The service was great, and the menu was simple and easy to read and to understand. You have a decent view looking out to the mountains, and the lake down below. The presentation of the pizza was amazing and everything was delicious. Nothing was greasy and I could not find a fault in the pizza at all. Technically it is pizza and in a great location. What it has going for it: - great location if your staying up on the mountain - great views - decent choices of beer - they deliver (on the mountain) for $2 What it has going against it: - rather pricey for what you are getting - place looks old and worn - rather bland taste to pizza - pizza is over baked - open seasonally So I am still trying to find NY style pizza, thought this place may have had some promise...but it doesn't. Pizza is rather bland. Don't think they even used sauce when making the pizza. They use a conveyor type oven (not much skill involved), so you really shouldn't be able to screw the baking process up.... but they have, pie was over baked. Rather expensive too...$20 for a plain 16" pie? Really? If your up on the mountain and feel like pizza, then I guess this place to go since there are no other pizza places on the mountain. Picked up pizza and salad after a day of skiing. Called in the order and was quoted 20 minutes. We walked over to pick up from our room and pizza was just coming out of the oven. I have to say I was surprised with how great the pizza was! Crust was well cooked with a crisp exterior and soft bite inside. Great flavor and plenty of cheese. Be aware that they toast their pizzas more than the average place, but the pizza is in no way burnt... it was perfect! Excellent thin crust pizza. Wood oven! Delicious. Service is excellent and restaurant is clean with indoor and outdoor seating. The white topping CBD IS OUTSTANDING. Pepperoni is seasoned just perfectly. A must visit if you are in SANDPOINT Idaho. Will be back many many times. Also love to order 3/4 cooked and finish at home. I've been to Powder Hound Pizza twice now, and have no reason to stop. I enjoyed both the BBQ Chicken and the Spicy Thai pizzas. Both were excellently made, using fresh and flavorful ingredients. I was especially a big fan of the sauces. They rose above expectations and really made the pizza feel at home to its theme. The BBQ Chicken pizza had a nice smoky flavor to it. The crust was just the right thickness, and the toppings were full of flavor. The Spicy Thai was similar, but featured a larger variety of vegetables and a peanut flavored sauce with a bit of bite to it. Although a little on the pricey side, business is well worth eating at. read more

Absolute best food on the mountain. Husky Hawaiian is the best pizza I've ever had, must try. Pizza are bit pricey, but for a ski resort and the quality of the pizza, it is well worth it. Drinks are incredibly fairly priced. Most beers are $5 or less, and you can get a Hamms can for $1.50! That fact alone makes it the best lunch spot on the mountain! read more

OH MY GOD. This is some of the BEST pizza I've ever had. Almost EVERYONE who ate with us had two or three pieces MAX after a day of skiing and felt like they were going to burst -- in a good way :) I had something with bacon on it that blew my mind. Great location and friendly staff. Now about the food...I'm not a pizza connoisseur, but this pizza was not our favorite. My husband thought it wasn't bad and the crust was good, but the rest of our family found the pizza to be on the dry side. The breadsticks were not good and neither was the Caesar salad. I'm not sure what it cost since my husband went out to get it, but I probably wouldn't choose to order from here again. I'm giving them 2 stars instead of one because of the friendly staff and convenience of the location. read more

Yum. Yum. Yum. After quite a dissapointing experience at the chimmney rock, my husband and I wandered over here to get some beer and pizza. They turned our frowns upside-down, the staff was extremely friendly, let me sample some beer, and had fresh out of the oven pizza. The setting is extremely casual, and there are window seats that face the smaller mountain.The best part- for 2 beers and 2 slices of pizza it was a mere $14. We recently ate here as a family and many times before over the years. Overall, the pizza is OK, the beer selection is pretty good (10 or so beers on tap) but the service is poor. Time and time again the pizza takes for ever! This time there was a group of 20 year olds (lift oerators I believe)that were loud and using foul language. The staff didn't do a thing about. When we left we mentioned the issue to an employee but he just shrugged his shoulders and said "it's not my place". I can tell you, with this attitude, poor service and OK pizza we will likely not patron this establishment again. No wonder Schweitzer can never get their act together, places like these turn people away from the mountain. Where's the value and quality of the experience? read more

We visited with a party of 10 which is hard to seat there but we made it happen with a little patience.This is a self-service type pizza where you order pizza, beer, or wine at the counter. They sell pizza by the slice as well. Rock and roll atmosphere inside based on the après ski crowd and good beers on tap. Staff was very friendly. Busiest time is between 5:30 and 8:00. read more

This is the only option for pizza at Schweitzer Mountain. We were too lazy to drive out to Sandpoint so we opted for this. They do have a lot of toppings but the pizza was mediocre at best. I guess living in Chicago and Boston, you are spoiled with too many pizza joints. read more

Three pizza's, two medium and one large came to $76.00. The pizza was okay, not stellar, but we certianly did not find good value here.

Ordered sandwiches, delicious! Good service clean restaurant. Would definitely go back.
