My last visit was the final straw when a very intoxicated man at the bar repeatedly insisted on buying me a drink. I told the bartender I was uncomfortable and did not want him to buy me one, but the bartender went against my wishes. The man then wouldn't leave me alone and berated me, making comments about how "white women like me" are the reason the country is the way it is. He was also extremely racist and disrespectful toward the bartender. A server recognized the situation and offered to get a manager, which I appreciated. They then asked me, loudly and in front of this angry and intoxicated man, if I wanted him kicked out. This put me in a situation that felt unsafe. Putting a customer in that position was incredibly unprofessional, especially when I had already made it clear that I felt uncomfortable. The bartender even said, "It's OK, he's here all the time." The fact that the response was essentially that his behavior was okay because he was a regular made the situation even more disappointing. After years of genuinely loving this place, I'm disappointed to say that between the decline in food quality and how this situation was handled, I won't be returning.

I wouldn't even mind paying the exorbitant hotel price. I'm a caffeine addict who doesn't drink coffee, so I need my morning soda! I loved Red Wheat Baking Co. downstairs. The sandwiches and hamburgers were excellent, and it was so easy to run in and grab a quick bite. We also ate at The Stilwell, and it was wonderful. Our server recommended a delicious entrée and appetizers that really hit the spot after a long day at the convention. The housekeeping staff was wonderful, the front-desk staff was great, and they were even nice after the second time I lost my room key!
