I asked a gal at the pharmacy where the nearest restroom is and she directed us here. My friend and I hopped in our car and drove here, parking in their relatively empty parking lot. There was a small group walking along the beach but it didn't look like they meant to suntan or swim there. I noticed a water fountain and picnic tables likely used for weekend items. Coming on a Thursday morning, this part of the park was empty. Though we came here for a purpose, I could see us bringing our food from our lunch spot here and enjoy our meal with nature.

Honestly I can't stand the crowds so if I ever stay on Oahu over the other islands I'd probably pick this area to stay away from crowds of Honolulu and north shore area.

The owner have alot of towels, cards, board games, and even stuff to use on the ocean like boarding, snorkling equipments. New screens just got installed recently. Alot of public access beaches- around 5-10 mins of walking. Basically everything you need to stay on a home for several days! Just check out the pictures we took. Their all breath taking! this house is truly a gem! it has 4 bedrooms which is good for a large family to stay when in…read morehawaii. the master bedroom is separate and has a full view of the ocean...no need to wake up early and go walk just to see the sunrise because you can just watch it from the bedroom itself! it has a gorgeous view of the beach. you can relax and eat at the house deck while doing the ff: listening to the sound of the waves, enjoying the sea breeze and of course, seeing the beautiful ocean scenery. you dont have to pay for an ocean adventure using an agency because the house is near the beach (5 minute walk only) and has everything you need for a beach day. they have complete set of beach stuff to use (snorkel gear, boogie boards, beach mats, beach chair, umbrella, kiddie water toys). the owner is very kind and thoughtful. when there is something you need help with, he responds quickly to tend to the issue and is also very accommodating. overall, this house deserves a 5 star! i would stay here again when i come back and definitely recommend it to everyone!

So, stop by and take a break and visit this place. it seems like a lot of the locals come here, so that pretty much tells you something right there. Give it a shot!

Watch for surf and current... it was a little rough. it is also a campground but sign says that a printed permit is required to be able to use the park and all fees are non-refundable. We made a stop here to enjoy the scenery. The parking lot is just a short walk to the shore... can't see the beach immediately, at least from where we parked by the restrooms, but once we reached the sandy part and got a glimpse of the ocean it was "oooohs" and "aaaahhs." The nice stretch of soft sand and its ocean background is great for picture-taking especially when the surf is up... the best part was that there weren't that many people on this beach when we came. We visited on a Thursday afternoon and we almost had the whole beach to ourselves. Not sure how the crowd is here during the weekend. Kokololio, meaning "gusty" in Hawaiian. Review #2633

I do however, get occasional "teleworking fever" brought on by the current work-at-home mandate. This weekend we tried to do something about it by seeking out some alternative hiking locations. While Turtle Bay resort is still closed, the myriad of hiking paths are still open. We chose to avail ourselves of the Kahuku point trail and some other ancillary loop trails that stretch across the resort grounds. The day was a perfect one with brisk trades and plenty sun. The 1.5 mile loop and back took us about 3 hours including some time spent gazing out at the point at all the breakers and exploring tide pools. Even spied small fish and found some very interesting geological history--such as micro perforated rocks showing how the volcanic gases escaped. In the end we left the resort feeling decently exercised and ready to face Monday morning! Highly recommend a visit. Mahalo for reading my review.

We only explored a short section from the beginning as it was too sunny and hot for us to go any further. The scenery is relaxing and the beaches were not that crowded despite being next to a hotel. Little critters can be discovered and we had an entertaining time watching all the crabs scurry away from the waves. A variety of birds can be spotted in the vicinity too. We parked at the lot right before Turtle Bay Resort that is accessible via Kuilima Drive. From there, you can walk to the starting point of Turtle Beach and then head east.

We didnt even get to stay here because the owners are back and fourth on policy's Booked in for Dec 2020 during covid. My family contracted Covid days away from trip. We were definitely well within the Covid guidelines of a return policy, but they wouldn't give one so we agreed to just using the credit at a later. After that they more than able to cancel it and tried to reschedule us for the spring . Their availability went away every time. Every few months we would attempt to make a booking, but they were always full. (interesting right ?) Next thing you know two years plus go by. Now she says she's unable to give us any compensation or credit because we're past the two years. It's not our fault they did not have availability. Don't book your stay here. The owners have every intention to get money out of you and lack any type of customer service. Worst customer service and just the worst selfish people. The owners are very kind and attentive. They let us borrow some of their boogie boards and beach chairs when we spent a day at Hukilau beach. It was amazing waking up to the sun rise every day. The beach was great for our kids (not too rough, not too deep). We love the north shore area of Oahu and will always stay here when we visit.
