I did some research for a classic poutine, and landed here and I'm so glad I did! Quick service and I sat at the counter as it was only me. The fries were on the thinner side so they were crispier, and the amount of squeaky cheese curds was AMAZING. This has been the only spot so far that has given the acceptable ratio of cheese curds to fries, I was so happy! It ran me $12CAD, not bad at all and I will definitely be back my next visit.

Came here to try the iconic poutine. It's a classic poutine with olives. The cheese curds are squeaky and the fries are crispy. The poutine was surprisingly sweeter than what I was expecting. My only nitpick is that the gravy isn't hot enough to melt the cheese curds further. I prefer a more melted poutine. Worth a try if you've never had poutine! The restaurant is small, but the service is really friendly and fast.

Finally tried Patati Patata after all these years on a busy Friday evening. It's next door to Bar Big in Japan. We lucked out and were able to grab seats at the counter. The inside is small with 12 seats. Workers were friendly and refilled waters. - Blonde ($7.00 pint) - Poutine classique ($11.00) - shareable between two. Decent but needed more gravy - Filets de sole panés ($15.00) - fish was tender. Fries were serviceable, salad was bland - Burger boeuf ($5.00) - added bacon ($1.00) and cheese ($1.00). Basically a slider. Beef was salty

Definitely a must-visit establishment, of course for the food but also the vibes. Small place but great atmosphere. We went for a Patatine (poutine with cut raw veggies) and Grilled Cheese. Not a fan of Patatine as a concept (still wanted to give it a shot) but the poutine part of that was great. Grilled cheese was amazing. Would definitely visit again to try other things in the menu. Staff was great, super friendly and chilled. Couple of tables and bar seating available inside but many folks just did a takeout. Definitely recommended.

Poutine was very good. Second best i've had in Montreal. However, service seemed cold. Indifferent to my presence. As a tourist, unlikable.

A sweet and haphazard little place. The food was good and needed before walking into the market and gathering some treats. The fries are perfect and the burgers are on the small side, but are flavorful. This is a good stop, if you are wanting some hot food before walking around this neighborhood.

One of the good poutines spot in Montreal. Nothing outof this world but the poutine is goid. Fries are crunchy just enough, brown sauce are good, there should be more cheese but it's a 7.5/10 poutine! Service is good and mood in the restaurant is also nice.

Went here for poutine due to the witty name. Grabbed a counter seat and got the classic poutine along with small cider. The fries are thinner than I expected but good flavor. The olive was a nice touch. I didn't have room for it but the burgers and french onion soup did look good.

My oh my, this was my first Montreal poutine, and by far, the best one I had. Every potato fry was crispy and covered in gravy, which had a beautiful earthy taste. The cheese curds were plentiful and squeaked with every bite. It is a great portion and the price for it was even better. I loved the hard working staff and the fact I could watch my poutine being made in front of me only made me enjoy it more. It is also literally a block or two away from where Canadian icon Leonard Cohen used to live. Hallelujah! I know they tell you never to fall in love with your first, but considering I had other plates of this while in Quebec, exceptions can be made.

Very small and cozy place and Amazing service, food was a 7/10, ordered loaded poutine with beef patties and had to remind them to add cheese to the loaded poutine. It was too small compared to their regular poutine which we ordered too. A bit too expensive for poutine but I guess you are paying for the name.

These fries come as close to European fries as I have had. Order them plain or poutined to a variety of different options. They sell approximately 1000lbs or 454 kilos/day of french fries; at first bite you'll understand why. The Potatoes are locally sourced from Québec, McDonald's sources their potatoes from Québec as well which is indicative of the fame and quality product grown in Canada. If you are a fry potatohead, you can't go wrong at Patati.

Did I actually choose a vegan dish? I was really intrigued after reading all the raving reviews on the tofu burger so I decided to give it a try. It was a mini slider size for $4, very reasonably priced and a good size for tasting so you can try other items. We also got the poutine and eggs which was an interesting combination but it wasn't anything too exciting. Overall friendly staff and a nice place for lunch.

A great quick grab and go spot if you're on the move or even if you want to dine in. A low key corner unit on a busy street that is hustling and bustling throughout the night. Had the opportunity to try their classic poutine and my mind was blown away. Crispy fries with your classic cheese curds and gravy. Loved every bite of it and still thinking about this for the next time I go back.

I decided to walk down Rue Saine-Catherine to see if anything stood out to me. Patty Slaps caught my eye as soon as I passed it, and since burgers sounded good we decided to check it out. Patty Slaps is a fast casual spot. Walking in, we were greeted by a large, open space with communal tables the main production area towards the back. Ordering is done on kiosks up front - the menu is somewhat limited, but they have several types of burgers which are able to be customized to your liking. I didn't want to get too big of a burger, so I went with the Patty Jr. and customized some of the sauces. The burger itself was good, albeit I'm glad I got the junior size as it was a little too greasy for my liking - it had that glazed doughnut look. We also got some poutine to share which was good but not the best I've had in the city. Service was fast, and overall I enjoyed my meal at Patty Slaps. It's good for what it is, and I wouldn't be mad if circumstances found me here in the future.

The smoked meat sandwich is what they're known for and it came out tender and juicy. You can also reserve room if you are a big group. There's also a restaurant with various food that we didn't try. We didn't try the arcade, we ran out of time on our schedule but we will come back. The arcade work with a card where you accumulate point that you can spent on things in the gift shop. Like many arcade, the more token you buy, the cheaper the cost per token is. We took the combo that is 1 game of bowling, 1 game of laser tag and 1 round of mini golf. The bowling is with big balls. There's a little ramp for the kids or those that just need a little help. There's only one though so you have to share it across the 8 alley. The bowling itself is nice, alley are straight and clean. There's a wide range of ball weight that should be ok for everyone. The mini golf here is special. It's not a less put parcours, it's a most point. Point are done in 2 ways. Once you put, there's a 60sec timer. The time left once you enter the cup is bonus point. The other way is through the course. There's special tricks that you can do to earn extra points and even lose some. It's a very nice twist and it was fun. We ended with a game of laser tag. I saw the maximum occupancy is 28 players splitter in 2 or 3 teams. We were 6 and honestly, the room is small. Unless there's some hidden wall that get open for more player, I wouldn't see much more then 10 players. 28 would be over crowded for sure. For us at 6, it was perfect. One thing is the room itself is dangerous. Like many laser tag room, it's dark. The problem is they put some stuff like ramp but without anything to show you the edge or worst, they put some theming. Half of us were hurt by the stage. I myself trip, while walking slowly down one of those ramp where I though it was going in a specific direction but no. I ended up falling face first, scratching my knees and nearly broking my finger. My girlfriend opened her elbow while edging a wall and our friend got some similar stuff happened. Another thing is they don't really explain you anything beside how to shoot. There's a lot of stuff in the room that you can shoot and I never knew if it did anything beside some animation. Like a wall that seems like maybe a forcefield that would maybe disable enemy shield if they walk through? I don't know. The gun had 2 way to shoot, a long laser or a short range scatter shot like a shotgun. Was fun to be able to cycle through mode. We still had fun, but the state was dangerous in my opinion. It is a nice place to have a fun spend money. Kids will love it for sure and grown up too
