I had insurance so I filed a claim & they directed me to return to Diamond Cellar to pick out a replacement ring. Immediately it was not a pleasant experience. The receptionist never placed me in que despite being the 3rd person in the door after they opened at 10am. I sat annoyed for over 30 mins before approaching her again and asked if I should just make an appt. She said no there was a mix up. I wish I would've just left then. So much happened in between then and now but on 4/25 I called asked if I could speak to a manager because after placing my replacement order they have continued to try to mark the price up despite everything being written up properly & me having both the receipts for the stone as well as the setting. I originally called 3.5 hrs before closing and the receptionist told me if the female manager felt it was important she would return my call. I called back 25 mins before they closed again asking to speak to the manager. She then informed me the manager would call me back closer to closing time. I said do you not close in 25 mins? She said yes then abruptly ended the phone call that ended with "bye". At this point I'm going to try to reach someone af the corporate office because the way they are behaving like a used car sales lot is appalling. I refuse to pay a penny more than the agreed upon price that is on all my order receipts I was given when I placed the order on 2/21. They have flat out lied twice now about why the cost is changing. Avoid at all cost, even if you've had spectacular experience there in the past. I would much rather have them refund my insurance company the money that was wired to them for the replacement and take my business elsewhere and be treated as a valued customer.

We got in at 11 AM and by 11:05 AM she was essentially shooing us out the door. However, Dennis, the resident gemologist greeted us after Elaine Howard quickly rushed to try and sell some Mother's Day trinkets to the 2 other customers in the store. We would never use Star Jewelers to view any jewelry again. The same day we went to Polaris and purchased the Gabriel & Co. Royalty engagement ring with the matching wedding band and a high quality lab grown alexandrite as the center stone. It's not much, but I'm glad Star Jewelers didn't get my 6K worth of business for the day. He had rose gold added to the side of the ring, and a euro shank to help balance it out. I had no involvement in the ring design process - he did it completely alone with the help of CDI, and I love my ring to death!! It took about 3 tries of resizing for us to get the free just right, but now it is absolutely perfect. For my wedding bands, I had a design in mind and was able to work with CDI to get custom rings created. The custom rings were made to have the euro shank to line up with my engagement ring, and were also made to be the same width as the main ring in order to match better. I then wanted two different textures on each ring, and diamonds from my grandmother's wedding rings embedded in the side. Since these rings were then soldered together, it again took me 2 tries to get the resizing right. CDI was very patient with my vision, and helped create rings that I will love for life. Thank you!
