I posted the following review on October 1, 2018 - it's very odd that it is no longer on this site for a review. Decided I would repost so as to help anyone looking into using this company. October 1, 2018 I am writing to this to warn everyone from using this company and to share our personal experience. They do not stand by their architectural drawings, they do not meet promised deadlines, and they provide very, very poor quality plants; nothing closely representing the ones they state they will provide. This is our personal experience with this company. We were billed $5800.00 for what was to be a beautifully landscaped area by our outside patio, as well as providing some improvement in our landscaped front beds. None of which happened. We first had Peter visit our home on August 3 to explain what we wanted and expected; it then took 2 weeks to get a drawing of what Peter was going to have planted and what the site would look like, including pictures of the plants. He was given our deadline of September 1 and promised the job would be completed a couple days prior to that date. As September 1 got closer, I had to continuously call Peter and ask when they would be starting this job and how long he projected it would take to complete. He continuously stated he would have to check with production - with a call after call to him and only 2 days left prior to the promised completion date, Peter then told me that he never said it would be done on any specified dates! With that, I finally was able to get a call through to Steve, the GM of this company. He was also no help - the 3 day job (as I was told it was to be) was completed in 1 1/2 days - but looked like they had gone and dug up plantings from along side the road and brought them to our house and planted them! It was and still is a very unpleasant sight to look at! As of October 1, there has still been no action from them to improve and actually come through with what was agreed upon - the poor quality of plants have basically all died and the only thing Steve is willing to do is give us a $250.00 credit? So they basically have billed us $5,550.00 for a few tiny bushes, mulch, and some black dirt! We asked Steve several times to have the owner of this company, Eric, contact us. Finally, September 29, we received a call from the owner, Eric. He stated he hasn't even been to our property to see what the issue is and was trusting that Peter and Steve were making it all right. This is obviously a very poorly run company, with an incredible lack of communication within its organization. Worse yet, is their lack of accountability, communication, performance, quality and honesty to the customer! I have only posted a few of the pictures I have many more - as well I have videos. Hopefully, by providing this review, no one else will have to go through this experience. There are plenty of landscaping companies, my advice, due to our personal experience, is to choose someone else. October 8 - Update* After this posting, we received an email, dated October 1, from the owner, Eric, which stated they are willing to replace the perennials that are all dead (my thought - now we are entering freezing temps at night). Also, when we met with Peter we were explicit that we wanted mature plantings immediately, not ones that would mature in 3-4 years. We stated that numerous times. He stated they did have mature plantings on site and he could provide those to us - never got those. Now they come back stating that "each season for the next 2-4 years perennials will improve..." This is exactly what we didn't want -- and Peter was told that, as well as Steve. Peter stated that there was a lack of water - not correct, as we have an in-ground sprinkler system that we had the heads directed exactly (by the in-ground sprinkler company) as they should be on the landscaped beds - shrubs etc. to provide the needed water for the new plantings. Sadly, this should have been resolved within days from September 1, when we expressed, that day, our unhappiness and dissatisfaction of the job that was performed, so that we could have possibly had some type of resolution. It took call after call and a posting to Yelp before Eric and Peter put any type of suggested resolution on paper to us. It's unfortunate that the owner didn't get involved earlier - this has been ongoing since August 3, 2018 and it's now October 8, 2018 - we are totally dissatisfied. Installation was poor, still haven't resolved the problem, took the money and ran with zero follow up. Had to hire someone else to fix 1/3 of the irrigation system. read more

Denise did a GREAT design for our backyard. She gave us a drawing and explained each plant. Nick arrived on schedule and spent three days removing stuff and planting a tree and a bunch of small to medium bushes. It looks GREAT! Very happy. read more

We built a brand new house with a huge yard in 2008. We had them install 10 trees. Within a few months 7 of those trees died. Come to find out they the crew, while hanging out on our back patio, they neglected to take the burlap bags off the roots, so they died. The owner told us it was our fault the trees died and refused to replace.the trees unless we paid for it. The only compensation we were able to negotiate was $900 in sod. I also confirmed our invoice was for the location in Champaign, IL not Bloomington, IL. UPDATE: Since this post I have been contacted by this company multiple times in an attempt to find out what happened. It seems that management has changed from when I have dealt with them. My post is based on my experience in 2008. Since 2008 I have not had any dealings with this company. read more

Called today to set up an appointment to get a bid on a landscaping project; however, I was informed that it would be $150-$200 for the quote due to design time. No thanks. All I need is a few bushes and a tree and I already know where I want them. read more

I was very disappointed with this company. The quality of the work was mediocre but not terrible; however, they took a month to get around to the job after I signed the job order, and only then after repeated emails and calls. When the job was completed, I did not receive any phone call or email with an update; rather, I just got an invoice out of the blue with no confirmation of the work. I would not have written a bad review until today, when I received emails and a rude phone call from their accounts receivable person stating that they had sent the invoice three times now and I still haven't paid. It's been two weeks, and they have sent the invoice three time and now a voicemail (for the record, the charge a large fee to pay by credit card, so I mailed the check). So, I guess if you want a so-so job that takes a long time to get started and then get rudely hounded because they expect immediate payment, go ahead and use this company. read more

I called them a week and a half ago and asked them for a estimate. The man said he would be out the next day. He never came and I never heard from him. I called and lady answering the phone said he was on vacation. Who goes on vacation in that line of work as soon as their season is starting. read more

I had a sprinkler system installed 5 years ago and it's still working flawlessly. They did a great job with design and it really does provide 100 percent coverage of my garden beds and lawn, without any waste of water. I thought the price was extremely reasonable considering the work involved. They shut the system down every year and turn it on every year and do a great job and don't charge much for the service. I enjoyed them so much I had them do backyard landscaping for me and they knocked it out of the park. My neighbors were so impressed they used them as well. Great local Champaign company. They planted a new lawn for us using lumpy wet soil. The result is an uneven lawn with huge lumps of mud on top of the grass. Where the new grass joins the old grass there is very noticeable border of lumpy earth with no grass on it. Also, in the summer they repeatedly cut the lawn when it was wet using a riding mower. This left grassless tracks in the lawn. read more

Do not be fooled: The landscape architect was professional. The site supervisor was not. The crew they employed to perform the landscaping were not in any way shape or form skilled in horticulture. They also do not have a clue about landscaping and maintaining integrity of property foundation. You don't know this until you hire them and by then, it is too late. The site supervisor has no knowledge of the amount of work his crew does and does not do, much less their skill level. Created more work for me than they accomplished. Since the work the crew did was so un-professional, I refuse to call them back and have them rework it. Better to do it myself. read more
