Yet another Leicester, rather than Leicester Square shop.
This is like all the other shops in the chain - really fun to go into and repeatedly ask the staff how much things are. Of course, nowadays there is an increasing number of items for sale at 2 or 3 for a pound, which makes the pricing scheme slightly more interesting.
As with any pound shop, some of the stuff is slightly overpriced at a pound compared to what you'd pay in a supermarket whereas some stuff is really cheap. There are some branded products which you'll be familiar with and other products which are of questionable quality.
This particular branch is a long narrow shop with stairs down halfway along. It gets quite full, particularly because of the queues at the entrance and that means it can be hard to negotiate around. Definitely one to avoid if you've got a pushchair or wheelchair with you. read more
