They also offer Italian products to purchase. It is not just sandwiches though, they also have delicious salads, focaccia, panini, piadine, arancini, soupes, lasagnes, raviolis, and yes - the baguette sandwich. My favorites are the grilled Italian sandwiches (panini, focaccia, etc) and salads. The baguette sandwiches are a little to heavy on the bread side, and the baguette bread is a bit tough to chew for me here. I have always wanted to try the home made lasagna, or ravioli, but haven't had a chance to yet. The prices for lunch are also reasonable for the quality and volume of food you receive in return. This place typically has a line, and it is TINY!! It is usually busy at lunch time with local business persons. The owners are Italian and very nice. They also offer a loyalty punch card - so many lunches and you get the 10th / 9th free. They also do delivery if you have an office order with a minimum of 60 chf. Just a tip, if you ask for vinegar and oil on your salad, be sure to ask for just a little bit, as they pour it on otherwise!!!

We ordered the mixed platter, one kibbie, and a small tabouli salad. The Kibbie was so good that we finished before we were able to take a picture...sorry. The Mixed Platter was great. It had chicken, lamb, kofta with a bit of labne, hummus, and a salad of lettuce, tomato and onion. The tabouli was beautiful and it also eaten almost completely before we got a picture. All of the food was some of the best Lebanese food we have had. Service was great. The atmosphere was hopping with lots of locals enjoying their Sunday lunch. No reservations taken. The place is large so if there is a wait it won't take long. Highly recommend.

I found this place through a Time Out article I read on the best cafe's in Geneva, and I am so…read morehappy I decided to stop by during my stay. It's a cute, hip. chic cafe that serves, well, chou pastries! They have your typical cream puffs with different flavors, and savory eclairs, which I found very surprising! They also have cute little chouquettes and other viennoiseries. I got the Caramel Buree Sale and Black Sesame chou (2,80 each), and the Chèvre Frais (fresh goat cheese) savory eclair (5,50). All of them were presented beautifully, and WOW. If I had all the money in the world, I might spend all of it on these chou pastries!! the Caramel Buree Sale was the perfect sweetness - just a little bit salty and very very rich and smooth caramel. The Black Sesame was also so amazing. Much sweeter than the Caramel, but it was so creamy and the black sesame flavor was very prominent. The savor eclair was also so devine! the goat cheese paired very well with the artichoke, and the carrots and pomegranate made a nice addition to it. The chou pastry itself was just amazing, and not sweetened, which made it ideal for both the sweet and the savory. So buttery, slightly crisp (but not crispy, if you know what I mean) on the outside and soft (but not mushy) on the inside. I also got two chouquettes (,50 each) for the road because my experience with the first three items were just so darn good. Little did I know that they would barely last 10 seconds, because they were so. frickin. good. I got the plain sugar and chocolate chouquette (they also have an almond flavor), and as i took my first bite of the plain sugar one, I literally said "holy hell" out loud because i was so startled at how good it was. It was light and airy, but also just a little creamy inside. The chocolate one was just as good as the sugar one. I think I easily could have devoured a dozen and not feel the slightest bit guilty. If I lived in Geneva, you'd bet everything that I would be a frequent customer, especially because they rotate their chou flavors constantly, so you'd always get to try a new flavor! The staff was also very kind. For the majority of the time I was there, it was just one girl hustling the floor, and yet she took the time to take my photo when I asked her.

We got there after the morning/early afternoon rush on a Saturday so many of the options were sold out. What remained was good (small savory eclair-type sandwiches that were interesting - most seemed to have Mediterranean-type seasonings/ingredients so a little more interesting and tasty than what you'd find at some traditional boulangerie/cafe). Worth stopping by if you're in that part of the city.

Edward's has four locations throughout Geneva. Their motto is "the fine art of sandwiches", but…read moreyou can also come here and grab a scone or muffin for breakfast. My office has used their catering services primarily for office lunch gatherings because of the good prices, food, and service. I always thought that their food was OK, but I hadn't yet eaten at the cafe until today. The cafe has a pretty large seating area if you wish to eat here vs. taking it away. Because of the long line, the service people are quick to get your order and pass it on. They didn't even ask if I wanted anything else beside my sandwich. Be sure to give your full order to the people before getting to the cash register, because the lady at the cash register was not happy to add a dessert and espresso on to my sandwich. The basic lunch options are sandwiches, soup, or salad. The sandwiches are made to order, and you can have them cold or heated. Their are three different breads to chose from - bagel, toast, or their special sourdough bread shaped by hand and baked in a wood fire. The sandwich fillings while they say are fresh are pre sliced and sitting in there waiting to be chosen. The cheese is even pre sliced and wrapped in plastic. From previous experience, I like the sourdough bread, but it is always a bit too much bread and dry, as they are light on the fillings here. However, today I chose to have my sandwich heated, and the sourdough with cheese and meat was better toasted. There are a selection of tarts, and my favourite is the raspberry. The espresso was not the best. If you are eating in, you pay, and then go find a place to sit and they deliver your sandwich to you. This place is definitely OK, nothing special, but for a quick bite, it does it's purpose. Could easily win extra points if their service was actually friendly or helpful. Tip: They now take credit card for orders over 9 CHF, and was surprised that they do serve wine.

But Edwards have an excellent quality for its price. It's good when you are really hungry and wish a good sandwich. Their "campagne" bread is delicious and I particularly love the Ham & Cheese sandwich. They warm it up and it's crunch outside and moist with a lot of taste inside. They have 4 addresses in town and all of them you can sit and have a proper lunch. Even if it's always full, it's not super loud and people come and go quickly so you always have a table. They don't take a reservation, it's like a local fast food chain. They also close early, like 17h30 on Saturdays and 18hrs on weekdays. Closed on Sundays (like many places in Geneva).
