I highly recommend Moksha Living. I've worked with multiple providers there in various capacities…read moreand they all have been incredibly wonderful, accommodating, and - best of all - helpful in my mental health and growth journey. The search for a good therapist who you jive with, takes insurance, and is also accepting new clients can be really demoralizing. It definitely was for me. I felt so fortunate when I found Huma Sikandar Fatakia, and I can't say enough good things about her. She is so understanding and has an almost uncanny ability to remember details I haven't spoken about in a while, and connect the dots to help me recognize patterns and opportunities in my life. She has also helped me incorporate some mindful practices in my life when things feel heavy... which I never thought I'd be able to do. When Huma went on maternity leave, there was a seamless transition to Alyssa McCall for that duration. I again felt really fortunate that they didn't leave me hanging and matched me with another provider. Alyssa was also great! It is hard switching from one provider to another, but Alyssa offered new perspective and some different tools that I've held onto since going back to Huma. Finally, Michell Stanley was able to accommodate my partner and me very quickly for sessions, and that has been a huge help. She is very good at what she does and very understanding. As the owner of the business, she's also easy to work with for any administrative needs. I feel so extremely lucky to have found Moksha Living when I did, before the pandemic, and to be able to continue my work with them in a safe way. During COVID-19, all sessions are remote via a secure platform.

I cannot recommend Michell and Moksha Living enough. My work with Michell was truly life-changing…read more Michell's approach is a unique combination of coaching and therapy, which helped me feel heard and understood, while also holding me accountable and giving me tools to work through a particularly challenging life event. Michell demonstrated the perfect amount of care and accountability, and balanced intellectual and emotional introspection. I truly feel like a better person after my work with her. I've tried a not-insignificant number of therapists in my life and Michell is above and beyond the best therapist I have ever worked with.

I started attending here this year and I finally feel like I've found my home. After experimenting around the city with various forms of meditation, it was this place that I really seem to connect to. They offer so many beginner classes that are free to all such as the Thursday evening meditation and the Wednesday Heart of Recovery. If you have something donate, you may, and if you become a member there appears to be so much available at such a low cost because access to healing should not break the bank. I am so grateful for this beautiful center.

This center and the phenomenal teachers have truly changed my life for the better in just a matter…read moreof months. Before finding this meditation I was a mess of stress and anxiety...even over the smallest things in life! This meditation has made my life a million times simpler and changed my perspective on life as a whole. I am so much more resilient in situations that used to get me down, able to express myself better, it has rid me of constant nightmares allowing for a more restful sleep and more productive days, improved sooo many of my relationships and has truly increased my energy & even my skin and face is brighter and smoother since starting. I always joke and tell people that meditation is my Botox ;) I am also a competitive figure competitor which requires extremely regimented meals/eating plan alongside a huge allotment of time to the gym daily for a solid 4 months out of the year (on top of my full time job)! My body response to my training and diet this year has been unbelievable smooth in terms of fat loss and I attribute it entirely to meditating and ridding myself of stress which has in turn aided in my weight loss. So amazing! I realized no matter how much I exercise to take care of my body, I must also take care of my mind. I try to come for an hour a day (more when I can) and travel frequently with a wacky work schedule; anyone can fit this into their schedule! I leave feeling so refreshed every time. The teachers here are wonderful and genuinely want you to succeed. I have only completed 2 levels of 7 and am so excited to see what other changes will occur as I progress. I could go on for hours about the wonders that this center has done for me! I now realize what a necessity this is in life :)

What a peaceful place to come before or after work. This place speaks women empowerment to me…read more There is a lot of zen and positive vibes in the room. You can have tea, water, or san pellegrino before diving into a stress relief meditation, emotion based training, or breathing session. Caitlin, Kirsten, and Emily are all really kind and wonderful teachers. They explain different stones with healing properties and really help you destress in the 30 minute or 1 hour session. You can come wearing your work clothes or anything you find comfortable and either lie down or sit up in a position that makes you feel comfortable during meditation and that's what I appreciate about Glow Club. I ended up purchasing the 10 credit pack after a free session and have had a solid experience. I look forward to trying some yoga in the fall when the class is available. The evening glow is probably my favorite class at the moment. The breathing class was intense for me and I would like to try it again to really get into it. I found myself forgetting to go with the rhythm during active breathing and almost falling asleep. I live and work in Silver Spring so I can only attend evening classes but these classes are great as a "cool down" post work out as well. They also help me focus on the present so hopefully they can have a similar affect on you.

As I walked up the stairs & entered the facility, I was welcomed by the aroma of what I believe to be Palo Santo. The place was gorgeous, with an amazing organic crystal selection, all fairly priced. As we entered the meditation room, lit red, there were multiple options for mediation seating. The soft yoga "blocks" offered were my fave, as it takes pressure off my spine. My instructor was Kirsten, she was very polite and had a great energy. Her guided mediation was focused & her voice was very calm & encouraging. I could've sat there for hours! After the session ended I talked to the owner who was very polite & enthusiastic to explain the services offered. I was excited to see that she offers quick pre-workday sessions. I definitely recommend this place!
