I used this service several years ago for transport of my Korean Jindo, pure white, male, 8 weeks old puppy. Believe me, I am REAL picky when it comes to my babies. Let me share w u that these people r FABLOUS!! If I could, I'd give them 100 stars. Sweet as they can be. One of the owners was the driver. She didnt complain or get rude, disgusted, annoyed ,pissed at me calling just about every half hour. I did not want his feet to touch the ground (8wks old, had first shots but as we all know that does not confir immunity). She had him cradled in her arms bringing him to my door. Do NOT transports cats with this company. My relocation company contracted them to transport our cats from FL to CA. Cats sat in their own urine and feces for a week. They were in horrible condition when they arrived. They were exhausted, dehydrated and traumatized. Clearly this company really just focuses on dogs and doesn't even bother to try to take care of your cats. I had to give them a bath just to help them be comfortable and call a groomer to take care of them - the groomer was so shocked at how the animals were treated that they came to me after hours to fully clean them up. I would have shipped them myself via air if this company was just honest about their complete inability to take care of cats. read more

Upon making a relocation move, I needed someone to transport my beloved coonhound. I had previously contacted a shady character and was hesitant about going thru with pet transport. After reading the reviews on this company I went ahead. I am overjoyed with relief. The driver Dustin is absolutely Wonderful!! He took the time to call me and explain the process, how long it would take, what was needed. I felt as though I had talked to him before. he made me feel so comfortable and was able to relieve my anxiety about transporting my pet. I am encouraging anyone who has doubts like I did before meeting him, to give it a try. He took excellent care of my pet who was nervous also, but Dustin was able to calm him down too. and he sleeps in the van with the animals. an added plus. because of Dustin, my pet made it quickly and safely to his destination. read more

Here is an exact copy of the email I sent them, which details my experience. I am writing today to demand at least a partial refund, and some serious consideration on your part over the reprihensible manner in which the transportation of my puppy was handled. The price I paid to have Yogi transported from Missouri to NYC was not small, but considering we had used your services before, I was comforted that I would have a "...professional driver who is dedicated to giving your pet(s) the same love and care you would give them, throughout their trip." However, this is not the case. Firstly, I was told I would be contacted 24 hours before the pick-up and 24 hours before the drop-off. This did not happen. Instead, I had to send multiple emails regarding when the window was, and was not told until the DAY OF, both times. I later found out both phone numbers Sherry [the driver] had for myself at drop-off and Brett at pick-up were incorrect. I was left hanging trying to set up a cross country move, when the contract promised me otherwise. Although frustrating, this lack of communication and organization was not much of a big deal, but obviously turned out to be an indicator of what was to come. Secondly, Yogi arrived covered in his own urine and feces. So much so that we had to bath him THREE TIMES in order to get him clean. I understand having a puppy in a car for the half the country means he won't arrive spotless, but to have his fur matted with excrement is unforgivable. It's also a sign that he was not walked four times a day (as promised in the contract), or taken out of his "USDA certified, sanitized travel crate," and if he was it was not cleaned. To keep a puppy locked up, on the road for three days straight, without any care or attention, covered in his own waste is vile and abusive. I honestly should report you, I have never felt so disgusted in my life with the handling of a puppy. Especially when I was promised he would be loved and looked after by someone responsible and caring. Brett also sent a folder of Yogi's shot records and paperwork, which I never received, again indicative of poor organizational skills on the part of the driver. Lastly, the driver's behavior was questionable. I was asked to work a double, and since I received no 24-hours before phone call about the drop off window as promised, I was unable to get out of it. Two of my roommates received Yogi for me, and both called me, concerned for the well-being of the dog and told me that "She [the driver] seemed as though she was on drugs." Furthermore, when I asked Brett if he had forgotten to send Yogi's paperwork, he said, "Did you not get the folder I sent with all of his paperwork? His records were in that. If not, I'm not surprised. That lady was a total kook." All in all, I paid a high price for the promised high quality of your service, and to say I am both livid and disappointed is an extreme understatement. I cannot begin to fathom how many other dogs and puppies have been subjected to such dismal conditions as the ones Yogi suffered through. I will not be recommending this service to anyone with ears to hear about the poor quality. This is truly shameful. I await your reply, some sort of explanation, apology and refund. I was promised a written reply within 30 days. When I had still received nothing, I sent an email inquiring why they had, yet again, failed to provide me with promised services. I was met with an attitude by the owner, Jill, who responded that she sent the mail and I just "chose not to get my mail," and that "NO there will NOT be a full refund." I never received it, but this is not Jill's fault as she did send it and provided me the tracking number as proof, sent out two weeks into the 30 day time period. The post office in my area is very notorious for not even attempting to deliver packages. However, why did I not receive the tracking number in an invoice when it was sent out? This is what most professional businesses would do, provide at least some kind of notification or invoice, especially when handling a situation already soured so badly. They refunded me $50 for "puppy grooming." A month too late. The fact that I did not receive even a partial refund of the $650 I paid, considering the appalling condition my puppy was delivered in, is astonishing. This is intermixed with veiled responses to my complaints, for example, "I can tell you, Sherry is not on drugs, Ms Sherry is a country girl without the big city flash and flair." Uh, I spent most of my life in Oklahoma, I can tell you drugs are especially prevalent in the country, and why did two different people, one in Missouri and one in Brooklyn, describe her as seeming that way? But, that's beside the point. To be fair, this could have just been my driver, and not the service as a whole, but this is my horrifying experience, and I was unimpressed by the way customer service handled it. My two cats were just dropped off in NYC from Florida. This company originally took them down. In both deliveries, I received quality service. Both drivers dealt with my one cat who, normally sweet, turns into the Tazmanian Devil when frightened with skill and compassion. They kept me updated, delivered In a day and a half and clearly love animals. Looking inside the van, each animals cage was immaculate with no odor. Amazing considering the number of pets they have to deal with. Kudos to the owners and drivers. You r stuck with the Tazmanian Devil :). Will never use another company. I recently used Precious Pets Transport Services to transport a family pet from California to Alabama. While not warm, the customer service seemed professional. We were told that the trip would take from 4-6 days. Their policies clearly state that extra items cannot be transported with the pet. I provided 7 days worth of food and our dog's leash/collar. On the day of the pick-up, we were assured that we would be given daily updates on the trip's progress. The van seemed small and cramped, but I suppose that's what can be expected. The driver informed us that he would be taking a route from California through Colorado, Minnesota, Milwaukee, New York, New Jersey then down to Alabama. The driver assured us that the trip would safely take 4-6 days. This seemed like a long route to take, but they are the professionals. I trusted their expertise. The first two days went well. The driver contacted the receiving party daily to give updates on the trip. After that, no more contacts without us having to reach out for updates. It ended up taking 8 days for our pet to arrive in Alabama. No reason was given as to why it took so long. No apologies. Luckily, I sent our dog with enough food for 7 days. He didn't eat well during the transport (not unexpected) and arrived in Alabama with 1.5 days worth of food still in the ziplock bags I had prepared. Upon drop-off, the driver refused to leave my pet's health certificate with him. This seemed odd to me. The health certificate is valid for 30 days and belongs to the individual pet(s) it certifies. I waited two days for them to contact me regarding the prolonged travel time or even to say a simple 'thank you for your business'. Nothing. During those two days, I reached out to the USDA, the government agency that regulates interstate transport of live animals. The USDA agent stated in an email that "The health certificate should accompany the animal. This document is generally purchased by the owner, as such you should have a copy or the original. Please contact your pet transport company and request your certificate or a copy." I wrote Precious Pets Transport Service after two days. I expressed my concern that my pet's transport took 125-200% the agreed upon without any explanation provided. Linda apologized for the prolonged travel time and cited weather as the cause for the delay. She also confirmed my suspicion that the route taken was altered from the original route planned when I booked my transport. She stated that the health certificate would not be returned. I wrote back requesting the health certificate and forwarded the email from the USDA assuring that the health certificate should stay with the animal being transported. Jill wrote back this time. Jill was simply unapologetic and blankly refuted the information provided by the USDA agent. She refused to return the original document I purchased and offered to send me a copy. Fine. In recap, they are a business and seem to be motivated by the same that motivates a majority of the businesses these days- MONEY. They changed my pet's route to include more stops and more opportunities to make money at the detriment of my pet's comfort. The trip took 125-200% the time advertised and contractually agreed upon. Their communication skills are lacking. Had they informed me or the receiving party that bad weather was slowing them down, we would have been expecting the prolonged travel time and at least aware of the issue. At no point did I express an interest in a refund. I will not use Precious Pet Transportation Services again nor will I recommend their services. read more

They picked our cat up from the vet, got her to the boarding place in Oklahoma in a timely manner, and she seemed well and this being a cat that is terrified of strangers. I can't say enough about this transport company for pets. Wayne was the fabulous driver for our 160 pound Leonberger who was transported from LA to NY. Wayne spent time getting to know our dog before he left on the cross country journey, and sent us texts and photos daily to keep us at ease. The drop off was easy, and our dog was happy as could be after 7 days in Wayne's van. Wayne treated our dog like one of his own, and had a hard time parting with him at the end. He even gave us framed photos of the national parks they visited along the way! I would highly recommend this transport company for anyone thinking of a cross country move for their pet!! read more

After a sudden death in the family we had to move my sister's 11 yr old dog from Arizona to Chicago and flying was out of the question due to her age and size. Precious Pets transported my step fathers 2 dogs (one large, one small) from Massachusetts to Las Vegas - they communicated very well with us, accommodated a date change without any problems or charges, and took excellent care of Tara and Lucky along the way. Their driver, Dan, was awesome - gave us plenty of notice for pick up time and delivery time. They arrived earlier than expected (with ample notice) and in great condition. The fee was very reasonable for the distance and season (winter). I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing to transport their fur kids across the state or across the country! He had two dogs and another cat on board, but was able to get the cats to their new home a day early -- happy and healthy and none the worse for the trip! I emailed Precious Pets Transport Services with my details and got a quote within 24 hours, but because of a series of mixups on both my part and theirs, I was unable to lock down a pickup date for my four cats from the place where they were being boarded. Being under an extreme time crunch, I opted to go with another transportation service. Co-owner Jill reached out to me and was extremely apologetic about the mixup. She immediately offered to give me a full reimbursement, even after I admitted my own part in the confusion. I received my full refund the very same day. In the future, I wouldn't hesitate to entrust my cats to Precious Pets Transport Services. It just didn't work out this time. read more
