Jack at about 4 yrs ~ note scars. His back is bald

Our boy Jack has crossed the Rainbow Bridge however, after reading all these negative reviews I feel I must share our experience with this breeder. In the winter of 2007 this breeder had litters of Beagles an Boxers in a garage with a heat lamp on them. Puppies are rambunctious and inevitably knocked the lamp over and a horrific fire killed all but three dogs. The three, Jack his sibling and mother, were rushed to the only vet who was prepared for such a devastating event. By the morning the mama and sibling passed. Paula never came back for Jack. Dr. Lavigne of Timber Ridge Animal Hospital in Bonney Lake nursed Jack back to health cleansing his wounds several times a day and applying Silver often. Poor dog had horrible scars that never grew hair. Knowing that I'm a huge supporter of the underdog Dr. Lavigne asked if we'd adopt him. We did and never regretted it. However, at 7 yrs of age he was diagnosed with an enlarged heart which cost us thousands in medical care and unbelievably expensive meds. After several seizures and Jack losing consciousness daily we chose to have him humanly euthanized. It was a very sad day. The heart issue was congenital but the fire....well that's just plain negligent! I was surprised she's still breeding. That would be so devastating for me that I wouldn't be able to breed again.

Ellie

Please whatever you do DONT buy a puppy from here. My beagle we got in October of 2019 had hydrocephalus which is excess fluid around the brain, severe epilepsy and epiglottic retroversion which is a throat defect that causes distressed breathing. Her new litter has the same dad as my girl and I don't want anyone else to get a baby and lose them due to paulas bad breeding. All of Ellie's health issues are genetic and she suffered seizure after seizure and was on medication since she was 3 months. We spent over $13,000 on surgeries, medication, and vet visits. Ellie passed away after receiving corrective surgery for her epiglottic retroversion and I don't want anyone else to have to go through that. Paula obviously doesn't care about the well being of her puppies or the dogs she's breeding considering she's still breeding dogs that produce puppies with major health issues.

Louisa the Beagle! And Miley our Rescue Mix!

We adopted, Louisa, a chocolate tricolor Beagle in April, 2018. She was one of the last 3 of the litter. We had never had a Beagle before and didn't know there were 13" Beagles! We had Coonhounds and a Blood Hound prior, and were hesitant about getting a smaller hound. We couldn't be so happy about our choice! The Beagle is really a miniature hound! Paula was very receptive to our questions we had about the breed, litter and were able to see the mom or dam. The dam looked healthy and happy to see us. Only thing I would say, it would have been nice to see the kennel where she was staying, but we never asked Paula for this. From our conversation, we could tell she was dedicated to healthy breeding and loved her animals. Louisa is now close to 2 years old (17.5#) and she is a healthy beautiful dog. Her disposition is so sweet and loving. She acts like our previous hounds, but in a small package. She's confident and shows zero aggression. She's mischievous, but aren't all Beagles? We couldn't have asked for a better addition to our family. We will contact Precious Companions again when we're ready to add another Beagle into our family. I wish this could be tomorrow!

I recently adopted a puppy beagle from Precious Companions and could not be happier with the puppy I received and the process of adoption. Paula is passionate and knowledgeable about breeding beagles, she was able to answer all our questions along the way. She was great at updating us throughout the 8 weeks before pickup with pictures and information regarding our puppy and the litter. We were able to come see our puppy in Enumclaw when she was about three weeks. I was very impressed with her facility, there is plenty of fenced in area for the dogs to play and it is a wonderful place to care for new puppies. When visiting, we were able to see the mother. I could not have asked for a better adoption experience!

Got a beagle November 2013. She told me she'd be surprised if he grew larger than 25lbs. He's around 20lbs now. We always thought he was a clutz and didn't pay attention. Last summer while hiking he jumped down a ravine right in front of me. He was fine after I was able to retrieve him. I knew there was something wrong so I took him into an animal eye dr. in Olympia. He has glaucoma and cataracts in both eyes. The Dr thinks he had the cataracts long before I brought him in. On top of that she said his eyes are abnormally small. People always told us that his eyes looked cloudy but I didn't think much of it because they always were. He's pretty much blind but seems to do fine. The dr was pretty surprised at how well he is able to get around. The Dr and my vet think the eye problems are from bad breeding. She told me when I got him that his litter was the last one that mother was going to have. I did not contact them about his issue. I figured it was pointless after seeing another review about a boxer from there. My dog was over 1 1/2 years old when I found out he was pretty much blind. He's almost 3 now and the vet gives him another year when I might have to have his eyes extracted because of the glaucoma. I wrote this review because today he ran full speed into the mower in the middle of the driveway and now he has a gash on his muzzle. Besides the blind thing he's a great dog extremely mellow and obedient for a beagle.

Madison and Ariel
J S.

We just met our 3rd beagle baby. She is absolutely adorable. We can't wait to introduce her to her new home. The first time we purchased a fur baby from Paula was over 16 years ago. Madison was a fun loving beagle who lived to be 16 years old. It broke our hearts to say goodbye. Ariel followed her sister To Heaven at the age of 15. After being without our babies for a month, we decided our home was not complete. I called Paula to see if she had a new litter. She did, but she also had s little girl beagle who was 9 months old and had been returned two days prior to my call. She needed a loving home where she could heal from possible abuse. She was the first to join our family. She is the most beautiful little girl but is afraid of everything. It breaks my heart to imagine the life she had before we gother. Today, we took her to help us select a new sister. Paula let us meet her mother too. Our new fur baby will join us at the end of June. We are so excited to be able to share our home and our love with these wonderful pets. Paula breeds some gorgeous dogs and she wants them to be placed in happy homes. I'm so fortunate to have found her so long ago.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. We got a wonderful charcoal lab from Circle B in 2016…read morewhen they were a smaller breeder. We decided to get another lab puppy from them in 2020. We put money down on a litter to pick a female puppy that was born in January 2021. We had first pick of our female puppy out of the two females from the litter. We went to pick her up when she was ready to big enough to leave, the other female puppy had already been picked up. A couple of months later, we discovered by looking at pictures, they had given us the wrong puppy, the puppy we did not pick and did not want because she was too hyper. How does that happen when there are only two females in the litter. We did not say anything for a while, because we knew that we had to keep this puppy now, because the other one was gone. When I finally sent a letter to Cassandra, the owner letting her know how upset we were, I never heard a word, nothing acknowledging the mistake or an apology even. We just took our dog, who was now 4 in January to the vet, and she has to see a specialist because the vet thinks she has retinol neuropathy. When you pay a breeder that much for the dog, they should make sure you get the dog you picked and do sufficient testing to rule out potentially serious genetic defects. I will never buy another dog from Circle B and I certainly will never recommend them to anyone I know. Horrible!

My wife and I had a solid, long discussion not only about the contract aspects, but this breed in general, things to expect, etc. Was a blessing to hear that when Sherman was born the family at Circle B looked at him and exclaimed "Charger", because he looks so much like his grandpa dog. We have felt completed supported and well communicate with throughout the entire process.
