This is one of my favorite places to eat when visiting Parsons, TN. When I saw it while in Parsons visiting clients, I thought, No way...I want more than just a baked potato! I have to tell you, this place is so much more than that! They have amazing sandwiches, a huge assortment of humongous baked potatoes, great desserts, and a wonderful staff. My favorites from their menu include their Ruben sandwich, the brisket spud, their potato salad is amazing, in fact, I often get some extra to take home with me. Pirates Tatters is the most awesome place to eat. I love the fact that they have smaller portions for senior citizens. But I absolutely love their new potato Ragin Cajun seasoning with chicken. It is the bomb. If you like spiced food you will love this dish. I wanted to lick the plate. read more

Very good as a hot potato restaurant. What is missing compared to the other potato restaurants is a seafood potato. Catfish is a delicacy in the area. Weird little place that serves odd baked potatoes. They take the potato thing a bit too far with goofy paintings in the walls and Mr. Potato Heads on the tables. The steak on the steak potato wasn't edible with its lack of flavor and rubbery texture. The veggie tater had an odd combination of overcooked vegetables on it. I guess people in this little town don't have many choices, so this seems like good food. Yikes!! read more

Just passing thru, and so glad to have stopped! We had the Bourbon BBQ Chicken Wrap and the Chicken Bacon Ranch tater. They were both incredibly good and largely portioned. Passing through and saw Prater's Taters, and decided to give it a go. I was not disappointed! It was very clean, staff was friendly and enthusiastic, and the food was great! I was shocked at how huge the potato was, and it was loaded! I asked for a to-go box right away and was able to make two meals out of it.
