We were able to seat ourselves and chose a table in the dining room. The restaurant has a Southern down home vibe and there is a gift shop for travelers. We were greeted quickly and received attentive service throughout the meal. Our drink and food order was taken timely and the food did not take very long to prepare. We all ordered Patty's choice that comes with bacon, sausage or ham, 2 eggs, biscuit or toast & gravy. I got my eggs over easy with the biscuits and gravy. Other people in my party got their eggs scrambled and over hard. I enjoyed my eggs and bacon. The biscuits were made from scratch but were a little hard for my taste. Over all had a good breakfast dining experience on the road. I felt like the breakfast options were a bit limited on the menu but I feel they did achieve their goal of a meal that feels like home.

Cute interior with soft Country back music. Outside was decorated for Christmas. We are traveling from northern WI to FL and day 2 into our trip, I needed some good healthy food in my gut and this is exactly what I got. I had the salmon over rice and a baked sweet potato with butter and cinnamon. It was very delicious and tasted like my home Cooking. I had a lemonade that I couldn't drink but for a couple of sips so asked for a to-go cup. They brought me a nice size to go cup filled with lemonade which was nice, but I felt a little bad leaving the one on the table. My husband had the M&M burger with the works (bacon, cheese, tomato, lettuce and onion) and as his side he picked cheese grits because he knew I love them. They were very cheesy and better than most grits I get in FL. 1/3 of my lunch and 3/4 of the grits got boxed up for our hotel dinner tonight. My husband said his burger was ok, over cooked for him as we are use to our burgers with a little pink to them. But, he said on a scale of 1-10 it was a 6....a little an above average. I loved how they monogrammed their restaurant brand into the top of the hamburger bun. We found this place off of Yelp as we were traveling through and just happened to pick Lexington TN as a place to stop for lunch. We are very happy with our choice and would stop back here in our travels.

Let's run through this. This is our third visit this year, and it doesn't seem to get any better…read more The waitress took our drink order, and the drinks came right out. The problem was it was the last time anyone at the table was asked if they wanted another drink or even a glass of water. Next the appetizers came out. The spinach artichoke dip was pretty good, but there was an industrial sized order of chips and a thimble of dip. The crab claws were pretty good. The salads were mixed. One had huge pieces of lettuce that were mainly stems. Also very little dressing. The entrees were an entirely different subject. The crab cakes to put it mildly sucked. The fried shrimp were as hard as bricks. I got the Riverside trio which has a lobster tail, 1 cluster of crab legs, and 8 small boiled shrimp. The lobster tail was cooked so long that it fused to the shell. It was horrible. The crab legs were OK, and the shrimp had little flavor. The highlight was the portion cup of white beans. There might have been 2 spoonfuls in the cup. The slaw was just bad, so I'm glad there wasn't much of it. The waitress never asked if we wanted more drinks, dessert, or after dinner drinks. They had a Dolly Parton thing starting up at 7, and it was like we were being run out. Did I mention we had just spent $450 , and weren't in a hurry to leave! I could have picked a better place to spend my birthday!

Mermaid Marina is on the Tennessee River close to Decaturville and Perryville Tennessee. I've…read morepulled in here quite a few times in our power cruiser when we're not on the sailboat. The most interesting visit was on a VERY hot day in August we were just looking for a break and maybe a cold brew but as we were entering the cove we saw something odd. There were folks walking out with armloads of stuff in quite a hurry. Apparently, the big overhead power lines had melted, wait what?! Did I mention that is was VERY hot? They were giving away ice, ice cream and everything that would obviously go bad in a hurry, oh yeah it was VERY hot LOL On to the review ... There's access for small and large boats, as big as freighters, and there's lots of dock space to tie up your boat as well as transient spots should you want to stay a while. If you are launching from here or just coming to the restaurant/bar they have a large parking lot and area for launched vehicles & trailers. they have fuel services (both diesel and gas), limited boat repair, permanent slips for all size boats from fishing boats to 40' party boats, a transient dock, a retail store with snacks, supplies, swimming and fishing gear, and more. There are separate reviews for Mermaid Marina and the restaurant but it's all together in the same building and while you can come here by land, and a lot of people do, you always know that you are on the river. They celebrate everything here from Cinco de mayo to Madris Gras and Superbowl. They never miss a chance to have fun whether it a Bachelorette party or 4th of July fireworks launched from a barge it's always something. They also have cabins for rent by the day, I'm not familiar with them but they're on the property and I have talked to a couple who were spending the weekend on the Redneck Riviera and seemed to be having a good time. Bottom line: The air conditioning is good and cold and so is the beer. The food is pretty good, especially the burgers and the people are very friendly and helpful. It's not a bad place to take a break, whether a storm or just recharge your batteries. If you are just cruising the area or if you're coming up from Mobile Bay this big building and all the docks are tightly tucked away in a cove and behind some small hills so look for the big sign or be safe and punch on the coordinates. See ya' in the river!! [ 35° 33' 24.13'', -88° 0' 24.11'' ]
