Went in this store the other day to buy a few things then get some help with a return that I still haven't received credit for. The sales associate at the register was terribly rude, saying that if I ordered in store I wouldn't have any issues. Hmmmm... you mean if you got a commission you'd help me? Assuming they are being paid to be there and work? I'm actually surprised William Sonoma, West Elm and Pottery Barn are still in business. Ordering, shipping and delivery (things take months) are a nightmare. The "white glove" delivery is a joke, they are all filthy and it's so hot here in FL they smell. But what is so disturbing is they won't leave your home until you give them 5 stars on the survey. I had a 6'4" dude here a couple weeks ago and I was so intimidated that I actually got scared. That's not ok!!! I was alone here at the house and he would not leave. Get it together! Until then it's Crate and Barrel. They are responsive, gracious and the delivery guys actually take their shoes off and wear gloves. read more

I read all of the review of the poor customer service, and I went there anyway with my wife because she wanted new pillows. Within 40 seconds of walking into the store, I was asked if I needed help. She took us to the pillow area a and showed us the samples. the clerk in the area also assessed us. One clerk went to the back to look for stock. While I was waiting for her another clerk saw me standing there and asked if I needed help. By the end of my transaction I had worked with 5 customer service/clerks. All were helpful and I went home very happy. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!! Someone is not listening!!!!! I ordered a coffee table and took the end table to go. Waited outside the "pick up" door which has a clear sign saying be patient. Rang the bell waited 10 minutes, no answer rang the bell again waited 10 minutes. Called the store said hello I'm back here waiting someone came out placed it in the back of my truck and I was off. Got home it was a NIGHTSTAND!!!!! At this point I'm soooooooo frustrated, annoyed!!! Pottery Barn is my one of my favorite stores! Their design service has assisted us with our last 3 homes and have done an excellent job. It's great when things are on sale, but you get what you pay for in their products. From furniture, area rugs, lights, and even wall fixtures - it completes our living space. Good location. Beautiful layout. This location has a good amount of merchandise. But the service here is awful. The employees rarely answer their phone. Unless you look a "certain" way, they do not acknowledge you in the store. I have been to this location at least 10 times, and none of the employees have ever said hello, or asked me if I needed any help. This is the only pottery barn I've had this experience at. I have been to the Pottery Barns in Boca Ratón, Aventura, Coral Gables, and Sarasota. Every time I come to the Pottery Barn in Naples it's the same experience so I just purchase everything online. read more

They never answer the phone at this location. Most, but not all, of the sales associates are too busy to help you. Worst PB I have ever dealt with. Their website lies about lead-times and their service after placing an order is horrendous at best. Finally was handed over to a salesperson who was trying to be helpful but even he couldn't give me any answers. I went to the Naples store reluctantly as I had heard about how rude they are but I needed fabric samples and to sit in a chair I wanted to purchase. I was told to go to the back counter. There the associate instantly told me I am busy on the phone but I'll get you the samples you want just let me know which ones. She was short and quite nasty in her initial approach. Another associate came up and said can I help you and the rude person on the phone said NO I am helping her. Which she was not, I got 3 sample fabrics when I asked for 6 ( one was unavailable) she just didn't bother to look. I then asked her to direct me to the sample Tyler chair and again said I am to busy. I found the chair on my own, left with my samples and will never return. I gave 2 starts ...one to the person who tried to help and for the rude associate who did get me 3 sample fabrics. Avoid this store if possible or expect rudeness, go home and order from the catalog. read more

I am a frequent customer at Pottery Barn. I was in the Naples, Florida store and found a painting I wanted to buy. The sales associate said they cannot sell anything off the floor and it would have to be ordered. I brought my husband into the store to see it and the painting was gone. Yes, they had taken it off the wall and sold it to someone else !!! I have tried to call customer service, store manager, and no-one cares to help me locate another painting. So I went online to Pottery Barn and purchased it however, it has been sitting with an order number but no activity. Just ORDERED. Delivery date unknown. I don't like Pottery Barns attitude. Wanted to see wood samples to order a dining table-nobody could find the samples-twice, after driving over an hour as it's the only store in SW Florida.Never any merchandise on shelf or in the back stock room. Asked a salesperson for help, she arrogantly told me to wait in line -that she only does floor displays for this one store only. She was too busy moving one sheet from one shelf to another. No other merchandise in sight. Same person rudely ignored all customers waiting at the door during a brief closure do to a computer glitch. Some again driving a long distance. I went to the Naples store today to return an inferior quality bedspread that I purchased in February. I realize it was passed their return policy date, but I had spoken to customer service on the phone and also to a store associate who was very helpful. Both told me to bring the quilt with quality issues back to the store and the manager should be able to help me with the return. I had my original sales receipt. Arriving at the store I asked to speak to the manager, Rose. After being filled in by another associate on my situation she approached the desk with a definite attitude. It was apparent she didn't want anything to do with me, and was not the least bit friendly. She was adamant that she couldn't help me even after showing her the problem with the Tencel quilt. She stated that this material does this and told me to use a lint roller on the excessive pilling that was coming out of the Tencel king size quilt. This was insulting. Customer service is apparently lacking at this store and it definitely left a very poor impression of Pottery Barn in general. I have shopped for years at PB, but after this experience I will not be returning to this store. read more

Wife and I went in to ask about some floating shelves we saw online and maybe look at samples. Staff was EXTREMELY rude, didn't even CARE to talk to us. One lady said "can you not see I'm on the phone? geez!" When we weren't even talking to her, but were talking to her co-worker (who happened to be sitting next to her) who, mind you, also very rudely said, "can you not see I'm working and I'm busy with something more important?" Placed a big furniture order with Pottery Barn back in February. Furniture delivered on April 11. The delivery man setting up the reclining sofa alerted us to the fact that the mechanism that raises and lowers the foot rest is hitting the carpet. He took a picture and sent to someone in customer service. On 4/12 I called to follow up. I was asked to send in pictures. I did. Received notification thanking me for pictures and was told someone would get back to me. After waiting I followed up again on 4/17. No response. After several frustrating phone calls still no contact. The Naples customer service rep is trying to help me but still no contact. It is now 4/26. I will be leaving for season next week. Beyond disgusted. I do not recommend Pottery Barn. Their customer service is non-existent. read more

The gentleman beside her was on the phone with another customer and I had to plug my ear because I couldn't even hear what the cashier was saying to me. We have literally spent thousands buying items from this company so this review is not company based, but staff that works at this store, based. The sales people, not all I hope, but the ones while we were there, especially a blonde older woman with a Eastern European accent, that passed us several times, not making any eye contact or greeting us asking if we needed any help? Just plain rude! Not one salesperson in this store said a word to us and just walked past us as if we were invisible! We found a particular item and walked over to the register, stood in line and once again were completely ignored. Someone usually says we'll be w/you in a moment! Nothing! The blonde woman that ignored us earlier was behind the counter wrapping a bunch of dishes and could've stopped for a second to checkout the one item we wanted to purchase or at least acknowledge that we were present! After a few minutes of being totally ignored we put the item back and left! The Management of this store needs to hold a meeting with its sales staff and instruct them in proper sales etiquette! I have a Mitchell-Gold PB sofa I purchased over 13 years ago and based on its comfort, durability, and ease of cleaning, I returned to PB. I have visited countless furniture stores - high-end through consignment - and have not found the comfort, style, choice of fabric and high quality at PB prices. The Labor Day sale was too good to pass up so I returned to test out the furniture. The first time I visited this store I did not find the sales person very helpful. However, my recent visit provided a great experience with a salesperson, Lisa. I can't say enough about how she listened to what I was interested in, made suggestions about fabric and other considerations (i.e., size of room, ceiling height, et.), and found the best way to order the items to take advantage of all savings! It was obvious she had a very good design sense yet did not push me into any decisions - she wanted me to be happy with my choices. She knew detailed information about the furniture and how/where it was made (PB now has their own factory). I ended up purchasing a sofa, two upholstered chairs, and a media cabinet - love them all! Will probably add a floor lamp and pillows. What a relief after months of shopping.... Based on other reviews, I suggest anyone visiting this store should ask for Lisa!!! read more

I have shopped at the Naples Pottery Barn for years. As a matter of fact, most of my home furnishings are from PB (ordered through that store). The customer service at this location is typically hit or miss. However, yesterday I was in the store trying to buy multiple items and I was appalled by the rudeness of an associate. I was trying to maneuver a heavy lazy Susan to the cash register. I placed it on the counter (I also had three other items) and she rudely told me to move my things. I explained that I was ready to pay and she repeated "I told you to move them. You have to keep the counters clear." There was no-one standing at the counter and no reason I could not place my items there. She went on..."No one is going to check you out there." I questioned why, and so did another customer in line. She then began speaking in Spanish to another associate who came to ring me up and she glared at me in a threatening manner. The store was a complete mess, there were no areas to store so items so customers could continue shopping, and the rudeness was abhorrent. Other customers were experiencing the same. I will never give the Naples Pottery Barn my business again. As a complete contrast, today I traveled 70 miles north to the University Town Center PB. The store was tidy and beautiful. The associates went out of their way to assist me - even helping me to order a rug by phone from a PB in Lansing, Michigan. Wife and I purchased a sectional approximately 1.5 years ago while living in Chicago. Service there was extremely helpful but that's not the case at this location. We walked in on a Sunday, out of season, to walk around looking. I was actually interested in buying a new cushion for the sectional. Not a single staff member asked us for assistance and I even waited around two of them who were just chatting away. Shame on PotteryBarn for not cleaning up this staff and give them proper training on how to help a customer and give them the knowledge of how to operate the computer and help customers with the merchandise. I chose this rating because although Deborah was very nice, we were dissastified with her performance as a sales associate. We went in to purchase some items and also order two nightstands on online. Deborah assured us that ordering online from the store would be easier, when in fact, in turned into a huge ordeal that is still not solved. Apparently, something went wrong with the processing system through pottery barn and our order didn't go through. We had left the store and were home for multiple hours when Deborah called me in a panic to tell me "she made a mistake". When I told Deborah I was confused because we left with receipts/confirmation numbers she told me "she would have to call me back because she was busy". We waited around all night for her call and she never returned our call leaving the issue unresolved. The next day my husband called to speak to pottery barn and asked to speak to Deborah. After he was put on hold, someone else answered the phone and told him "they had washed their hands of this issue" and that we would have to handle it from this point. It is extremely upsetting to receive this customer service from pottery barn. We are loyal pottery barn customers and even did our wedding registry here. We are upset that we did nothing wrong but now are left with issue to handle that happened due to the sales associate. Very disappointing, especially with all the money we have spent at pottery barn. I board 4 Foliage Wall Fern for 200 $. They were offered also for outdoor and the coolest outdoor weather conditions.... After a while they changed and lost Colors and felt apart. Very very poor Quality. I spoke to the customer Service after they put me in a 1 hour waiting line and explaned what happened. They told me later, that i didn`t care about the plants. What??? This is a joke because they are artifical. Terrible Customer service! I live in Sweden and absolutely Love pottery barn, so whenever I visit the US, I go there to do some shopping and get inspired. American stores in general give outstanding service, so I was very surprised to have such a poor Customer experience in the Naples pottery barn store the other day. There were several staff in the store, not too many customers. The staff were busy running around fixing things and talking to each other and didnt seem to have time to greet customers. After a while, I went up to the register to ask to buy one of the things they only had on display, and the response I got told me they thought I was making their life difficult since they had to go in the back to get it. They had three different kinds, but I was told I had to choose one because they didnt want to get all three for me to look at. After a long wait, I finally got to see the item, noone apologized for the wait. I bought it, and the man behind the counter did not smile once and did not even say Thank you! I asked for a catalogue, and an other woman just handed me one from behind the counter without a smile or saying anything. It made me feel like I was actually not wanted and in their way, not worthy of their attention. I was amazed at how they ineract with - paying - customers and will nerver go back again. It is disappointing, I have been to PB stores in NC, new york and other places and Customer service has been excellent - so beware of the one in Naples! read more

My experience at this particular location has been nothing short of terrible. Both times I have been in this store, I was completely ignored- while others walking in behind me were fought over to be helped. I know this is due to my age. Both times, after aimlessly waiting for ten minutes, I walked up to the counter and kindly asked for assistance. BOTH times I was greeted with snotty and rushed assistance. Today, I walked in to show my husband a couch and purchase a sectional. I could not remember the name, but pointed out where it was previously displayed on their floor and where it was located via catalog. The women keep repeating "I can't remember, I don't know, you don't have the name?" After asking her for a catalog twice and her acting like I just ruined her day with a question- she responded she didn't have a catalog. She not once stopped to look my in the eye and try and work together on a solution, continued to sticker and go about what she was doing. I will be going to a different location for my purchase. I walked in today with the intent of purchasing a $5000 couch and walked out empty handed. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, to a location that at least gives ALL of their customers the time of day, no matter their age. read more

My experience at Pottery Barn was dreadful. Their customer service is nonexistent. Their sales staff rude. We purchased approximately $10,000 worth of furniture from PB when we bought our Naples FL. condo in 2013. The feathers in the two couch cushions leached through the liners and stained the white cushions. When I went to the store at Waterside the first saleswomen told me I needed to go back to the store in Ma. where we bought them ( even though they were delivered to Naples). She then said the manager would contact me. Never happened. She gave me an 800 number. After a wait of over an hour their rep said she would replace the cushions and I would get a confirming email. I received nothing. When I called back the rep said they had no record of the conversation and told me PB would not even look into why this happened. I wrote to PB in their website but got no response. The staff at PB in Naples had no interest in even listening to our problem. From the very beginning they blew us off. We were and are very frustrated and will never purchase from them again. read more

I adore PB products and I used to shop here until I started getting really rude treatment from staff. When you bring your items to the register to pay, the employees are all too busy and all flee the registers, they complain that "oh this register isn't working" and I've had to wait for 30 mins for them to literally take care of 3 people, not complicated things, just people buying candles or pillows. The staff are all older ladies who can't be bothered with actually working. PLEASE get new staff here!! They are never to found when you actually want to buy a couch. They don't help, AT ALL. I needed to find a present for my wife and could find it nowhere.A neighbor suggested Pottery Barn.I went in and was in total shock! never saw a store with every single thing a house would ever need. I was greeted immediately upon entering the store by a very nice lady named Terri.I explained my dilemma and she said no problem.Within 20 minutes i had the gift,all the extra's that should would need with it.She was so nice and knew everything about what i needed and found out later she had saved me almost 30% over anywhere else ! If you need ANYTHING for a house this is the place and if you need help ask for Terri.All the people were super nice,store was super clean and orderly,cannot go wrong going here.Thank you Terri she loved the gift and those things you said she would need? needed every one !
