Can't comment on the cleaning abilities of this company - we never got that far! Made it clear we were looking for a quick once over maintenance clean. The carpets are over 10 years old and in poor condition. This is a rental property. I have to show carpet cleaning every 6 months but I'm not responsible for what was already here. I'm not expecting them to do 3 rooms and a hallway (I don't even have a carpeted hall) for $34.99, but I don't expect the quote to be TEN TIMES as much. I declined at that price so he "called the office" to see what else he could do. Kept dropping a little at a time, threatening to revoke all warranty for their work and to say that the carpet was covered in all sorts of stains, pet urine, and other things. I apologize for such a long review Yelp, but this has to be said. I requested a deep cleaning on the carpets in my rental from Precision after furniture was removed. I requested the works (pet treatment, deep clean, padding flush, extra chemical wash) because I wanted it to be as clean as possible for the next tenants. I typically use Stanley Steamer every 6 months or so to do a professional steam clean but precision popped up in my feed so I decided to use them. I should have NEVER. The house is LARGE and for the works including carpet flush to remove as much dirt as possible. I paid in excess of $900.00, which was a little more than Stanley Steamer where I usually paid about $750. I am also obsessed with cleaning my carpets, because I have 3 children and dogs and clean it at minimum weekly with my wonderful residential carpet cleaner. When the technician came to the house, he met my oldest daughter to gain entrance. A quote was provided for stretching for the small area that had a fray in a corner. I chose not to do this as I was already spending money and that really wasn't a big deal. The technician was very courteous calling after he completed. I visited the house the next day, as I was told to wait until the carpets were dry and this is where it all began. The smell throughout the house was absolutely atrocious. The carpet appeared clean, but the smell present was knocking me off my feet. I attempted texting and calling, but there was no answer. So I just scheduled another online appointment for their return because something was obviously wrong. The same technician returned, and I walked him through the house and he stated he didn't smell anything. So I must be crazy, right? He offered to clean the area of concern again and so I left him to it. Again, he was very courteous. I waited to visit the next day, THE SMELL WAS EVEN WORSE in my office, which is also an exit. I attempted airing out the house which helped a little but this smell was still there! I then scheduled a 3rd visit and he returned as scheduled. I met and let him in, and he stated he would clean the office again. Mind you- the office was seldom used by anyone other than myself, as that is a place for business. He stated he would clean the office for a 3rd time and the process was the same as before. I arrived again, the next day, and there was still a smell! I had given up with precision. I then took my carpet cleaner- which is amazing, and cleaned my office. Guess, what? The next day- the smell was no longer there in the office! I then decided to clean the living room, and what remained and was removed with my personal carpet cleaner was absolutely unacceptable. There was debri and dog hair and then nasty water in the tank. So I decided to write the business an email with photos of the debri and dirt filled water in the tank. I did request for some resolution or refund in this email. The following morning, I received a phone call from a man who I assumed was the owner. He stated that he spoke with his technician and he said that my entire house had trashed carpet! He then expected me to not be on the defense. In the end of that conversation, prior to me hanging up because I was not going to listen to him bashing my home, he informed me the only way to correct that was to replace the carpet. But that wasn't the issue at all! Is it a conspiracy that the carpet was MORE CLEAN AND FRESH after I used my residential grade carpet cleaner? The answer is NO, folks. I cleaned my carpet and resolved the smell on my own. Precision Carpet failed to do what they were paid to do. Then verbally thrashed my home. What can I say.. who knew Precision Carpet did air duct cleanings?! I had a downstairs unit, ten year tenant move out and remodel, that needed duct cleaning. I found their ad in the mint magazine and a 35% off coupon. The other company didn't do wall vents:ducts, thank god... so I went with Precision. (I explain that experience in a different review) The guys, Dustin and Tyler, came out, gave me a quote and I set a date. They arrived in a timely manner, they were fast and thorough, respectful, and my cleaning came with sanitizing! They use a two hose system with soft brushes (these do not damage your ducts, at all, forget what you heard). They were in and out in 45 minutes. No giant gear, no moving furnishings.. smoothest exchange ever! The house smells fresh and I am confident that I am breathing clean air. I can not recommend Precision Carpet enough. I had this company come out based off of a $59 special offered online. 2 very nice guys showed up to give me an estimate of $589 for scrubbing, deodorant, stain removal, pad flushing and the whole shabang. He stated that it was the WORKS basically! I explained to them that I did not want to pay that much because we are planning on getting new flooring within the next 6 months. But, I just wanted to get the stains & odor out (from our puppy) to suffice for now. The guy says "I completely understand, let me call my manager and see what I can do for you" comes back and says "Good news, my manager said since we're already here and you're getting new floors and don't want to spend the $589 we can apply this coupon for you today." I say "oh wow, that's a big difference" he says "yeah, we don't have any other jobs lined up today so he doesn't want to lose the job" I then repeat to him "so for only $200 total" and he says "yes mam" so.. Im like OK that sounds GREAT and agree! Now, in my mind - (apparently the manager Ryan doesn't agree) but.. if you offer the WORKS for $589 you call your "boss" and come back and say he says we can do it for $200 today. I'm under the impression you're offering the $589 WORKS for $200??? I mean, if that wasn't the case I would think it would be communicated exactly what I'm getting for $200 vs what I was offered at the $589 rate!!! ‍ well, don't be fooled- because that is NOT the case. The guys were here for less then 20 minutes the carpet looks the EXACT same if not worse then it did before. I paid $200 for some water and a vacuum. I took a picture immediately after they left and then waited two hours and took another picture. I texted the number that texted me about the service and said " the carpet looks the same if not worse then before" and got no reply. I waited until today 5 days later, (because the guy said before leaving when I asked why it wasn't scrubbed "wait a few days it will get better") so I do and today I call and speak with someone about the service and the lady was extremely nice and understanding, but stated she would have to discuss with her manager and call me back. Ryan then called me and immediately started about how his paperwork said this and that and my picture I sent looked like I walked all over the carpet and then took a picture, how I got a good job for $200 and blah blah blah before I even said one word to him. So, now you have confirmed you got my text and never even acknowledged it. You have the time y'all were here vs the time the pic was sent. The footprints are from YOUR guys and yet you still haven't even let me speak. He told me there was nothing he could do for me and no "cleaning" would remove those stains even if they scrubbed them?? This company is a scam! Found an ad in the local Mint coupon magazine and called these guys up. The nice guy on the other end of the line quoted me $24.99 to clean one bedroom and closet which was equal to the price on their coupon for 2 rooms. Seemed like a fair deal so I went ahead and scheduled. Also decided to get the sofa cleaned and they had a coupon special for $69.99 for sofa and love seat so he quoted me $50 for just the couch. About 2hrs later I received a follow up call confirming the appt time and address for the following day (today). I'm thinking wow, that's pretty professional and was feeling good about everything. 20 minutes before arrival the worker called and said he had been dispatched to do my job and would be there in 30 minutes. Not a big deal. I texted him the parking spot to park in and wouldn't you know not only does he not park there he straddles 2 other spots a few over. Not one but 2. Really? When he walked thru the door he smelled of strong cigarette odor, not good. He comes in, walks the job off looks at the couch and sits down to write the estimate before getting started. The $24.99 went to $24.99 + $54 for the chemicals. In the coupon it reads "maintenance steam cleaning with pre conditioning and deodorizer and nothing about chemicals being extra let alone $54. He quoted the couch at $110 which was more than double the original quote over the phone. Obviously I told him we weren't going to be doing the couch job. Within 5 minutes he fired up the machines and within 5 more minutes (probably more like 3) he was finished with everything and dragging the hoses back out. By then I knew I was the one that got hosed. We wrote the check and couldn't wait for him to leave. I even dried up the water mess he left in front of the bedroom on my wood floors. Uggh! They were supposed to come out and clean my carpets yesterday. I told the owner at the time of booking the appointment over the phone I had a coupon from that mint magazine. Mint magazine coupon I was quoted to use was $99 out of all options there was. Yesterday March 2nd,2023 someone from the precision carpet company came to my home at 11:30am no courtesy call or anything. They were supposed to come out between 1pm-3pm. Then the young man who cleaned my carpets didn't have gas in the machine he was using and had to leave and come back. At least if you're going to service at a earlier time be prepared instead of rushing. Then the machine turned on about 10 times within 20 minutes. It was already bad enough I thought I was paying $99 come to find out the new price was $269 for a two story home. Six rooms and the stairs were supposed to be cleaned. The owner never mentioned I would be up charged at the time of booking the appointment. The young man tried to rush to clean 3 bedrooms as fast as he could while the machine was "working". Which doesn't work for me you're not going to do a half a** job. The owner didn't try to give any compensation or half price or anything for their screw ups. I used this company several years ago and their sales/carpet cleaner came to my residence. I called them based on a coupon I had gotten from the Mint Magazine. The carpet cleaner verbally provided a deal where if I paid $350 for him to clean my carpets in my house I would then get a free cleaning to be used by the end of the year. When I called to get my free cleaning ( before Christmas) the people who answered the phones talk to me as if I was stupid and accused me of just wanting something for free. They refused to honor what their employee offered. The person on the phone said it would be $25.00 per duct and the 35% coupon would come off that price. When the technician arrived he said the $25.00 per duct price already included the 35% discount. Since I had already taken time to travel to the property to meet them to do the work, I allowed them to do the job. I believe they are very dishonest and would not ever use them again or recommend that anyone else use them. Thought they would be cheaper but do shoddier work than competition so we were going to use them for our move-out cleaning on a rental. We used C&C Cleaners in Saint Johns (veteran owned) for our new home and they gave UP FRONT pricing, with everything included, no upsets, and it was *cheaper* per room. Guy who came was great to work with. Actually quality of cleaning for Precision seems fine. Refused to pay for "extra scrubbing" so some of the wear patterns are still there. DO NOT waste your time and money! I called to have an estimate done on a 1800 sq ft home. The technician was very rude and pushy. He quoted us 1200$ and told us it's because there are pet stains and makeup, but that his super powerful cleaners can definitely get it out. As we questioned the high price he got super defensive and lowered it to $890. We said we had to think about it and he told us he came all the way out here to start working not to just estimate. So we reluctantly said okay but we had to leave for a few hours to a meeting so we left him at the house to work. I wish I had read the other reviews, what started as a $99 quote turned out to be a $300 to clean a sofa, that didn't come clean (only 7 months old and had been cleaned before with wonderful results from another company) the quality was very poor, and the serviceman full of excuses, as to why it didn't come clean, "that they make no guarantee", "we never said we could get the stains out" and on and on, I loved "you should have read your contract" Then why upset me on a deep clean power scrub if it wasn't going to work? Why take my wool Turkish rugs for 2 weeks recently stained by coffee, the entire reason I had cleaned, and return it with still with the coffee stain that you now say you can't get out. My total bill $675, one sofa, and two 5 by 7 area rugs, none of which came out clean. Better off to google how to get the stains out yourself which we then did successfully (dish soap, vinegar and arm water)then to pay these scammers. DOn't be lured by the introductory low price. They told me they guaranteed their work, only to respond they never said they could guaranteed they could get the stains out. This is the worst Carpet Cleaning company in Jacksonville, Florida - Steer clear. They lie and try to cover up their lies with mistruths and other false information. They claimed we had wool carpet and that the only way they could clean the one room and stairs was to dry clean it. Wool carpet has not been made in over 10 years and certainly would not be installed in a home. 99% of carpet is man-made with nylon and polyester etc. I called and complained and the guy answering the phone, Ryan told me he had to go by the technician's paperwork. We had this carpet installed by Home Depot 2 years ago. DO yourself a favor and never use this company and spread the word.... their ad in the money pages is a lie and they will swindle you. I am disputing this $286 bill with my Capital One Credit Card. I will continue to share my negative thoughts on social media and with all my friends and family. I went to Home Depot and Lowes and got proof which I have sent to Capital One. The brand of carpet is Stain Master for Pets. When we first hired Precision Carpet they supposedly sent their 'best guy.' However upon arrival his appearance was less than professional. This was the tip of the iceberg. Upon seeing our area rugs he convinced us to let him clean them as well. When he was all finished he showed me just how much 'dog hair' came up from the area rugs. After closer inspection I found that what Ken had dug up was actually wool fibers from the rugs! Frustrated we called Precision Carpet and asked that Ken return to investigate the problem. Upon his return he proceeded to pull at the fibers with his needle nose pliers and rub the surface of the rug with his hand. In an instant more fibers started to rub off. The fibers on the blue rug were blue and the fibers from the brown rug were, you guessed it, brown. When he didn't have an explanation for what he had done to the rugs, he proceeded to tell us the fibers he had just rubbed off were from our dog, again!!! Last time I checked our dog wasn't BLUE! ...This get better... Being conscious consumers we called Precision Carpet once again to complain about the problem created from the chemicals used in the cleaning process and the apparent ignorance and sloppiness displayed by one of their 'best guys,' Ken. After about a day and a half of calling we finally reached the owner, Jim. Here's the kicker...Instead of making things right and offering a full refund for the ruined carpets, Jim proceeded to berate us on the phone. He made statements like: 'You're just trying to get a free rug," "No I will not come out and look at it," "Am I supposed to just drop everything to help you," "Don't give me that 'What about the customer' I've been in customer service for 20 years' I digress... working with Precision Carpet was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. Besides sucking, not with a vacuum, Precision Carpet also displayed a lack of customer service and compassion for their clients. This crook explains to me there is a $200 fee for chemical and he then was going to charge me for closets. First of all, in order to be a room, a closet is necessary. No where does it say extra for a closet. The total quote was $350. Of course I told him he could leave at that point. They will quote super low prices to get inside your home, then up charge you like crazy once they arrive. They quoted us $79.99 over the phone to clean two chairs and an ottoman, but at the time of service, they wouldn't do it for less than $215. They did NOT get the stains out of our chairs and would NOT refund our money! They FORCE you to sign documents that you are "satisfied with service" PRIOR to performing any services! What everyone is saying is a 100% fact. I also had a coupon and decided to go with it because the price was reasonable for a 1 bedroom apartment. I booked the appt, two gentlemen came out. They looked over the apt & stated additional chemicals would need to be used and he said he would not do my carpets unless they were deep cleaned with said chemicals. At this point, all of my furniture was moved and put away fr my carpets to be cleaned. I ended up paying $225 for a one bedroom apt, which includes the bedroom, living room and small dining area. The coupon is very deceiving. My carpets were clean but it was job you would expect from a carpet cleaning but certainly not worth $225. Be mindful when booking with this company. Precision Carpet came out to our house to clean carpet i was given a price over the phone when tech got here he told me another price so i signed paper work. So i looked around the tech was removing equipment so we asked what was going on tech said that i don't think we will be able to do job so me and my husband looked at each other and we asked why the tech said i don't think we will be able to please you'll we didn't know what just happened. I had a very unfortunate experience with this company. After being quoted $50 for 2 rooms, I was upcharged $200 at the time of service. Let's be mindful that these people notified me an hour before my appointment window that they were running approx 2 hours late and my appointment window will be moved or rescheduled. I opted to shift my timeslot for today...fingers crossed . Long story short, the Tech arrived and took a look at the rooms (average wear on carpet - Carpets professionally cleaned 5 months prior). He then proceeded to read out my quote of $250. No way..not after I've rearranged my whole day because you guys were late!!! I was very upset when I spoke with the owner of the company. He was very rude and unapologetic. Needless to say I did not use their services and I do not recommend them to anyone else based on customer service alone. Luckily, I was able to schedule with another company for Monday with a better price before my family arrives for the Thanksgiving holidays. Zero stars. Bait and switch operation. Technician did a poor job. Carpet is still damp after 3 days despite the fact that I had a box fan and overhead fan going. Now the carpet is beginning to smell moldy. It was sunny the day the carpet was cleaned and partly cloudy the next, but when I called to complain the manager told me it was MY fault because "nobody told me to open the window". In fact they gave no after cleaning instructions at all. He claimed it was 100% humidity outside, complete BS. Avoid like the plague! read more

This BUSINESS is AWFUL, DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING in the MINT MAGAZINE, REFUSAL to REFUND MONEY if NOT SATISFIED, PRESSURE from the Technicians to ADD other services, when I called PRECISION CARPET I thought I was under the Impression that I was calling for an appointment that would give me an estimate so I could make a decision; I found-out that was Incorrect when you called PRECISION CARPET that was a AUTOMATIC COMMITMENT that you were OBLIGATED to PURCHASE regardless to PRICE, technicians say that their boss/supervisor expects a SALE when they come to your home NOT a ESTIMATE and time to think about it would NOT be favorable for them if I didn't PURCHASE(No one wants to feel responsible for the possibility of someone LOSING their JOB or a BAD EVALUATION), when I read the Ad in the Mint Magazine I was under the impression that I would ONLY be PAYING ($34.99 - $50.00(approximately)the quote in the MINT MAGAZINE reads 3 rooms + hallway=$34.99; 5 rooms + hallway=$44.99. I wanted 4 rooms + hallway CLEANED=$400.00+ OMG, WHAT, WHY? A lot of reasons were given of course you have"spots/soiled in areas I told the technician where a lot of these areas were, well according to him it added up to the $400.00+ I immediately responded "I can't afford that amount", I'm a Senior and Retired. The technician asked "what can you pay"? I've NEVER been asked that question by a Business. Anyway I asked about the AD PRICE, that's when I got the response about my BOSS expects etc.(read above), I paid $200.00 only because I had been DISCHARGED from the HOSPITAL and I was in PAIN needed to take Meds and lay down, in fact I stayed in the bed while they were supposedly CLEANING CARPET. The following day I had an opportunity to CHECK the areas that were supposedly CLEANED only to find out it still needed to CLEANED. I called PRECISION CARPET and expressed my concern and of course he had a justification for why PRECISION CARPET was right and I was wrong. Of course there is still information I still need to SHARE, but I've tried to condense as much as I can. If I could have give. PRECISION CARPET Less than "1 Star" I would have. I had Paul here yesterday. He seemed like a nice enough guy. First off my house is very clean. I wanted him to clean the grout in the shower. He didn't do a good job. There are still mold spots on the grout!! Then I have an area rug 8 X 5,which I bought a over 10 years ago. It was expensive and still looks good. Unfortunately my son was over with his small dog and it urinated in a few spots. After Paul finished none of the spots came out. What I'm upset about is it still smells like urine. I am shocked at the estimate that we got today from precision carpeting ...two small rooms yes a couple spots but according to the ad this should've been something like $55 and we were prepared to go up to about $100 but after a couple minutes measuring, we got the estimate...it was over $300. Oh, then I had them look at my sofa which they said, sure, we can do today so with that added on the bill came well over $500 so be very careful. We had moved all our furniture they had nothing to do but come in and shampoo two small rooms so we went to Home Depot, rented a carpet shampooer and cleaning solutions for less than than $75.
