Was looking for a new place to get a Burger and sides and found Powerhouse Burger on Yelp and Facebook. First of all it's a neat little place to eat with great folks running it. Had a nice conversation with the owner and his family. Now on to the good stuff. Ordered Bacon Cheeseburger with Onion Strings and all I can say is wow, they were as good as I was dreaming of. Thick beef patty with all the fixins' and the Onion Strings were scrumptious. My wife had the Mushroom Monster and "she ate the whole thing." Oh my! Just saying "Powerhouse Burgers" out loud makes me hungry! We drive 35 minutes to stop in for dinner. It's a family friendly place. Homemade buns that literally melt in your mouth. Homemade, fresh-cooked and piping hot fries. Specially concocted, unique sauce, again "homemade". Put it together with an old-fashioned, huge burger patty cooked while you wait, and wallah! Great food . I ordered a bbq burger took it home and it was a jalapeño burger. I suggest you check before leaving. My mistake in that case . I would appreciate it if there were more cooperation with the barber next door with a chronic brain tumor who is trying to keep a few parking spaces in front of his business open. I have been to Powerhouse Burger twice now within about a month. Both times it was really awesome, good food, great customer service and friendly owners. The burgers remind me of smash burger with the nice charred crust on both sides of the patty. Easy to customize the way you want and fries are served super hot the way I like them. Give them a try, not much parking so you might have to wait to get into a spot. But it's well worth your time! read more

We used to drive to Denton or Tioga for a good burger. There is no need to do that anymore now that PB has blessed this little town. Everything is delicious but you absolutely must order the onion straws and the magical sauce. New to the square in Pilot Point Tx, I thought I'd give Power House burger a shot. We all know Magnolia stations has since shut down and how highly I regarded there eating there. love my food to come from places that look unexpected for lake of a better term. For some reason they simply have better tasting food in my opinion. I'm mean Magnolia station was a run down gas station turned restaurant and the food was properly (not probably) was the best in town I would think just about in one Would agree. Start out the people are friendly the food was made to order and comes out to you fairly quick I had trouble making up my mind, got help, and was out food in hand in 15 min. The best part of visiting is what you get for the cost and the burgers OMG has to be the best in town. again this is my first visit I got the Mushroom Monster and it's not short of its name in any aspect And taste great. Seriously. The fries are fries with seasoning so nothing to special certainly not magnolia stations but I'm going go hand it to them the burger has the be the best in town. By far. Another notch they have over the late great magnolia station is there is A/C and more places to sit. And about 3 bucks cheaper in price. Just had fantastic burgers at Powerhouse! We are on a road trip and stopped in Pilot Point because it wasn't too far off the route and there is a lake! Driving from Lone Star Lodge to the State Park, we drove right past this place, and the smell was awesome! Wevisited the park for some bike riding and returned to get carry out. It was 7:27 and they close at 7:30, but the staff (maybe it was the owner?) welcomed us in! Ten minutes later we had the most amazing smash burgers! I had the Steakburger and my travel mate had the Big Island. Both were WOW good. They only have two sides--fries and onion straws (a very thin onion ring) and both were excellent--tender and not over done, AND not greasy. Now maybe we were extra hungry from a day of travel and an hour or so of bike riding, but those were some mighty fine burgers! And huge kudos to the staff for cheerfully serving us so close to closing time. read more
