The checkout lady was competent. She even thanked me for bringing my recycling bags, asked me how my visit was and invited me to come back to the store. The bagger was pleasant. He happily bagged my items and as I exited, I believe it was a manager, smiled and bade me farewell. Two thumbs up. This is a model class in grocery store customer service. I will be back.

This has been the reality for several businesses as we feel the economy on our backs, but Walmart and the indecisive McDonalds - two giants - are easily my biggest contenders.
