I could not ever imagine that a process of getting a mortgage can be so enjoyable. We were buying our first home, had tons of questions and concerns and were overall overthinking it and freaking out. I have heard a lot about mortgage ordeals from many of my friends and have read thousands of horror stories online, so I have imagined mortgage lenders as somebody who document and torture you to death. In case with PHS, this has turned out to be the opposite of what I expected and the best part of our purchase transaction. Gil and Christina were above and beyond all expectations, supporting us every step of the way, returning our calls in minutes, even after-hours, patiently explaining all the details of the process, and calming us down. We were given even a better rate than they originally promised and approved for a loan in just two weeks! In our case, this was crucial because the seller insisted on a short mortgage contingency in the contract and we had to move very fast to get the house. All bankers and brokers we spoke to previously told us that those terms were quite unrealistic. Any minor delay with a lender would simply throw us out of the contract. This made us very hesitant about going into contract at all, but Gil promised that he will be able to get us a loan on time, and we closed even earlier than we expected.Therefore, if not Gil and PHS, we would have never gotten the house we loved and truly wanted. Even our attorney, who has a couple of closings a week, noted that it was the fastest and the most painless loan process he saw in quite a while. I had a tremendous experience with Gil and his team. The process went very well from start to finish. I called in originally after reading all the positive feedback on the yelp reviews and when I started talking to Gil I knew at that point these were the people I wanted to do business with. Gil explained everything to me upfront gave me a rough idea as to how long the process would take and what documents I needed in order to get the process completed and communicated with me throughout the entire process.
