It has some ramps so parts of it are handicap accessible. There are not a lot of swings but one of them is handicapped accessible but not a wheelchair swing. Almost every time I come to this park I see homeless people. Only once was there an altercation. But it's enough to make you not want to come in the early morning unless you have a buddy. The bathroom and picnic facility are usually in decent condition.

The paved walking paths twist and turn through the woods, making it feel like you're out on a little adventure, even though you're right in the heart of Edmond. What really stood out was how much there is for families. I watched kids racing from one playground to the next, each one built with different age groups in mind. There's even soft turf under the toddler areas--nice touch. Parents lounged at shaded benches while little ones climbed and slid their hearts out.

Description: The OU Duck Pond inside Brandt Park runs the length of the park to the north and south on the western side. The park has numerous trees and a large grassy area, mostly on the eastern side. It's extremely peaceful and tranquil. There are a few benches close to the pond and a stone walking bridge across the pond. The pond has moss over a portion of it, making it look like an English countryside. The main attraction is, of course, the ducks and the pond. The ducks are sharing it with the geese, who at times can get out of hand; as one was running after two of it's own when they came onto land into his space. History: The Park was named after the sixth President of OU, Joseph August Brandt, who was the only alumnus to serve as President. It's a bring your kids to swim in the pool and climb around the playground kind of place. It's a 18-hole disc golf kind of place. It's not a 5-star park. You'll find car tires and concrete in the low flowing creek. You might even catch a draft of El Tapatio's dumpster along the paved trail. But still, the pool is clean, big, and full of fun options, the trail bends along the creek and has little wandering trails that lead off, and that playground is pretty sweet (I'd be pretty happy with that as a kid...or even now). Hunting areas were not assigned and it was total unsafe chaos with hunters wandering around aimlessly with muzzle louder rifles! Each area I hunted was like that. No check in or orientation at all just chaos. I do not recommend this site to other potential draw hunters!

This park is quaint and has a playground area with goal posts and a tennis court. There are also benches to sit and watch your kids or to enjoy the peace. While it wasn't what I was looking for, I did use the area to walk around and reached over 1.5 miles from walking the outside area of the park. The lights didn't come on while the sun was going down so they may not work. Be cognizant of that if you plan to walk toward the evening.
