Replaced all the windows on my house in beige almost $60k worth. Had issues with a few of the windows and they would only replace with white windows and not beige. Who in their right mind would accept this. Not me. Unfortunately this company feels like a giant scam. We had the sales team come to our door and we agreed to meet for an estimate. Juan ended up coming over for our estimate and the sales pitch lasted 4 grueling hours, from 4pm-8pm. We also have a toddler my husband and I were trying to wrangle and Juan could not take a hint that things needed to be wrapped up. Juan did a thorough inspection and measured windows and we were estimated ~20k for the whole house so the plan was to split it up and do one half now and the other half later (this was the 3rd quote received and honestly a good quote for quality windows). We were encouraged to do the front half first because it helps with "curb appeal" so we went with it. The first half was installed and honestly they look incredible. A couple days later they return to do an inspection, I immediately start getting suspicious when the guy, Jack, starts taking pictures and measuring the windows that we decided to wait on. He informs us that we really should've installed the back half first due to water damage and he's not sure why that wasn't originally mentioned by Juan. So now Jack starts talking us in to doing the other half to prevent further damage. But, not only did Juan forget to show us the damage but he also measured the back windows incorrectly, turning his ~20k quote into a ~29k quote. Then, they were scheduled to come on March 9th to install windows and we received a call the last weekend of February stating the order for the windows never went through and that they were rescheduling our installation for April 1. I understand things happen and computer systems make mistakes but just an additional negative experience with the company. So here we are fixing all of our windows at one time instead of half and half because either 1. Someone came out and made a genuine mistake or 2. Someone came out with the mindset to scam an unsuspecting family. read more

The windows are great, the sales tactics are insane and defeat the point of the entire process. The price is high for windows and insane for roofing (its not even close). If you enjoy going to the dealership and fighting the sales people then you might like these people, but for 99.9% of people I would say stay away unless you want a lot of unnecessary stress in you life. I replaced some of the windows in my home. The people Power Home Remodeling hired to install the windows did a lousy job. They left caulking all over the outside walls and put a screen over the windows that were lopsided, I noticed there is air coming through the windows when they are closed. I was told the windows were airtight when I purchased them. I called Power to come out and fix the issue, and they refused. I will never do business with this company again. read more

We spent over 13k on 2 windows from Power for the front of our house. They went on and on about the lifetime warranty. One of the widows had a seal failure after about 5 years and moisture began to accumulate in the widow. Both windows contained gothic arch grid and were visible from the front of the house. They were not able to get the same matching window grid, so they said that they would replace one window and it would look completely different than the other. That would leave us with 2 very different windows on the front wall of the house which would look ridiculous from the street. To top it all off, they were very very rude and condescending. They installed our gutters so crooked that water doesn't travel to downspout and drips out the opposite side directly next to the foundation which we were trying to avoid. Read too many bad reviews after the 4 hour estimate we experienced & rush to sign contract...dodged a bullet after the 3 day window to cancel to keep the $3000 discount after estimate but wasn't told about it plus saying no pmt till after install but was later told I had to pay half down because my credit was not good. . I just sold my house in another county,moved to Pinellas & they took my license info, copy of my checking info & I was paying up front, but they changed their mind with payment agreement. In Florida there are legal ways to door knock and illegal ways to door knock. Power House Remodeling uses illegal door knocking methods. After entering a "No Soliciting" posted neighborhood, three men refused to leave when asked. They said they were not able to leave because their bosses sent them there and "it is above my pay grade" to make that decision. They assured me that they had a legal right to be door knocking and nothing I said was going to change their plan. It is impossible to reach the company in Riverview directly. But checking with corporate, Power House prefers disrespecting residents wishes over respect. The corporate person assured me that Power House is obligated to make sure that all door knockers had permits. I re-engaged the three men and asked to see their permits. NOT ONE OF THEM HAD A PERMIT. So much for their aggressive assertions that they "legally had a right to be there." Every one of them knew better but preferred lying. read more

1) The sales rep came at a wrong time to solicit their services. Although it wasn't their fault that they didn't know, when someone tells you there is a death in the family, it's probably best to leave, and maybe not ask how their past holiday went- not the right time or appropriate question to ask at that time. 2) They kept pushing to set up an appointment. I agreed to give them a chance and was going to tell another family member to be on standby while I handle other businesses regarding the death in the family, my job, etc., but they kept pushing that all owners of the home must be present. When I said I trust my standby person to make a decision/ be there to ask questions, the rep kept pushing I had to be present. Frustrated, I told them forget it and reiterated that there's a death in the family and I am not in the mood to deal with it now Their response was they'll call me to confirm the appointment / see if it's an appropriate time to stop by for a quote. 3) They called me several times over several days. They've already left a bad taste in my mouth with what happened earlier (described in points 1 and 2) and now they are becoming invasive and annoying with their constant calls.​​ Take a hint- I do not desire to do service with people who have no social awareness and are very pushy. This company lied to us multiple times to get the sale. The salesman manny gave us 4 different prices for gutters,soffit and fascia and also windows. Decided to do gutters and he convinced us to do soffit and fascia as well. Quoted a price. Next day I'm told from someone else that the soffit isn't included it's $6,000 more. So I say no just do my gutters. They come out to do the gutters and then I'm told there's 10 feet of gutter that they forgot to include in the quote so if I want it done that's more money. Like what? How do you not include everything especially because I already had existing gutters. So again the price increases. When I ask yet another person who calls about it I say well that's your salesman's fault so you should have to endure the extra cost. I was told no you either pay it or no gutters there. They removed a downspout I had and didn't replace it and kept hounding me to sign the document of completion even though the final inspection wasn't done with the inspector yet. He made me do it while on the phone with him and then once I signed it boom the $$$ was taken from my bank. And guess what? They've never contacted me to even do the final inspection. I was going to use them for windows as well but after seeing the underhanded way they do you I took my business somewhere else. I suggest to whoever reads this you do the same. They signed contract with me then scheduled a installation measure the next few days,,the person arrived and after some time reported to me that I had 2 options, one pay more than the contract specified or cancel the order, mind you I already gave them 50 percent on my card. I told him we had a binding contract as it's been 4 days and I was not canceling my agreement. I told him if they were backing out of the contract that I needed a 5,000 canceling fee as now I must start over with my time making calls and appointments to get quotes. He laughed and said they were canceling the agreement and would refund my money that they kept for over a week. Wow, what an exceptional company. We have had new windows installed in our home and it has been the best investment of all times. They have a hard coat low E tint and are totally sound proof. Also hurricane rated. The best of the best!! Having enjoyed our new investment, we decided to update our front door which was aged and in disrepair. Power came on time, measured and appointment was made and door was installed. The installers were clean, caring and the door is beautiful. Salesperson came to door. There is no solicitation in our neighborhood. But my husband set up an appointment to have them look at windows. This was around 1:30 pm. Nice enough fellow. Looked at windows then asked about the roof. Sure take a look. Oops trouble there is leaking. Wow now we are worried! Time ticks by, what about the gutters? Sure take a look at those too. Time ticks by. It's now about 4:30 and we still don't have an estimate. He is still talking to my husband about the roof. Even showing photos of the so called leaks. It's now 6:00. He is now starting to get to the numbers. Over 60,000 for a new roof. And windows about 40,000. Ok, we have a second story but don't have that many more square feet than most! I am so tired of having this sales call. Never in my whole life have I had a sales call run over 6 hours. Then the hard sale comes in. If you sign today you can save about 10,000. Well check your credit score, we can get you financing, blah blah blah. How about I run get a bite and come back? Sure we say. At this point I needed a drink and aspirin! My husband and I talk it over and decided it was definitely a no go. We don't do these things without quotes and references and insurance. He comes back we give home the news. At first taken ok but as more time wears on not so much. Price only good for now, goes up when I leave, blah blah. Finely after over 6 hours of call he leaves. First a today only price should be never taken from these people. Yes, they state the quote is good for a year. And the roof would have a 50; year warranty, but with insurance companies making you change out your roof who is to say that that warranty would be any good. I doubt they will replace my complete roof every 20 years. There was no data for that. Only they would talk to the adjuster if necessary. But, not for today's special price. When you hear that you could save 10,000 you think real hard. But, we didn't fall for it and so far a new roof and gutters will be less than half of the 60,000 quote. Where do I even begin? The holds for over 20 minutes to try to reach someone? The plants that were trampled in front of my house to install a window? Ripping out two windows that were not included in the plans to be removed and then having to fight the company to replace them? Or how about waiting 2.5 months for inspection, only to find out a document wasn't submitted from their permits team, and the "customer service" agent who could care less about our issue and would leave the conversation with large gaps in even talking to me, forcing me to end the call? I will make sure I make a complaint on every site I can to tell people how absolutely awful this company is with their communication and lack of follow up. I made a poor choice with Power Home Remodeling. Do better than I did. If you've recently signed a contract, hopefully you're still within the cancellation window...cancel! Usually, a "Superior product" comes with service that's at least a little better than a trip to the DMV and a quality finished product. Not at Power Home Remodeling! You'll pay a premium price to be treated like a number & get to enjoy less-than acceptable work! In my experience, this company cares about its profit more than its customer's satisfaction. 1) allowing (encouraging?) sales to set inaccurate expectations - sales has no knowledge of current production times related to supply chain issues 2) no proactive communication along the way. 3) a poor finished product My project was delayed by 15 weeks from the expectation set by sales and by 6 weeks from the revised "promise date" set at inspection - I learned of each of the delays when I called. You read that right...when I called. I understand the supply chain issues. But to make sure sales doesn't know the real story about true expected install timeframes is downright corrupt, and it's not too much to ask that someone there would pick up the phone and make an outbound phone call to give a heads up on status. DAY BEFORE the "Promise install Date" set at inspection I thought to myself, "they promised they would be here in the morning to start, but I haven't heard any confirmation, so maybe I should call before I start taking down blinds/curtains & moving furniture". So I call & nope. "It'll be next week." It wasn't. It was six weeks. If, as you say in your reply to this review that, "the satisfaction of [your] customers throughout the entire remodeling process [is your] top priority" then, communication about delays (breaking promises) seems table-takes to make your actions match the words, no? Here is a snippet of a recent conversation I had with Shane, one of PHR's managers, regarding the (apparently novel) suggestion/expectation of proactive communication: Shane: "If we were going to call every single one of our customers about delays in their projects, we would have to hire a person to do JUST that job alone!" Me: "Yes. Yes, you absolutely should if that's what it takes. It's not too much of an ask from your customers. In fact, I had sliding doors done by another company in the same industry. Supply chain issues affected them too, but the difference was that they at least called me to let me know, and they're a smaller company" Shane: "That's exactly why they could call. They can call because they're smaller" Wut? "Smaller" = "more resources to make phone calls" ??? I'm not tracking... Here's an idea, PHR: hire the person you evidently need in order to be able to communicate with your customers, and you won't need to pay the marketing department so much to manage your online reputation. Whatdya think? No? Hire more door-knockers instead? Ok. Gotcha. I should have had the "smaller" company do my windows too. They were less expensive. I chose PHR because of the difference in expectations around install. The "smaller" one said it'd be 30 weeks-ish. PHR at sales appt said 9 to 11 weeks, and because they boast this exclusive manufacturer relationship...so it made sense to me. Nope. I was just duped. Turns out the "smaller" company is also honest up-front. And, yes, I'm frustrated. Mostly tho with myself for not sniffing a snake. Windows installed today. They're nice as Power didn't make them. The work Power did was not commensurate with what you'd call "a superior product" The trim work is horrible, didn't bother to clean up afterwards. Sure did the work fast tho! And!! We had our window and sliding door replaced on April 6th. On April 7th I received a follow-up call to see how the installation went. I let the woman on the call know that the installation looked horrible. The caulking was... well, I'm not sure there are any words to how poorly the caulking was done. Would it be bad to say that a 2 year old could probably have made it look better? There isn't a single place in the caulking that looks acceptable. There are scratches, cuts and missing chunks on the window frames. The sliding door won't close from the outside. I'm pretty sure it's either warped or not put on correctly. I have cherry wood floors. They removed the threshold and replaced it with another piece that is a totally different color. They put it in in 2 pieces instead of one solid piece, and they attached it with white caulking that has seeped out. I've had several floors installed and never had white caulking used. I expected that they would use an adhesive and that any caulking would be dark so that it isn't an eyesore. I sent multiple pictures and videos. I was told that they would have to send the same crew back out to fix the installation. I let the woman know that I was not okay with that. If the install crew couldn't do it right the first time, how could I trust that they could remove the first installation and do it better a second time. Additionally, only the person that I assume was them team lead spoke any English, and what he spoke was not enough for me to communicate how upset we were with the job that they did. I was finally contacted on May 24th asking if they could reschedule the inspection that never happened. I let them know I was still waiting on a resolution and a contact for the installation. Today, May 26th, 2023, I spoke with PHR, I believe the gentleman's name was Matthew. I resent the pictures and videos that I sent on the 7th of April. I was told to give them a few days, but they will get back to me. So as of right now, my problem has not been resolved. After having a good experience with window installation in the first half of our house, we decided to have the rest done. The second time was awful. The guys they sent just put a sheet inside the house which they screwed to my window, and busted out the old windows with a crow bar! (The first team of guys were VERY careful and removed every window pane individually.) They were very rough causing damage to the brick on the outside of my house. They busted my marble window sil in the kitchen which I noticed as soon as they left. I called the manager and he had the nerve to act like it was broken when they started. We chose this company because of how much they boast about being insured if anything happens but when it does they try to deny it. After going back and forth for about a week, they "decided to replace the window sil "as a courtesy"" STILL NOT OWNING THEIR MISTAKE After seeing who they really are as a company I would not recommend them.
