This place is absolutely amazing!!!! I went to Hailey's class and through her guided meditation I can actually say that I found a place of stillness, peace and gratitude. It was the most I have ever gotten from any meditation class. It set the tone for my entire day!!! The location is great and the space is decorated beautifully. Way to go Glow Club!!!! :)

The Glow Club had such a calming and beautiful space filled with the scent of incense in the air! I don't practice meditation and normally not actively seeking it, but have heard many friends of various backgrounds talk about it and enjoying it. Plus, I've heard many great things about the Glow Club and it did not disappoint. From removing your shoes and having a locker to place them in, the scent of incense not being overpowering, the abundance of plants around the space, and the inviting and warm wall colors and exposed brick, you will feel welcomed and a sense of ease when entering. The meditation room is very well designed from the wall slats, room divider, and lighting colors to change the mood of the room. It's lowly lit in order for you to relax and has a variety of cushions, blankets, pillows, and back-supported "seats" to get you comfortable to get in the zone. The temperature is comfortable and the constant spa-like music in the background, along with the instructor's calming meditation prompts had me feeling so relaxed, I almost fell asleep twice! I don't consider that a bad thing! Looking forward to coming back and so glad Caitlin, the owner, created this space in this bustling city and making this a very easy and cool experience.

I used their online form to reach out to them to redeem my first free class and they have not gotten back to me, and there's no phone number. How can I reach them?

I'm so grateful that my wife and I learned TM with Dave and Kathy at the DC center! I had a number…read moreof hesitations and concerns about learning TM, but we eventually decided to proceed with the course despite those concerns. I'm incredibly glad that we did! Daily practice of TM has greatly improved my degree of focus and fulfillment during the work day. It's not a religion or a philosophy, but it has become as essential to my daily wellness as taking a shower. Attending a free, no-pressure intro talk was a great way for us to learn what it's all about, and to learn how it significantly differs from other forms of meditation. They do those intro talks weekly. The technique is very simple and it's effect is powerful. Even as I hope the foundation can find a model for the course to cost less and reach more people, with hindsight, I'd have paid more than I did to learn it. It's been that impactful for my family. The value is strong given the lifetime access to TM teachers internationally, group meditations, and interactions with other meditators. I'd also recommend reading the book "Strength In Stillness" before deciding either way. If you take the dive, commit to it and stick with it! It worked for us.

I took the Mindful Enneagram course with Rob Creekmore and I highly recommend it. I've been…read morestudying the Enneagram through the Diamond Approach for 15 years and Rob added another depth of knowledge and understanding to what I already knew. He has great versatility in his ability to understand the nuances of each type, how each type interacts with their core fixation and how each type might be mistaken for another. He taught each of the enneatypes with respect to the 3 foundations of mindfulness - body, heart and mind - and how each of those mindfulness practices could be a source of support for us as we learn to loosen up our attachment to the egoic aspects of our enneatype. His teaching style is relaxed and relational and he never seemed rushed with any of our questions or observations but rather would take the time to explore them. I recommend keeping an eye out for the next time he offers the course.

For people who are interested in spiritual and personal growth from a Western Buddhist psychology…read moreperspective, I highly recommend this organization. It is founded and led by highly trained and compassionate people who, in my experience, encourage an individualized approach and welcome honest feedback. One trainer I especially appreciate is Stan Eisenstein. I have taken a number of courses from him and for over 2 years have attended a daily weekday Telesangha that I find extremely helpful. The latest course with him and co-leader Ruth Zanoni, who was also excellent, was a 17 week course on living with chronic pain and chronic illness using a Western Buddhist psychology framework and an experiential methodology with easily accessible homework. It is so helpful that I encourage all who live with chronic pain and/or illness to consider the course "Inviting Chronic Pain and Illness to Tea". My perspective comes from a 40 year career as a licensed master-level clinical social worker in private practice who has worked psychodynamically in her own practice and her own personal psychotherapy.

Rating corporate gyms in the DMV area solely off the one thing that matters to me: temperature. I…read morejust moved here about a year ago, and the one thing I've noticed is that no gyms in this area are cooled properly. Yes--cooled. The temperature should be from 60-65, and anyone getting a good sweat and workout in would understand why that's ideal. Here, I was literally dripping sweat after a couple of sets on the leg press. No cardio before. Ridiculous. Oh, and the towels to dry off all the sweat? They were full size. That's all they had. No regular towels for the hot gym that causes you to drip sweat. I've lived in Texas, California, and Arizona--all of which were just as if not more hot than the DMV, with sufficiently cooled gyms. All I keep getting from gyms around here when I ask are excuses. I'm tired of it. It's unacceptable for a large corporate gym. If anyone knows of a COLD gym to lift at please, let me know.

If I could leave 0 stars I would…read more I joined as part of their pre-opening discount. However my job changed and I am now traveling 4-5 days a week. I called the club and asked to cancel, they referred me to their Gm who confirmed via email that my membership was cancelled (with 30 days notice which was fine with me). Life is good right? Then the drama starts... This email was on 3/11/25 so any reasonable person would thing it was cancelled 4/11/25. Instead they hit my Amex on 4/25/25 for the nexts months membership. I email the GM multiple times with no response (again I'm now traveling constantly so coming in person is not an option). Finally at my wits end I dispute with Amex. Amex approves the dispute with my proof in writing (and blocks all further charges from them). Then not only did they ghost me. Their 3P harasses me for payment on a membership I have clearly cancelled (in writing). And threatens me with collections. When I forwarded them the written confirmation of cancellation they stated that it wasn't sufficient and not in the clubs policy - I have to pay $450+ despite having written documentation my cancellation. WHAT?! So hear me out - an employee, at the club. With a club email said my membership was cancelled. Why am I now being threatened with collections for $450+ because of this and they refuse a Golds gym email as proof of cancellation! No one will call me back from the gym, and their 3P is abysmal. This is the horror story you hear about gym memberships. People screw up, but honor the screw up - especially when it's in writing. Spend the $ and go to equinox - this gym and their admin function is trash
