After hashing out the details, Cayden came out to do the carpet cleaning and pet treatment. He was hands down the most polite, kind service provider I have ever had in my home. My dog even bothered him when my kids let him back in the house while my back was turned and he didn't mind one bit, he was just friendly and nice to my pup. He really listened to me when I explained what was getting treated and what I wanted. Once the job was done, he cleaned up and gave my husband clear instructions for the drying period, and was off! After a few days I noticed the pet smell was still pretty strong, so I reached out to Dan again. He told me it can take a few treatments depending on how heavily the carpet was soiled, and he wound up setting me up with two more appointments for the pet treatment - at no additional cost! It's fantastic, I really feel like Island ChemDry has taken care of us and our carpet. These people are the true definition of the old "Bait and Switch" scam! Amy came out the first part…read moreof April and led me to believe this was her business. I explained in extensive detail what I wanted done exactly and she quoted me $105 for 3 hours of work. (They charge $35 an hour they lied and said) When I asked her if that would be long enough she said, yes, and explained that she did this every day and was fast. When she came back to clean she brought a total stranger with her. This was after telling me that she would be the one cleaning my home. They were in my home exactly 2 hours. I was their last cleaning that day and while here they both texted and talked on their cell phones telling whom ever that they were hurrying. Two things that they told me as they were running for the door...one was that they did not use my wood cleaner, they dry dusted. The other thing was I could pay for services to someone named, Andy, after he or she " invoiced me". I am disabled and was unable to check all of their work. My son checked it for me later that night and they had missed about 50% of what I wanted cleaned. I found dust caked on items, furniture etc. I called the number the next day and spoke with Andy. Andy seemed sympathetic and told me that this would be corrected. That was on April 14. I never heard another word. I was sick and after I got better I contacted Andy who told me that if I wanted them to correct anything, I would have to pay no less than $70 for it, and now wants $140 instead of the $105 that I was quoted. When I Merry about this Andy se text saying that they would not clean for me again and now wants $160 plus $30 a day late fees or they will take me to small claims court and ask for court fees too, even though we had no agreements of the sort. These people target people like me and then try and bully them. They have no clue how to clean but try and bully you out of Merry Maid prices! Since the above review posted. Andy and others from North and South Island Cleaning in Oak Harbor has harassed me by phone, come to my home, threatened me and have others doing it too.
