The servers and bartenders are so fun throughout the week, and are willing to talk through the drinks and provide some wonderful details and recommendations. The atmosphere is unmatched across Kansas City. You won't find a cooler interior with the lights and ceilings with a beautiful view of the city, but the lesser known star of the location is the patio seating, with great views of the skyline. My friends and I have tried most of the drinks, but the Enfleurage, Magnus, Ambrosia and Kashi are favorites of the latest menu.

Unless you want to stand by the windows with a shelf as a table like outcasts, I would suggest making a reservation. The interior is beautiful. The lights on the ceiling mimic a starry night, visible through the glass windows from the street below. To enter you'll have to meet the host outside the bar on the 1st floor (currently Jade Jaguar). The host will send you up to the Mercury room via elevator, where you will be greeted by a server who will lead you into the gorgeous space. The space has 4 couches for larger parties, a few tables for seating, about 6 bar seats and a couple shelf tables for the unprepared outsiders without reservations (us). You will also be greeted with a complimentary tiny glass of kombucha. We didn't order food, but the drinks were delicious and unique. Mercury Room is a great place to stop by on a date night. Side note: This is the first place in Kansas City where I actually felt underdressed so if you want to dress up and go somewhere with a matching atmosphere of luxury, this is the place.

Our server, Ashley (might be wrong spelling, sorry), was incredible and answered all of our menu questions like a pro. Food was excellent. Wife loved her crab omelette and my steak and eggs were perfect. We're for sure coming back for a date night soon to check out the dinner menu. There was ample street parking and we found a spot no problem. I'm not sure if they even have a parking lot since I took that street spot right away (hopefully the restaurant can clarify in comments).

Located at 2976 Gillham Rd in Kansas City, MO, this spot absolutely lives up to the hype. I had heard so many great things before going, and I'm happy to say it did not disappoint. The brunch menu is impressively diverse, with something for everyone. It was honestly hard to choose because everything sounded so good. We started with a vanilla oat milk latte, which was perfectly made -- smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. For starters and mains, we tried the smothered biscuit, dill caper deviled eggs (including the sriracha version, which had the perfect kick), buttermilk fried chicken, the chicken and waffles three-way (beautiful presentation and incredible flavor), and the vegetarian quiche of the day. Every single dish delivered on flavor, quality, and presentation. You can truly tell care goes into both the food and the overall experience. This has officially earned a spot on my list of top brunch spots in Kansas City. Highly recommend for a weekend brunch date, girls' brunch, or when you just want to treat yourself to something delicious. This rooftop gem on the Country Club Plaza has such a youthful, energetic vibe--perfect for a milestone like this. Our server was excellent--super friendly, attentive, and even recommended a beautiful and delicious cocktail that paired perfectly with our dinner. We went all out and sampled a ton from the menu: fried lobster tail, pepperoni pizza, spicy tuna roll, salmon roll, wagyu Nagiri, oysters with caviar, and wagyu sliders. Most of the food was absolutely delicious! The sushi rolls stood out with their unique flavors and beautiful presentation--what a nice surprise. Our absolute favorites were the wagyu nagiri (melt-in-your-mouth incredible) and the oysters with caviar. The wagyu sliders were also a hit. That said, the fried lobster tail was a bit of a letdown--chewy and lacking the flavor punch that everything else delivered. The atmosphere is lively and fun, but heads up: it gets very loud. We were at one of those tiny cocktail tables and basically had to yell across it to chat, which made conversation a challenge during dinner. On the bright side, we scored an amazing seat with a stunning view of the Plaza. Watching the sunset while eating was magical and made the whole experience feel extra special for a birthday. Overall, great food (with just a couple minor misses), awesome vibes, top-notch service, and that unbeatable rooftop setting. I'd definitely recommend Prime Social and we'd go back in a heartbeat--maybe just bring earplugs if you're planning to talk a lot! 4 stars.

Just wow. Close this…read moreplace or get a manager. In short. A Sunday evening. Stopped in for a bit of food. And let's give the food the 3 stars it deserves. It was OK. Exactly what you would expect from any fast food place that turns over cooks as fast as it turns over burgers. But this is a restaurant. Yeah, it is a country-themed, big, and wooden hunting-style restaurant. With absolutely nothing Big, Hunted, or Country on the menu. There is no heart here. Just whatever you could pick up for quick reheating from Sysco or Costco. And service... well, the most service we received was when one person stopped by long enough to ask us if our server had been by to get our payment. When we told her no... she didn't take our payment... she just said, "it figures" and presumably told the kid waiting on us. After she finished what she was doing with her tables, of course. Moral of the story... just go somewhere else. It will be a long drive to get to the next place. But you will enjoy it more.

Menu was mostly classic midwest/southern fare (not my personal fav). We split the pretzels and queso appetizer - so good! My husband had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatos and broccoli. He enjoyed all of it, but found the roll very bland. It also came with a cup of the soup of the day or salad - soup was a white chicken chili which was surprisingly delicious! My dad had a hot beef sandwich, which he enjoyed. Mom had sliders and onion rings and brought some leftovers home. The onion rings were very tasty! Service was amazing, staff was very attentive. We were there during a lull between lunch and dinner and there were maybe 3-4 other tables. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves!

We hit the club for brunch with a group, and while the ambiance was pure "Country Club Chic," the execution was a bit more "Sunday Morning Sand Trap." The Liquid Courage I started off my round with two drinks. the Bloody Mary. It was fine--tasty enough, but it certainly didn't change my life or inspire any poetry. However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.
