This company called me to finalize an application, but I had already spoken to someone and decided not to move forward. I was only asking for $1,000 for 2 days, yet they wanted to charge me nearly $4,000! That's pure abuse and taking advantage of people. I was told that I could get $825.00 and my first payment of $261.47 would be due in 2 weeks and the remaining payments would be $261.47 every other week for the TERM of the loan. I asked what the term would be she "six months" with confidence. I immediately switched over to my calculator; $3,137.64 for $825.00 is insane. Yes, I agree. the $2 per $100 per day can quickly shoot up to over $1000 a month on interest on a $1155.00 loan. They were very nice. They will call you to let you know when the payment is due. I know these loan places offer extremely high interest, but even if you pay it off early, there is no lower rate. This is predatory at its finest. I wish I knew all the details before doing business with Power Finance. How do they expect you to repay 4X's the loan amount when the borrower was in a bind hence the reason for the loan? My loan was about 780.00. After all is said and done I'm paying back 249.00, 13 times to fulfill the loan. It's drafted like clock work. I've already paid back the amount I was approved but I'm still paying more due to interest. I'm sure they don't care because desperate people will continue to utilize this service. I wish this wasn't so but it is. I can't wait to be away from this company. I can't sleep because I can't afford groceries because this debit comes out bi weekly. Lesson learned. This girl told me my first payment would be a prorated amount of $270.83, almost 1/3 of the loan, then wanted me to pay another 5 monthly payments of $663.48 a month! That is over $4000 for $990 dollar loan! Furthermore... I did not even apply for this loan, they ran my information without my permission from some website they use to get people's information! I don't know how this company is getting away with charging a daily fee of $9.27 for a measly $400.00. I notice after my second payment back in October that my balance was way higher than the amount I borrowed. I called customer service and was told by one of the representatives this information. Not even credit card companies charge you interest this outrageous. Like come on really, total rip off. I called today to pay off because I'm just tired of it.
