the way Dr. Martin works. He has been a key player on my health-care team - but also a TEAM PLAYER who works well with my other health-care providers. So...if you are looking for a first-class chiropractor in the Triangle area, David Martin is the man to see. Or if you have never believed in the chiropractic, David Martin is the guy who can change your mind about the whole thing. Dr. Martin and his staff have been such a pleasure to work with over the past two months. I originally came to Dr. Martin to address chronic knee pain along with supplementary back and neck pain. After only one month I had marked decrease pain in all three areas, including my hips which is where Dr. Martin determined the knee to pain to be actually originating. Dr. Martin shows me stretches that will supplement the adjustments and always explains exactly what adjustment he is performing and why so I can better understand how my body functions and how it will heal. I pay out of pocket for my chiropractic care and it is definitely worth every dollar spent. Scheduling times are very flexible and I never have to wait to be seen. Dr. Martin and his staff are great! I originally went in with knee pain a couple of years ago. After consultation and some x-rays, we discovered it was stemming from poor alignment in my spine and hips. I see Dr. Martin regularly for maintenance now and can't believe the difference in my x-rays! I have no more knee pain and feel a lot better! I came in to see Dr. Martin for sciatica initially and ended up getting help for that but also got answers to aches and limiting pains that had never been able to be resolved by massage therapists, physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, or other doctors over the years. Dr. Martin was able to help me make structural changes that eliminated my knee pain, significantly reduced headaches, eliminated neck and shoulder tension, eased my sciatica, and made my back more comfortable "doing life stuff".
