CLOSED SINCE 2015…read more Great little bar just 1.5 miles from exit 133, south of I-40, tucked in the woods. Super folks running the joint. Your standard pub food. Daily Drink Specials and HH from open to 6pm. Presently only serving beers and the malt beverages (like Mike's + Twisted Teas), hopefully a full bar by summer of 2014. Karaoke on the Weekends, Pool Tournament on Thursdays, Darts, Dance-floor, Pinball and Jukebox. Outside seating too. Soon to be opened (and attached to the bar) is their convenience store, deli and campground. Locals having a good'ole time who really make newcomers feel welcome. As like any bar around these parts, smoking is permitted inside, so that can be thick at times. Still worth a great night out! (* Ed Note, the star system has be utilized to reflect the local area and compared to what is available in these parts).

Possibly the best wings we've ever had! We were told by people from Buffalo that this place had the…read morebest wings outside of their hometown. They were not wrong. We ordered what I would call original Buffalo style wings. The crunch of the skin stayed crispy even after the wings were sauced (you have to get bone-in). Those little beauties stayed crunchy until the last bite. My husband and I also shared a double cheeseburger with provolone and bacon with sidewinder fries. The burger was bursting with flavor and the fries were like bent steak fries; crispy on the outside but fluffy inside. As far as the looks of there place...don't let it scare you off. It looks like a bar. There are pool tables upon entry and a stage. Go early if you want to miss the music. I promise if you stop in and eat the food you won't care about anything else. It is super clean and the people inside are as friendly as they come. So blown away and pleasantly surprised by our experience. We are working in the area and will definitely be back.

Mermaid Marina is on the Tennessee River close to Decaturville and Perryville Tennessee. I've…read morepulled in here quite a few times in our power cruiser when we're not on the sailboat. The most interesting visit was on a VERY hot day in August we were just looking for a break and maybe a cold brew but as we were entering the cove we saw something odd. There were folks walking out with armloads of stuff in quite a hurry. Apparently, the big overhead power lines had melted, wait what?! Did I mention that is was VERY hot? They were giving away ice, ice cream and everything that would obviously go bad in a hurry, oh yeah it was VERY hot LOL On to the review ... There's access for small and large boats, as big as freighters, and there's lots of dock space to tie up your boat as well as transient spots should you want to stay a while. If you are launching from here or just coming to the restaurant/bar they have a large parking lot and area for launched vehicles & trailers. they have fuel services (both diesel and gas), limited boat repair, permanent slips for all size boats from fishing boats to 40' party boats, a transient dock, a retail store with snacks, supplies, swimming and fishing gear, and more. There are separate reviews for Mermaid Marina and the restaurant but it's all together in the same building and while you can come here by land, and a lot of people do, you always know that you are on the river. They celebrate everything here from Cinco de mayo to Madris Gras and Superbowl. They never miss a chance to have fun whether it a Bachelorette party or 4th of July fireworks launched from a barge it's always something. They also have cabins for rent by the day, I'm not familiar with them but they're on the property and I have talked to a couple who were spending the weekend on the Redneck Riviera and seemed to be having a good time. Bottom line: The air conditioning is good and cold and so is the beer. The food is pretty good, especially the burgers and the people are very friendly and helpful. It's not a bad place to take a break, whether a storm or just recharge your batteries. If you are just cruising the area or if you're coming up from Mobile Bay this big building and all the docks are tightly tucked away in a cove and behind some small hills so look for the big sign or be safe and punch on the coordinates. See ya' in the river!! [ 35° 33' 24.13'', -88° 0' 24.11'' ]
