There's parking in the parking lot but also street parking. We got there and were seated right away. They had lots of choices for food! We went with a taco and cauliflower appetizer. We had the poutine mexicaine which was amazing! The fries were curly fries that gave the dish a nice touch. For the main meal we had the Lyon hamburger which was absolutely delicious. They had plenty of drinks non alcoholic and alcoholic. Overall a great place for a girls night, date night or even lunch out with the kids!

Let's talk about the Mexican Poutine which is the one I picked - it's like a fiesta in your mouth! There's crispy curly fries and they loaded them up with nacho cheese and the freshest local curd cheese you ever did taste. And then, hold the phone, they've topped it all off with nacho cheese, tomatoes, bacon, and spicy peppers. A dollop of sour cream with a hint of cilantro brings it all together! Now, the Portuguese Poutine is on the new menu and its spicy chicken, peppers, and onions, and let me tell you,it's not super spicy so you'll be okay but the flavors were all there. The vibe of this place? Imagine snagging one of those big circle patio chairs by the water, sipping your Stewart's, and eating your poutine with the wind in your hair haha - talk about the ultimate summer vibes While other folks were at regular tables or picnic spots, I was living my best life tucked away under a tree beside the water. And hey, even on a Wednesday, this place was super busy!

La Patate Dorée - Terrible Customer Service…read more Thursday April 27 After frequenting this restaurant two times per week with my disabled roommate, I am now finished with this restaurant PERMANATLY. After a 25 min drive from Chateauguay, my roommate and I arrived for a good hotdog. As usual I placed our order which is always the same, so much so the staff knows my order by heart. * 2 all dressed cheese dogs with extra onion and a small fry for myself * 1 all dressed cheese dog with extra onion and a cola for my roommate. We received our hotdogs with only cheese and onions. So I got out of the car and brought it back to the window to have the order redone. She asked me if I wanted to keep the order anyway, and I replied no please remake it. She hands me back 3 Hotdogs, 5 mins later with no fries. I gave my roommate his order as it was correct and put mine in the garbage. Being upset now I went inside to re-order and even take the loss of 15$ for 2 dogs and a fry. She then asks me why I put it in the garbage and began complaining instead of taking my order. I told her you made 2 errors, NOT 1, But 2!! I even come back in to pay again because you can't get a simple hotdog order correct. She told me she would have made the fries and acknowledged she had made ANOTHER mistake. I replied so I'm supposed to wait and let my hotdogs get cold while you fix yet ANOTHER error?? She then shrugs and says she can't do nothing. Being so disgusted I just left. Arriving home 25 mins later I decide to call to speak to the owner. I was then passed to same cashier and again, she acknowledges her mistake and apologizes and tells me she's busy and then hangs up in my face. I was never offered any kind of compensation for HER mistakes. Again, she not only made 1 mistake but 2 back to back and no compensation was offered. The food might be good, but the customer respect is absolutely ZERO. I seriously recommend going somewhere else. Don't give them your money.

They have a good deal on takeout pizzas, where you can get a large for 11 dollars and an xlarge for 16, with three toppings of your choice. I usually go with chicken and smoked meat, just because at other pizza places they charge you extra for those. Generally the pizza is pretty decent and service is quick. The fried food tends to be more sketchy. A few times I've gotten things that tasted burnt...they might not be changing oil often enough. Poutine is decent though, but avoid the chicken poutine...it was those weird chicken-nugget esque pieces of meat, probably made from mechanically separated meat. I usuallly just go with the normal poutine. My friend swears by the spicy poutine, but the secret is just a sprinkle of cayenne so save yourself 50c and do it at home.

Normally when you call a delivery place less than 15 minutes before they close, the answer you get is something like, "Well... I'm sorry we're closing soon, and we can't take your order!". The even more important detail is that night the weather weather was a fright (icy roads en mass). I would have understood if they had said the roads were too slippery, but they just rocked it. Regardless of both facts, they were able to take the order, and deliver in 30 minutes or less. Reviewer's note: I'm not sure they knew this, but since the power was out for several hours and the roads were a disaster I was pretty stuck. If they hadn't been able to deliver, I would have had a very long night indeed, as I hadn't eaten much all day and used up a lot of energy keeping warm. Compared to people who have little to eat all day, I shouldn't complain, but again under the circumstances they really did something beyond the norm, and it was very appreciated. Thanks again.

Luckily we called ahead and found they were indeed open for takeout. I went with the classic poutine and my partner took the special poutine which had onions, peppers, and beef. We ordered through the phone and went inside to pick it up on arrival. Service was very prompt and friendly, and they were kind enough to give us two plastic glasses of water free of charge. The dining room was closed when we went but their patio had some picnic tables that they said we were free to use, which we really appreciated. The poutine was quite good, not too salty and not too mushy. The special poutine was tasty as well, from the few bites I tried. It wasn't extraordinary but it was more than decent, and reasonably cheap. I would go again.

I was asked to work in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue for a few days (as opposed to my usual place in…read moredowntown Montreal) and this was the first restaurant that I tried during my lunch for that week. It is called Restaurant Basile but the receipts for some strange reason show Arcade Basile. I'm not sure why they have Arcade in the name since I didn't see/hear any arcade machines inside but I didn't really look when I entered. When I entered, I was offered the option of eating outside facing the boardwalk or inside. It was a sunny and hot day so I opted to eat inside. I was offered a menu which I looked at to see what was available and what the prices were like however I had made my decision when I was outside since they had a placard at the entrance indicating their lunch specials. When the waitress returned, she asked me if I decided what I wanted. I mentioned that I would like to get the fish & chips lunch special advertised in the front (the price on the menu was a bit more expensive). I also opted to get a beer with my lunch. There were not a lot of people inside the restaurant on the day that I went and there were people sitting in the outside terrace facing the boardwalk. In terms of speed, I was a bit worried since I needed to be back at my office by a certain time but my fish & chips arrived in a decent amount of time. The short order cook brought me the ketchup for my fries without me asking for ketchup. The fish was huge. It was one piece and very large. I would have preferred the outside to be a bit more crispy/crunchy but it was crispy (and not soggy). The inside was very moist. The fries were very good and what could I say about the beer... it was Stella beer. The coleslaw was very good and the dill pickle was to my liking. During my meal, the waitress stopped by my table and asked me if everything was fine and I mentioned that it was. She also asked me if she could get me anything else close to the end of my meal and I mentioned that I could go for an extra cup of water which she refilled. Once I finished eating, I looked at my watch and needed to leave so I asked for my bill. I believe the owner provided me with the bill and I asked if they accepted credit cards since I wasn't sure if their machine was only for debit card purchases and she confirmed that it worked for both. I quickly paid and then left. I would rate this place as 3.5 stars which I've rounded up to 4.
